All this, Hal/Kyle/Jon talk. Everyone knows the greatest Green Lantern ever was G'nort.

Again I wonder why we cannot have Agent Carter replace AoS permanently.

Because Disney has a plan? And that plan is made by people who know the entertainment industry?

I don't want to start a flame war, but let's consider that Nick Fury (from the comics), was originally a white dude, and when Sam Jackson got the part there was brief astonishment, but most Marvel fans soon readily accepted the change as a positive one (Sam Jackson is such a badass actor that even people with "black agenda" conspi-racist views could not muster the argument that this was done for the "diversification of Marvel")

...and bam. After 5 min they make the head of SHIELD a white dude again.

I'm aware of the positive "COULSON" effect within Marvel, and I genuinely love the actor and the guy, but geez, couldn't they keep Sam Jackson/Fury as the head honcho of SHIELD? Wasn't there some room for coexistence?? The show doesn't need to focus on the Director. If they can make a show like '24' shoehorn an entire season's worth of shows in a single day, story-wise, what's stopping "Agents of SHIELD" from operating on a less grandiose arc, with stories spanning months and months, in preference of a more focused operation spanning one season? (i.e. one season could have been spent finding Von Strucker's castle which gets stormed by the Avengers at the beginning of their second movie, instead of just 'honorable mentions' here and there... make the show actually matter for the movies, and don't be afraid to 'mix the blood' i.e. have Coulson (again!), Sky, or Fitz show up in certain big screen scenes, perhaps running simulations for Stark or Banner or uploading some life-saving software to Jarvis remotely...)

I feel it would be better that way... more connected. With the current way you can almost hear the beans being counted and the lawyer papers rustling in the background...

That's at the rather unimpressive end of what they can do, a trained african grey can easily go far, far beyond that. I've heard of parakeets with 100 word lists.

Newcastle United forever!

I understand your laughter. Given you're a soccer fan, it's either that or cry.

Good Morning.

Why is it everyday I have to close up more threads, or even an entire section of the boards, and it always seems to be because of the same few posters?

Sadly, same here. It sucks even more when I see certain people that I'd usually think better of engaging in trollish behavior.

Was it Mairkurion? Or maybe Celestial Healer?

Sigh...

An internship. Which, I'm sure, consists of slightly more than just fetching coffee.
Geoff Johns wrote:
I met a bunch of people from DC and I gave them a tour of the set, fetching Richard Donner's coffee and spilling it on myself.
So yes, you're right, there was spillage involved too.

From Wikipedia:

Johns started off copying scripts, and after about two months, was hired as a runner, or production assistant for Donner, whom Johns regards as his mentor

Also from Wikipedia:

In unionized television and feature film, production assistants are usually divided into different categories: "Set PA", "Truck PA", "Office PA or Set Runner" and "Extra PA or Daily" - Variations exist depending on a show's structure or region of the United States or Canada.

Office PAs' usually spend most hours in the respective show's production office handling such tasks as phones, deliveries, script copies, lunch pick-ups, and related tasks in coordination with the production manager and production coordinator.

So, yes, there was more than just carrying and spilling coffee. Maybe when you convince a well-known director to give you a job after talking with him on the phone, you could revisit this issue.

Hey! Can I play this game?

Lois Lane wins!!!
