I have this PC I made and never used
Female / Kineticist-Overwhelming Soul L4/ Investigator-Psychic Detective L4
That I think will work really well for this setting, just needs work to fit in better. She would be from, Thraben, and be an Investigator.


10mins backstory:

Five things about her background
1. Lady Zal-azra Qlin-zra was born into an old noble elf clan whose garden farming lands are expansive. A younger child hers was to be a life of a well to do marriage to a lesser lord. Her elder brother and sister taking the Clan name rights.
2. As a child it became clear she was a gifted thinker, her mind running well ahead of her teachers and tutors. By 20 she had read every books in the high tops. One teacher she respected was a blind Drow called Misrank, old and well traveled. He told her off far off lands and cultures. He also showed her how to craft a mind Palace in which to hold facts and information. To this day she used this skill to remember things.
3. Alchemy was the one craft she felt most at home with when dealing with the magical arts. She has her own ideas on this. To her it gives her the power to change herself with powers needed for her work.
4. When she was of age to be married, by clan law she could set a challenge for any suitor. She did and it was just to beat her at Elf chess. To this date non have, so she is under Clan law unwed.
5. She will always see to thing her way to victory, out smarting and thinking others. Often with a joke. She has no faith in gods seeing them as just more powerful beings just like her.

Two Goals
1. To learn as much as she can, she loves knowledge and problems.
2. Become immortal.

Two Secrets [One known/one unknown]
1. She once uncovered a plot to kill her Brother, the now head of the clan. She switched whine with the poisoned to the plotters and her brother drank it. It was they that died, she then spent 3 mouths killing off one by one the ones that did not die then. Her brother knows nothing of this, but her sister dose.
2. It was her sister at the heart of the plot, but she dropped it and dropped the others in it, once she found Zal telling her of it.

Three People [2 friends 1 enemy]
1. Lord Kilvon Lankily, A human noble she likes who she did some investigating for.
2. Black Heart Reena, I female elf gang boss, who hired Zal once. They like each other and have sent some time in each others company.
3. The Orc smuggler "Offolrog", Zal uncovered his undergraund smuggling root and passed the information on. Offolrog has said he will kill Zal should he ever get his big green hands on her.

Three Memories
1. Looking over a murder scene, winter time and the Inn was locked form the inside. 20 dead bodies, most ripped apart, blood frozen to the walls. The wards still intact and no one left alive. A feeling of excitement working out, what had happened.

2. Standing on the deck of a ship in harbor, a large half-orc coming at her. Sword out, face of teeth and anger. She taking two steps to the left and waiting. His breath as he came close, lifting his word, her counting. He stops looking at her, as if to ask Why are you counting then she gets to zero and the small chemical charge going off. The puff of acid and her pointing at the half-orcs feet. Him looking down nonplussed as the deck gave way and he fell into a hold full of fish.

3. A night on the town with Black Heart Reena, getting drunk and into a bar fight. Hiring a bard and singing rude songs all night.

Have this idea for a Elf Investigator, so here she is, working on background and other small things.


Zal Image here was sitting at a table sipping a tea made from medical herbs. A tall thin female Drow, who looked as much male as female in an odd way. Was feeling sick again, she had been out in the sun to long with her last job. Lost farm boy who was in the next village trying to join a party hunting undead for fame and fortune. Seems his father did not see that as a good move, not with harvest coming. So she has brought him back tied up like a pig and out cold. A few coin for a few days work. Pathetic, she had once been paid 1000s just to find a lovers name down below. But here she was in a one cart town trying to do her best. She took note of everyone's comings and goings. As in Investigator how could she not. The Pixie on the table she was sat at was having fun. The odd woman sitting and talking, the brave fighters and odd races. She must have looked a little pathtic to them. Hunched up and coughing in her hot tea. The bar maid came over with more hot tea. Zal thanked her paid a copper and sipped it. They knew her here, with all the races she had seen here hers was just another face. Yes now and then someone said something but Drow had that reputation for some. She just got on with things and did her job when some one would pay. Three days in the sun light and she was ill again, She was a cynic it all meant so little to her. She had little time for gods and power games. The Drow court was a long way away and she was ill so she had other things on her mind. Hot tea was really all that counted right now.

She writes the last letter to her second sister, yes she despises them with a vengeance, but this go's beyond such hates. This suicide mission is an open attempted to get her out of the way. Which can only mean one of two things, A move on the temple and she had all ready sent letters there, or a move on the house. If the latter to was then down to her sisters to fight or die keeping it alive. She finished the complicated cipher and magically locked the letter, then handed it to a house slave for delivery.

They would know of course, what her orders had been, their own own spy networks telling them, and of course they themselves could be behind this, but what more could be done, the wheels had started to move and it was up to her to make this work. She sat back and said to herself the old Drow liturgy.

"I am your enemy, There is no teacher but the enemy. No one but the enemy will tell you what the enemy is going to do. No one but the enemy will ever teach you how to destroy and conquer. Only the enemy shows you where you are weak. Only the enemy tells you where they are strong. The only rules are what you can do to the enemy and what you can stop the enemy from doing to you. She leads the group to her war tent, pinched in the ruins of an old house miner, Her house slaves waiting. This is the only safe place she truly has that's safe, not the fabric wall but because of its ever shifting location.

"We have our orders, War in the land of Light and war on the most despised elves there, So we must make ready for endeavor. She shall gain victorys, wealth and riches. Meany would Arm fully and rush off to charge the 1st topside'er they came across, killing until killed. This is the way of bravery, heroism, songs to be song for all time about such deeds. It is also the way to a fast unily pointless death and it is NOT the Drow way. No rash acts for us my little band of dark dwellers, I hand picked each and every one of you, because this is the very last thing any of you would do. No mad rampages or fruitless battles for us, Sly and stealthy shall be our campaign in the lands of light, not foolish and rash. We will scout, we will see and plot, We will where conflict if brewing and forment it, we will seek others like ourselves with dark intent and befriend them. So that Child of light fights child of light. I have plans with in plans and this is just the start. So look you all to yourself's, ready for a long stay in the land of sunlight and know this will make you powerful and rich or dead in the trying."

She looks around to see if her words have sunk in.

"You two, we will need supply's and some thing to help our Drow eyes with the accused light, Luaediin you have my handy haversack, if any others have such think, we will fill them with supply's and examples of trad goods, Belgraen other things we may need, here is 200 gold Luaediin spend it well. If you can find any one who has been above and knows what we can encounter find them and talk to them, get us what we need to fool any one we may meet into thinking we are just a trade group."

She gives the group one last look.

Just a note, Zalazra as a leader will not be Micromanaging any time soon, as a Drow noble she expects you to be self reliant and get on with things on your own. Do what you think is best even if it means no doing what she says. In other words Im not going to power game the fun away by being some kind of power mad boss.

Zalazra bows as the words of command come down to her, It is just what she suspected, a pointless task to get her out of the way and if possible dead, She looks at the eight. The Drow mother matriarch Zalazra Qlinzra Sits in her war tent, looking at a pile of papers, she slammed down her fist on to them, the house slave in front of her looked up shocked it had stopped cleaning her shield. She waves a hand to show she not showing displeasure with it.

Way was it was always the same, she had been waiting for days, soon they will send for her and another impossible, near suicide mission would be dropped in her lap, O she know who was behind this and one day they would pay, but for now it was her task to do the impossible yet again.

The list of reports where of members of the army and others who she could call on to make up her next team. The last one being so decimated to two who had lived where of no use any more. She picked up a sheet, Some in this pile of names, she had work with before. Brutal, cruel and professional, she may have to call them in if this one was a bad one.

She placed the paper back on the pile and got up, looked around her tent, its opulence meant nothing to her. Objects like Drow where tools to be used, nothing more nothing less, the house must prevail. Even if some with in its higher ranks felt that using her in this way would help that. Fools if she did not do some thing soon they would bring it all crashing down, shot sighted fools. But she had not survived this long with out knowing how the game was played, she had seen other come and go but she was till here. Now what she needed to do was forge this next team into some thing she could trust, some thing she could use, yes. then who knows.

She sat back down.

1st how ever they had to survive the next impossible mission what ever that may be.


The Drow mother matriarch Zalazra Qlinzra coughs a moment into a fine cloth, Then looking down with utter disdain a the Drow male before her, says
"Luaediin Or'danel, you know your full weath to me, do what you say well and our house shall prevail crushing all others, Fail and I will feed your still living hart to my Demon, wile you look on"

She coughs again and her Armor sniffs the air at the words, food is close.

I think a Master summoner is a very useful PC, for this kind of game.


Tanis, if its not being to bold, Cuan's PC could be my second salve from the temple, as long as your PCs a member of the church should be fine, with a Hobgoblin temple salve that could even give yous some modicum of freedom with in limits, I can not just order him to his death and will be bound by faith to keep him safe as property of the temple. He on the other hand could be with me to keep an eye on me for the temple, just in case the Demon Armor ever wins a ego roll, hehe. Just an Idea.


They do not have an Astrology Luaediin, no sky in the the Cold hell.
So I would say they go on geological and the grate Darkness life rhythms.
Looking down not up, saying things like "Number 12, 7 and 2 Voults was open on the day of your bearth.
The Voults are the lowest level of the forever dark.

@ Shizzle69 Sounds very cool, As long as the GM agrees I'm all for it. As a Noble I have two temple salves (MPCs none combat or skills) I can drop one and have you as a bodyguard happily, it would be the way for s Drow Female.

Zalazra Qlinzra A Drow female noble:
Born to Nobility the youngest of 3 sisters she was only given life so that she could be payment to the Temple of Abraxas. The price for a long forgotten pact.

The house she was from did well, but she was given unto a Demon and as such her life has been devotion and religion. Once long ago one of her sisters came looking for help, Zalazra told her what she told all looking, pay the price and it will come, and what a price.

Zalazra Qlinzra is a leader, its in her very nature, as a Drow noble.
Others of her rank do not so much fear her power more who she represents. Abraxas is a Demon of unknown powers and to cross him is always seen as a risky act. Zalazra has gone to extraordinary lengths to show her devotion to Zalazra who she sees as her true Farther. Donning a suit of living Demon flesh, This flesh grows into its host over time becoming one with it and forming a gestalt Demon. In other words she has chosen to become in time a Demon.

So when you see her, there is some thing wrong with Zalazra, Standing some 6'4" tall its hard to miss her shape but her flesh seems some what altered. Drow Nobles are known to have odd tastes in clothing but this is all together more disturbing, What at 1st glance whats looks to be some kind of ornate armor is in fact some kind of life form, Parts seem to blend into Zalazra's head, body and limes, they move and twitch. Parts sniff the air, and eyes look out. Some times this odd living second skin talks and she talks back in a fowl Demonic language.

How ever Zalazra acts campus mentus and normal in all other ways. Sharp mind, condescending voice to slaves, males and lesser Nobles, and always with that Drow noble air of Complete and utter ruthlessness.

A Cleric of Abraxas she seems, tactful and Evil in all ways. She Prizes Knowledge above all things, she is often heard to say, "Knowledge is Power, the more you know the more you rule" wile her Armor says darker things.

Its really down to the fact the Female Drow that have the skill, will and ability to rule tend to this is a culture where sister kills sister. Males tend to be fodder for the fights, more than rulers. They just dont have the down right evil streak Drow lady's do.

Nope Ill will keep it, she is coursed and may only get 1HP per level, lets face it shes a Drow Noble and gets a lot anyway, I know the muchkins will be saying "NOOO" but I like to rule play what luck give me GM and it makes a really nice Hook to the PC.

I have an Idea of her now and why she sisters thing shes, mad, dangerous or more evil than most, I mean who would sell there health to a Demon just to destroy a rival you have got to be seriously hateful. I like the idea she has a reputation. So will take the HP it, any how she will have male slaves to do her bidding. Maniacal laugh! Maniacal laugh! Maniacal laugh!

The greenbelt they say is vast and wide, all manner of plant an animal thrive with in its shady. They came from the south, they brothers of the green, back to the lands once theirs, the came with the elf druids who would once more talk stewardship of the land and its green. Azran was one of the Novices, tasked with learning the green way and protecting the holy trees and high places. But his body was weak, the others know this but said little, there was no shame in being what one was meant to be, only that in a past life he may have been some thing bad and this was his punishment. There Monastery walls where the trees, its roof the stars at night, its training ground the open spaces and flood meadows. There Monastery was a Monastery of the mind, to be held there and moved when they loved, they had nothing but what nature supplied. Then one day a Gnome traveler come he stayed a few days with them and talked of the new towns about and of the other races and there doings. They sat around and listened, there Abbot thanked the gnome and when he was gone told the Brothers that it was time to move once more, others where geting to close and there lives of solitude and contemplation with nature most be kept safe. He would send one out to find a new place for them to move to. the next day the Abbot came to Azran "please young brother I need you to do a thing for me, I have sent others out to find a new area for us to live, but before we moved i need to restive some thing and you skills of the mind my be of use at last for the body has to power over where they are hid" Azran felt pride this was the 1st time he and he alone was of use to the brothers. "once long ago when older elfs lived here they placed with in a cave a artifact, it is of grate power to teach the ways of the green. As the world changed so they life but that cave is still here, not to far from this spot, but young Azran we can not leave it here, it must be handed to the Druids for safe keeping."
Azran nodded "then I shall go get it"
"if only life was that simple Azran, you see no mortal hand can touch the green orb and not be changed, it has a power from the 1st world, and know one knows until they hold it what that change will be, the others are strong in body Azran, but you are strong in mind, this is why I have chosen you for this task, soon we will be ready to move, you must go this day to the cave and bring back the Orb."

Azran wasted no time, heading out he was soon at the cave, with out fear he entered, but inside the cave was Empty, fear then, he had failed others had come and taken it. Just at the moment he was to head back with the bad news a voice came to him

"you have come elf child for the Orb of green, I would enter your mind and know what you know, will you grant me this"
For a moment Azran did not know what to do, was this a test a trap? then he thought of the shame of going back empty handed, the one time he was of use fear would hold him back, no he would not have that.
His voice filled the cave "I agree"
"that is good little one you have past the 1st test no let us see if you can pass the second"
It came into him then, Knowing all of him, it filled his body soul and mind.
"your Abbot is right it is time to move the orb to a safer place, will you aid me in this little one, for I can not do this alone, but know if you agree you will be fore ever Linked to me, what say you?"

A weak voice whispered "yes" in response,

The the orb came into view, its was as large as tall as he, "I can not carry that its to large" he said to the inner voice. "they get bigger" it said. There was pain and fire he was being covered some thing, his limbs where longer he could see better in the cave, when it ended he was looking down at the orb.

The trip back did not take long, his new legs moved faster, his arms around the orb he meet with his Brother all looking up at him in wonderment. The Abbot only asked that he walk with them as they headed to the new lands. Days past and each night he changed back wile in his sleep trance. Then after he called the other to him. They soon reached the there destination and he placed the orb in grove picked for it.

He tried to return to his past teachings put that new part of him whispered in the night, in the end he went to the Abbot,
"I am not as I was, I find it hard to be still Abbot, the thing in me seeks to see the world after an age locked in a cave. It comes when I do not ask, it becomes me I worry I am a danger" He found the words hard to say "it is restless"
The abbot nodded "it is how I feared, the change for you was grate and can never be undone. Azran I have a new task for you, I wish you to head out into the world and see. Find what you seek and when you have and seek to understand that other self, then when you find clam come back and we talk again"

He left that night, no good byes just walked into the darkness with nothing but his mind and soul.

In Form, Azran is a small elf, with Green Tained skin and eyes, hes hair is pale blue. She carry's little.

In Action he is quiet and well spoken, he never drinks to much or eats to much, he has a smile on his face most of the time and seems light of soul and hart.

Azran is a soul tormented, inside he has a grate power but when it comes he dos not know how he will act fully. The thing has its own needs, he has been moving from place to place trying to find harmony.

Back story

The city was old, that called it Caliphas and they said you could find just about any thing there if you look hard. The Night a small bundle was left out the small Monastery to the Green way, set up they said by a reach Elvin merchant some 200 years before. Some on that night was looking to lose some thing not find it. When the Abbot of the Monastery
was presented with the bundle by the young farther who found it, he know at once why it had been left with them. And elf Child look back up at him from the rags. An elf here, he wondered, their where so few in the city. But like other foundlings left to them, this one must be looked after and raised in the way of the green. "we shall call you Azran Ell after our founder, in this time of war let us hope it brings you luck little one"
So it was the brothers gained and elf.

yeas passed and the Azran grow, he was yet a child when the old Abbot passed away, and his successor by the time the thread to hold that title come into his robes Azran was just gaining adult hood. Azran was a weak and stickily child, His birth must have been hard they said, for he was weak and small for an elf. But for what Azran ha lost in form he gained in action, Quick witted and clever he would spend hours in the small Library the Monks kept. After each day of training he would head back to the place of books and read to leaned all he could.

His life was not a happy one, the g young monks would jock about is body and its weakness, his lack of dexterity when training, the as time passed, young human Monks became old ones and the distrust of his race could be seen even here. But then he found the book, the book that showed him the way to talk to another, some thing from outside.

The day he got the Ritual right was his last say in the Monastery, what smash its way out of his monks cell horrified the other monks as it went out into the training yard and ripped apart the target, the kick wall and the Balance polls, The new Abbot came out

"what have you done? Azran what have you done?"
Then in a voice so deep it throbbed in the chest of all looking one
"I have found my Strenght Brother I have found my way"

They sat at the dinner tabla, they had talked for hours
"we just do not know what to do with you Azran, you say you have found a new way the way of the summoner of the green and you wish to lean more and one day found an order to that name?" for a Novice monk to say such things is little more that astonishing, but we can not stop you, we wish you the best of luck" and with that Azran left.

He walks alone not, a few books and some thing to eat keep him safe, that and his other A thing not of this world linked to him for ever.
When he has found what he needs he will stop and start a Monastery of his own, untill then who knows.

Benefit: Choose one of your natural weapons. While using the selected natural weapon, you can apply the effects of feats that have Improved Unarmed Strike as a prerequisite, as well as effects that augment an unarmed strike.

Special: If you are a monk, you can use the selected natural weapon with your flurry of blows class feature.

Benefit
During your action, you designate an opponent and receive a +1 dodge bonus to Armor Class against attacks from that opponent. You can select a new opponent on any action.

A condition that makes you lose your Dexterity bonus to Armor Class (if any) also makes you lose dodge bonuses. Also, dodge bonuses stack with each other, unlike most other types of bonuses.
