Hmm... well if that's the case, I'll just give you guys a link to the discussion so we can make plans. The starting level would be a whopping 16, and 315,000 starting gold. The only thing that would be off limits is Tomes of bonus stats, and anything that costs more than 100,000 gold.

Bomb Ahoy: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17
Seeing the 2 of the soldiers right beside each other, Zaul smiles before he throws the container square at the man's chest. "A little cupric for you...!" is all he says as it lands. The explosions, despite it's landing, is a black and green mist. "Seems I'm short a few contents." he claims. Alchemist bombs deal their lowest possible damage upon a miss, but I frankly don't believe that does. And if it does hit him, then the guy to his right takes 6 as well.
Male Human Alchemist 1 HP: 11/11 AC: 13 Fort +5, Reflex +5 Will -1
With the sudden chink in the door, Zaul smiles. "Well, Grumblejack..." he says as he pulls the door out. "You're by all accounts free." he points out as he turns around and reaches into the tiny pouch on his clothes and sort of mixes a bomb as he walks slowly towards the rest of the group. "Now... where to cherry pick." He looks at the group with a bit of a grin. "Carnadine, I grow weary of this combat and I expected it to be over much faster. Would you care to take a quick lunge back?" he asks, tossing the small container up in the air a few times as he looks on. Delay action till Carnadine moves so I can throw this monster.

Enchantment doesn't typically go away once the wizard dies as there's no concentration clause to it. That said, it most definitely doesn't go away, but at the same time I can't predict what the woman'll do. Also, given the circumstances I'm tempted to throw one of my 5 bombs of the day into this melee, but they deal 6 damage even if they miss, so that's something to worry about, as I can't just toss them in the middle of everyone because, like I said, they'll hurt you too.
Male Human Alchemist 1 HP: 11/11 AC: 13 Fort +5, Reflex +5 Will -1
As Zaul continues to work on the cage, he smiles. "You know, Grumblejack, I've the feeling you've been in here longer than us, yes? Ever seen anything of... interest?" he asks with a quizzical look as he fiddles with the lock. Keep on Disabling
Male Human Alchemist 1 HP: 11/11 AC: 13 Fort +5, Reflex +5 Will -1
Hmm... from the sounds of that, I believe I'll just hold onto my potions until I get my hands on a formulae book: Which is literally any book I can get my hands on with pages... which is all of them. I imagine this "Estate" or whatever we'll end up at eventually will likely have no small amount of books in it, and within this prison, I don't see much point in using my personal formulae, least of all on myself. That said, I *do* have 5 bombs at my disposal that can do no less than 6 damage... So hooray, I technically deal the most damage among us right now.
Male Human Alchemist 1 HP: 11/11 AC: 13 Fort +5, Reflex +5 Will -1
Greater Natural Weapon is a thing. People often underestimate the value of potions, really. Chances are I'll be making potions for the whole group eventually. Zaul likes to be prepared... Though I do admit, I'm going to be looking deep into poisons.
Male Human Alchemist 1 HP: 11/11 AC: 13 Fort +5, Reflex +5 Will -1
Zaul grins and chuckles a bit. "Frankly I don't enjoy killing. I've only committed murder 6 times, honestly, and I was actually hoping for 7." he says with a sigh. "Though it was more vengeful than just straight evil. Honestly out of the lot of everyone here I might be the least evil." he says with a bit of a chuckle as everyone readies themselves to kill the others. "But yes... we are gonna break more littl'uns today, aren't we? I guess this is just how luck is, then."
Male Human Alchemist 1 HP: 11/11 AC: 13 Fort +5, Reflex +5 Will -1
With the acquisition of his bombs, Zaul looks at the situation unfolding and things calmly to himself. Would it be wise to use my bombs right now?" he asks as he turns to look at them. Placing the key in the door, however, he continues to think about it. Considering, however, the numeric advantage and the calmness of Keres, he figures he'll hold onto them now that he's in regular peasant clothes. "You know, Grumblejack. You'll probably not be out of this cage by the time these guards are dead, but, I figure i'll take my time, yes?" Disable Device: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17
Male Human Alchemist 1 HP: 11/11 AC: 13 Fort +5, Reflex +5 Will -1
Seeing everything beginning to unfold, Zaul shrugs. Realizing exactly what they had at their hands at the moment, he figured it best to spend his time opening up grumblejack's cage. "There there, friend, this'll all be over within an instant, I imagine." he says with a whisper. "Now then... let's get you out of here." Postponing Disable Device check as that's a full round action.
Male Human Alchemist 1 HP: 11/11 AC: 13 Fort +5, Reflex +5 Will -1
Zaul shakes his head. "As much as I adore subtlety, I have the feeling we're not given the luxury. Guile and wit aren't necessary to flee a prison... and frankly I feel we're more than capable of escaping with muscle alone." he says as he points to the Ogre.
Male Human Alchemist 1 HP: 11/11 AC: 13 Fort +5, Reflex +5 Will -1
Catching a snag on Carnadine's Manacles he skipped him, thinking he'd done it properly yet forcefully. Rubbish or not, he definitely was under pressure. "Dammit." he whispers. Disable Device: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (14) + 11 = 25 he turns to help the man again, placing the tools in properly. After that, knowing he'd done it properly, he jingles the tools just a little, placing them forcefully within the door to unlock it as well, finally. Disable Device: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 9 = 11 he snags on the door since the locks are different, however, and grumbles. Disable Device: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (9) + 11 = 20 His second attempt, however, he finds is far more sound. Disable Device: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22 he tickles it, however, just to be sure.
Male Human Alchemist 1 HP: 11/11 AC: 13 Fort +5, Reflex +5 Will -1
Zaul cringes as he hears the squeak. That aside, he makes it a point to quickly, and much more carefully, fix the rest of the manacles, starting with Paimon; Disable Device: 1d20 + 7 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 7 + 4 = 24 which he practically undoes with a staggering ease. Continuing on, he gets what he believes is the bulkiest of the group; the Half-orc, Ogren; Disable Device: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (12) + 11 = 23 and realizes that these manacles are pathetic. "These manacles are childs play..." he whispers under his breath. Shortly after, he gets Carnadine Disable Device: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (8) + 11 = 19 and the rest of the group as well.
"Alright then. Best grab those weapons." he says as he slips back into his shackles. "So we wait, then? Or should we cut the facade and work towards getting our way out of here." he asks. "Actually. I've an idea." he wonders aloud. "That guard had a horn... and, frankly speaking, I don't want it blown. If Grumblejack makes a distraction with his boisterous form, we could deck the whistleblower." he points out.
Male Human Alchemist 1 HP: 11/11 AC: 13 Fort +5, Reflex +5 Will -1
Hearing the hushed bellow, Zaul looks to the side and sees himself being looked at, and immediately worries about the guards who might hear him."Sincerest apologies." he says as he looks the Ogre over. "We automatically assumed you... hostile. Speaking common alone is impressive." he claims as he looks up to the giant. "You want in, then?" he asks with a slight smile. With that, he scratches at the veil and grabs onto the thieves tools, with a wide grin. He immediately sets himself to the task of removing the shackles. Disable Device: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17 With a deft flick of his wrist, whether he gets the shackles on time or not, he easily removes himself from the manacles, which he's fairly certain were practically ancient. With that, however, he immediately sets to unshackling paimon as well. Disable Device: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (11) + 9 = 20 A task he realizes he's slowly getting better at. With that done, however, he moves farther on... As he does, he points to the veil to Paimon. "The veil also has swords or daggers. I feel those are of use to you, and your hands are free. Take watch." he says. Looking back at the Ogre he smiles. "Keep quiet. I'll be with you in just a moment alright?" Will wait for DM approval to continue
Male Human Alchemist 1 HP: 11/11 AC: 13 Fort +5, Reflex +5 Will -1
A person who has the masterwork tools likely has enough leverage and capability with the tools to get themselves out of their own issue. That said, myself and Paimon are completely capable of unshackling ourselves, I'd imagine. None of the rest of you can, but if either of us get the tools, we can start breaking folks out. Also I doubt it would be difficult to pass the veil along the wall through all of us to get to the destination. We've got plenty of options. We just need to wait on Detect magic to go through if we have it, otherwise someone needs to roll a UMD which I believe I have. Also I want to state right now that if I don't have it, it's because I forgot to place it in and I'll be fixing it shortly because I know for a fact I put a point in it because I planned on making wands in the future.
Male Human Alchemist 1 HP: 11/11 AC: 13 Fort +5, Reflex +5 Will -1
Zaul looks to the ogre with a bit of worry and whispers as well. "Frankly speaking I don't think we have a choice... if he sees us leaving, he's likely to cause a ruckus out of jealously or outrage, right? We'll need to get his attention and give him a plan..." he points out. "Or. Or... we can just let him go in the middle of the night and use him as a distraction." he muses. "Decisions, decisions..."
Male Human Alchemist 1 HP: 11/11 AC: 13 Fort +5, Reflex +5 Will -1
Well. There's our plan's rough draft, unless you guys want to include our giant Neighbor... he seems like he could take the guards. Paimon could likely take them out fast enough along with the rest of us. It's just a matter of... doing it quietly, and, with unarmed strikes that's not particularly the easiest thing in the world. We'd do better to swipe weapons from an armory, which I'm sure this prison has. The clubs/saps those guards are using seem pretty effective too. Unfortunately I'm not about to heal Paimon for his nonlethal damage, even if he is at 2/3rds his nonlethal health.
Male Human Alchemist 1 HP: 11/11 AC: 13 Fort +5, Reflex +5 Will -1
Zaul watches the display with little intrigue and if anything, he holds back a chuckle at the man's flamboyant method of show and tell. "Strange women and play rehearsal aside, I've got a theory." he whispers. Leaning closer to them to avoid the ire of the guards just outside, he whispers towards Carnadine; "It's needless to say that we can't do anything with a veil. Our "Person of Interest" is obviously smart enough to send us something we can actually use to get out of this hellhole, yes?" he asks as he looks around at them. Finishing his drink with a haste; he develops his theory openly. "The Veil has some rather... tasteless... workings on it. All the more reason to assume that this thing is magical." he says as he points at it. "Tonight, when the guards are sparse and drowsy and the warden, or whoever runs this place, is nice and cozy, let's let me, or the fellow who seems eager to, draw the magic from that veil, which is very obviously magic, somehow, and cause a ruckus... the 6 of us might be unarmed, but I imagine we can take the guards if they still think we're chained up. Element of surprise and whatnot, yes?" he asks as he looks at the veil and back at the guards with quick darting eyes. "Also, I should inform the lot of you I used to be a renowned plague doctor before I realized there was malpractice in the ranks... You'd do well to let me have the potion within that veil, if it works the way I think it does." he says sternly. "It won't be poisoned, I imagine, but it'd be good to know what it does. I'm not much use without a bow or my formulae book."
Male Human Alchemist 1 HP: 11/11 AC: 13 Fort +5, Reflex +5 Will -1
I honestly don't see how. Most folks probably just get upset because they don't have any gear to work with, but honestly that just adds to the fun. Also Carnadine, as the token Alchemist, I may give you enough reason to let me have the potion. If only to test the contents.
Male Human Alchemist 1 HP: 11/11 AC: 13 Fort +5, Reflex +5 Will -1
Still shackled, Zaul looks the man over as he approaches once again. Once the guards had left, he smiled. "We figure'd you'd been done justice early. Maybe a reward for the poetry?" he asks with a coy grin. Shaking his head. "Jokes aside, dear boy, what, pray tell, just took place?" he asks, looking the situation over.
Male Human Alchemist 1 HP: 11/11 AC: 13 Fort +5, Reflex +5 Will -1
Zaul wastes little time in eating his food, but after half of it's gone he proceeds to finish it much slower after having completely drank the water. "All this talk of Asmodeus is nice and all, but proudly professing your faith will see you dead sooner in here, if I'm correct?" he asks as he finishes the bread. Looking to the man making the strange noises, he raises an eyebrow but ignores it. "Still. I wonder why they threw us all in the same cell. Rest're empty, aren't they?" he asks as he looks around.
Male Human Alchemist 1 HP: 11/11 AC: 13 Fort +5, Reflex +5 Will -1
Zaul cringes as they place the thick bit of the club into his stomach. Once the guards leave, he shrugs slightly. He fidgets with his manacles, not paying much attention to the situation after that. "It's a shame they keep these manacles so high, isn't it? These locks... they've got to be ancient." he muses. He thrumbs his finger about the side of them, listening for the tinking sound with his long uncut fingernails he'd sharpened to a point for the sake of keeping even more distance from the plague victims. "Oh and for anyone wondering, I was caught for Forgery." He chuckles. "Though I'll admit I did worse." he says with a smile.
Male Human Alchemist 1 HP: 11/11 AC: 13 Fort +5, Reflex +5 Will -1
The dank and murky prison cell proved to be warmer than it had been recently, what with the new company. For a lengthy amount of time Zaul hadn't paid much attention to his fellow prison mates, lost in his own thoughts about how he could best get out of here. Alas, he managed to finally raise his head. He didn't appreciate his lack of uniform at the moment either, but finally speaks after being shackled to the wall when the Dhampir does. "I believe we're far past the time for poetry." he says as he raises up, standing for the first time in a while. While out of his uniform, Zaul is lean, but far from muscular. However, he seems rather capable, and has short brown hair that you're all fairly certain was bald when you first met him. You'd be correct. "Least I've the luxury of a woman to my right." he says as he turns to his left. "Could be worse." he points out with a shrug.
Male Human Alchemist 1 HP: 11/11 AC: 13 Fort +5, Reflex +5 Will -1
Oh this is going to be just swell. I sincerely recommend the lot of you be ready to reply to me consistently. I plan on enjoying the hell out of this campaign and I've never been one to wait for responses, but I'm not going to just shut down conversations mid-action :D I'm excited~ Also Zaul is not pleased about being out of his uniform, and the instant he gets the chance he'll be using Craft: Leather to remake his uniform. Provided we get the chance he could also make leather armor or Lamellar for others if we've got the resources.
Male Human Alchemist 1 HP: 11/11 AC: 13 Fort +5, Reflex +5 Will -1
I never really did the entire "How does he do this in this situation" type of questionare, and I'd personally like to before the campaign starts just to nip a few questions related to him in the bud. Out of the entire group, Zaul is probably the least evil, honestly.
Shouldn't be too long now. I remember the last person I wanted in on this. Was a Fighter that was known for stabbing people with a set of dagger gauntlets. Couldn't wield or grab anything with his left hand, but dammit, it was intimidating. Got Snake style at level 1 and focused stats into Sense Motive. Was a cool character to me, but he didn't get accepted. Zaul is a little more believable/down to earth, but just the right level of addled.
Or, you know, the Manacles on your wrists, one of the bars from the cage, the loo itself, a ball and chain on your ankle, a shiv, a floor panel, a halfling, the metalwork of the bed-spread with no mattress, a mattress, an eating spoon, a guard helmet, any number of rocks, an up-turned stone from the floor, an eating plate. Pretty much anything the DM mentions turns into a deadly weapon if it's unconscious.
Wivvy on the bright side, regardless of whether you take that feat or not you can still be proficient with it if you wield it in 2 hands. Doubt that's handy, though. If you're okay with that, though, you could just grab a greatsword. If you're entirely worried just take Catch-Off-Guard if you're worried about weapon acquisition. Hmm... Fancied myself more "Skill" than Arcane, but an Alchemist does have his roots. That aside, tomorrow's the big day, isn't she? Color me excited for the results.
Fairly certain the adventure path handbook mentioned an Alchemist's lack of Formulae book and doing something about it, but I'm really interested to see how I'll be able to handle it. Likely we'll just kill a couple of guards in the prison break and I would be able to nab a bow and use it. Got the dex for it, anyway.
Cam, while a Goblin is a really good idea, you should probably know that Asmodeous might be a better idea given the setting. Way of the wicked, from what I understand, has a way of molding it's characters into a given niche. Also to the fellow who was wondering if Demonic Vessel would be allowed, well, now might actually be the best time to give that a whirl. In regards to myself, however, I see my role being one of support and somewhat ranged damage. I'll be brewing as many potions as I'm able to, really. I'll be grabbing the "Other people can use your stuff" Discovery as soon as I smack level 2, if I make the cut. Also good deities are probably not wise at all, least of all Mitra.
