Hello all!!
Long time lurker here and i want to nix that and actually start playing a game :)
So i am thinking that my submission will be a goblin! (because i love dem gobos XD)
He will be a goblin cleric (of gorum? I dont know his patron yet :s)
He will have big floppy ears and have a high wisdom so he will have really good perception. He will run around and use "Murderous Command" as his signature spell, cackling like a maniac every time he uses it, which wont be every combat. I dont want that much repitition :(
I think ill try and generally focus on debuffs as he is a devious little Bad Moon Cleric >:)
A brief bit on his backstory as ill flesh it out more later on.
Gobo* name to be decided :p was one of the shamans of the Bad Moons tribe. A fast and hyperactive goblin as they all were, Gobo was gifted with a unique gift, he could notice things. While everyone can see things most goblins, and other creatures as well, wernt very good at using their eyes. Gobo could tell that the troll wasnt real because it cast no shadow. There was a trap in the ground and it was obvious because there was dirt piled up around it. He could always tell when Chief GrubSnap was lying because he did that thing with his toes...
Well one day GrubSnap decided to raid the town, as he would often do, to steal livestock and shiny baubles. As the clan was locked in battle with the town militia Gobo was having a right larf compelling one guard to turn on the other, and then be branded a heretic or traitor and cut down by his allies.
Gobo was reletively safe where he was, he was a ways from the front lines and GrubSnap was on the other side of the field, far away from being able to backstab Gobo so he ahould be able to concentrate on... Crunch!
Gobo barely got a glimpse of his assailant before be blacked out. A small and scrawny goblin assassin dressed in all black with beady red eyes betraying a hint of something otherworldly... Before the creature darted away and the signal to retreat was sounded.
Gobo had been set up. and possible nemesis/reoccurring villan?
Now normally a wounded goblin found on the battlefield is simply killed on sight but a shaman was a trophy find, and since it was Sargent Wilcox who found him, he decided to make an example of him.
Gobo was sentinced to court where ge was given a "fair" trial. They threw the book at him, condenming him for everything from murder to sabotauge to arson to "being too ugly to walk these fair streets"... Everything. While some of it was true it didnt really matter. He was found guilty and branded.
Noe he awaits public exicution so that he may be made an example of...
But he wont wait quietly...
So, i still need to work on a name, his diety and his domains.
Could anyone help me with some good ideas here?

Paimon the Fool |

Well first, you can't have a cleric of Gorum in this game. With the restrictions on alignment its actually impossible to have a divine follower of a chaotic neutral deity. Trust me, I'd love an anti-paladin of Calistria. Asmodeus isn't so bad a deity for a cleric. I think a goblin could appreciate his evil.

Zaul, the Plague Doctor |

Cam, while a Goblin is a really good idea, you should probably know that Asmodeous might be a better idea given the setting. Way of the wicked, from what I understand, has a way of molding it's characters into a given niche.
Also to the fellow who was wondering if Demonic Vessel would be allowed, well, now might actually be the best time to give that a whirl.
In regards to myself, however, I see my role being one of support and somewhat ranged damage. I'll be brewing as many potions as I'm able to, really. I'll be grabbing the "Other people can use your stuff" Discovery as soon as I smack level 2, if I make the cut.
Also good deities are probably not wise at all, least of all Mitra.

Elmae Valmia |

So, as someone who's seen a ton of WotW recruitment threads, might I be so bold as to ask if the campaign is really that amazing? I doubt I'll make a character for this one, as it has a ton of character applications already, but it's something I've just been wondering, I guess.
(Though depending on whether I did apply /stats rolled, I think I'd really want to try something focused on Improvised Weapons [Think something like the butcher's daughter gone somewhat mad] or...I don't know, something else.)
So we'll just do this and say that Focus is Strength and Wis is foible.
Set 1:
1d10+7: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
1d10+7: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
1d10+7: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10
1d10+7: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10
Set 2:
1d10+7: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
1d10+7: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15
1d10+7: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12
1d10+7: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17

Jolly Roger |

So thinking about a Tiefling who was a good and just cleric of Mitra, but who got in an accident and suffered massive brain injury (hence his low int). After his recovery his look on life changed obviously and events led him to the prison.
Focus on channeling since hes a fiendish vessel, will also give him Shatter resolve for an added debuff and flame domain for some boom boom options. Hoping to eventually get rid of that nasty con stat through lichdom ;).
Will need some time to work that background out properly though.

OOOOO yet another WotR!
My new desk job will make this very easy for me and i get to use my new Inner Sea Gods book!

Tim Woodhams |

Personally I'm against it but I understand why other like it.
Rather than repeating myself there is a discussion on this thread about it.

Elmae Valmia |

Aaah...Well, I'll still probably sit this one out. I like to get my stuff done earlier, and there's already quite a few contenders. I'm also not quite used to the idea of making villains, so it'd take me a good deal longer to do, I think. I did look at the player's guide, and amongst the crimes, I have to admit that I'm somewhat surprised sexual assault isn't on there. When one mentions "heinous crimes", that one does tend to spring to mind almost immediately. ._.

1 person marked this as a favorite. |

I'm not any good at the crafty, roguish evil. Or the full-idiot-salt-the-women-and-rape-the-fields evil. Only at the "I'm a jerk out for myself, and I will do literally anything to accomplish my goals" evil. Which is probably for the best, because it's the easiest to work into a group, in my experience. :3
-e-
Oh boy, a drawfriend hooked me up with a portrait for Rekran. Observe his sand dwarf glory!

Elmae Valmia |

I can do more subtle evil just fine, I was just bringing up the assault bit for the "What did you do" hook, not for something intended for the actual game. Like I said, though, I'm sitting this one out. =P
(Admittedly, I do want to play a sort of "cracked" character, though. One who's more savage, but easily controlled by party members if she gets a bit out of hand.)

Will Pratt |

While on this sslubject I have a question. Will this disqualify my character? While he himself has not and would not commit sexual assault it is a part of his backstory. If it would I can tone it down some and/or make a new PC where it isn't even a thing ibhave an idea for another PC in mind that I didn't flesh out because I've been itchig to run a brawler.
Also I'm on my phone so sorry for Amy spelling or formatting issues

Eibon Allister |

mmm intersting I think for this campain I woukld try to play a

This racial trait replaces the multitalented racial trait.

was cast aside and worthless. It wasn’t until he was adopted by the Wizard Malvia that he
felt that his life had meaning. So he never questioned his Parent/Master when he was tasked
with the requiring of items that might seem questionable. From exotic spell components to some
minor grave robbing. It was one of these excursions to the graveyard that he encounters a lesser
ghoul that bit him in the arm giving him ghoul fever. Malvia was especially exited to learn of his
ailment and performed all sorts of experiments on him causing him so much pain and agony. When
he awoken he found himself unable to move in the middle his masters lab with Malvia disappointed
that he fought off the infection, told him that his services would no longer be needed. Turns out
that his fight with the ghoul caught the attention of the local authorities of his grave robbing
activities, and was looking for him nearby. So using his magic he removed his lab and replaced
everything with random garbage and body parts to appear that a half crazed person lived there
and quickly left the scene. Angry at his masters betrayal Rauven shouted like a mad person even
when the town watch showed up and saw the state of things. He was quickly charged of grave robbing
and cannibalism and waits his sentence. While waiting in his cell a strange hunger kept creeping up
on him. No food that he ate was filling and no drink consumed would slate his thirst. He would later
discover that although he survived his brush with ghoul fever his masters experiments left small traces
of the infliction forever in him and it was slowly consuming him. Laughing maniacally he waits to his
dying breath that someday hell get his revenge on his former master and hopes to someday feast on
his still living corpse.

Ogren |

I've updated Ogren with Profession (body guard) and craft (armor) along with a sentence explaining why he took up craft armor.
It has to do with him wanting to perfect his own body and defenses without the help of anyone else
Oh and I was wondering are we allowed to use the agile weapon property? It allows you to deal dex damage with a weapon that you have weapon finesse for. It is a 1 enhancement bonus.

The BGGM |

@Eibon: he looks great, except for the CE bit. look at the PG again, all characters must be N, LN, LE or NE. The reason for this is not arbitrary, CE characters are presumed to be both too selfish and too independent to work with a group for any length of time, and, more then typically, this party will be very interdependent for a very long while.
@Ogren: no problems with agile weapons, though it may be some time before one becomes available

Zaul, the Plague Doctor |

Fairly certain the adventure path handbook mentioned an Alchemist's lack of Formulae book and doing something about it, but I'm really interested to see how I'll be able to handle it. Likely we'll just kill a couple of guards in the prison break and I would be able to nab a bow and use it. Got the dex for it, anyway.

The BGGM |

Tank:
Namicon Anson, the human cavalier
Carnadine, the dhampir dark lord anti-paladin
Seranov-Rekran Underforge, the pahmat dwarf ranger
Damage:
Adsapiens-Krayn, the drow primal companion hunter
biglundi-V, the invulnerable rager barbarian
joshua hirtz-Solomon, the tiefling strangler brawler
Szeth the Sunless, the human zen archer monk
Wivvy-Woodes Rodgers, the human swashbuckler
Will Pratt-Ogren, the half orc mutagenic mauler brawler
Divine:
spinningdice-Jerana Weatherwatch, the halfling oracle
Dreicho Narcisse, the tengu cleric
Arcane:
topherhughes- Erum, the ifrit sorcerer
Tim Woodhams-Doctor Yanev, the human vivisectionist alchemist
Eldros Matzaki, the tiefling diviner
Duboris-Zaul, the Plague Doctor, the human alchemist
Skill:
Kyle Reyford, the human empiricist
Paimon the Fool, the half orc ninja

Zaul, the Plague Doctor |

Wivvy on the bright side, regardless of whether you take that feat or not you can still be proficient with it if you wield it in 2 hands. Doubt that's handy, though.
If you're okay with that, though, you could just grab a greatsword. If you're entirely worried just take Catch-Off-Guard if you're worried about weapon acquisition.
Hmm... Fancied myself more "Skill" than Arcane, but an Alchemist does have his roots. That aside, tomorrow's the big day, isn't she? Color me excited for the results.

Captian Woodes Rodgers |

I changed my character so he now uses a longsword instead of a bastard sword. I also added traits and updated his backstory so I can take the grave robbing trait. I'm putting all this into a profile so that I can make any further tweaks if need be.
The cutlass definitely seems pirate-y, but I'm not crazy about the 1d6 damage, and I have the same problem with that as I do the bastard sword:I don't know for sure that it will be in the prison. I figure that it is much more likely that the guards will have a longsword. But thanks for the help Zaul!
EDIT: I was also short one skill point, so I fixed that.

Ah I knew I missed something. Sure he can work as NE So i'll make the changes on his Profile

Zaul, the Plague Doctor |

Or, you know, the Manacles on your wrists, one of the bars from the cage, the loo itself, a ball and chain on your ankle, a shiv, a floor panel, a halfling, the metalwork of the bed-spread with no mattress, a mattress, an eating spoon, a guard helmet, any number of rocks, an up-turned stone from the floor, an eating plate. Pretty much anything the DM mentions turns into a deadly weapon if it's unconscious.
