Hello, I've been reading the Drizzt books, and have been thouroughy enjoying them. If you haven't read them, I reccomend them. Basicly, it's about the life of a drow noble, named Drizzt. But I'm getting away from myself.
I have been reading up on the drow and other evil creature, and thought it'd be cool to play in a game with them. If no one wants to GM, I can, but would like to play.
Please comment with an interest or if you'd be intersted in GMing something in an Underdark style game.

Wouldn't mind playing one. Already got one Drow PC, but they are a favorite race of mine, and I have no issues playing another.

I've got a drow, she's... interesting to say the least. I'd be game.

We will see, their is always different backstories, but it seems to be a yes

I built a human for a campaign a while back. He's a chaotic good character with a bizarre and even unhealthy infatuation with the drow. He was partially raised by one and now he wants to live among them but not act like them. He's a foolhearty character but he means well. If there were to be a drow campaign, I'd totally bust him out again.

I may GM for you, Know this I PnP GM but PbP will be a new thing for me, I do have an idea for a very evil/Neutral Drow only game, Called "The Dark night ship of the Spider Queen" Underdark setting, Level 3 PCs any none good. Nust have one Psionic pc. That should give you and Idea who the bad bad guys are going to be.

Of you are willing to run, that is great, just go set up a recruitment thread, with all character rules.

Doesn't sound pathfinder, my knowledge or 3rd party material and other game systems is limited at the moment and I haven't the time to learn something new, so I guess I will step aside. Have fun y'all

I'd throw my hat in on a NE drow male psion(telepath). Are you using Psionics Unleashed? Pathfinder? Any particular campaign setting or just a generic one?

Well, I'm going to start a recruitment, an this is the thread, so here are rules.

You will use Drow, not Drow Noble, as your race. You can also use other deep creatures, like deep gnomes.
15 point buy.
Any class thats on the srd, and no third party junk.
We will start at level 5.
For health, roll on this thread, at first level take full, and then take roll + CON after that.
Take 5th level money.
Two traits, that tie into backround well.
I need a short backround, 2 or so paragraphs.
Recruitment will end Saturday, maybe late friday, I will comment on players as they come, I am a very active GM.

Drows get SR 7 and a bunch of spells at first level, reguardless of stats and abilities, 15 is reasonable

Check your spelling and grammar, you have a noticable amount of errors

Also, I was going to go on a homebrew campaign, where the group is currently working in the army of one of the larger houses.

comes from being dyslexic :) (no really its true I really am), as i am on a mates PC my normal spell checker softwear is not on its Wubish :), I am fine with the coment Tanis as its true its bad.

I was going 100% homebrew campaign as well, so this could be your game v mine, and we could have vote off or some thing like that, but you seem keen to GM this so I am more than happy to drop out. I would ask you alow Graynore to have his NE drow male psion(telepath) as he put that up wile I was the only GM on offer. tTo take that away may seem harsh, But thats your call GM.

I may even make a PC and have a play.

Who is the GM and whose rules are being used?

It seems that Tanis would really like to be the GM, and as we do not have I think the number of players for two games I feel why not let him have the rains for absolute power for this one. he/she seems to have game ready for the Darklands and drow etc.

As for rules I have removed mine, Tanis did come back very past on my rules post so I feel he/shes lurking and I hope will post a new set to rules and PC outline biuld info asap.

Tanis can I drop SR if I play a drow. I really don't like it. I won't even ask for anything in return.

It takes a standard action to drop SR, and any beneficial spells could be blocked by it. <--Why I don't like it as a player.

I am willing to write into my background story saying how I lost it, if I have too.

Would it be ok if I go for the Female cleric Drow Noble, 4th level, you have to have at lease one Noble (no matter how lowly) in the mix or the party will be pushed around

I like the Idea of a sickly noble, that's why she may be low level in the army. Her sisters would use that kind of thing to keep her down and would mean she has a lot of hate built up.

Yes a cleric of Nocticula, shes impossibly fine and fragile for a Drow
(hp15 with taking +1 Hp per level)

I like the idea she was not always Sickly, shes a cleric of Abraxas
Demon Lord of Forbidden Lore. In her past she used to Lord of Forbidden to destroy a rival but at a horrific cost to her body. its why she has only 1HP per level, I may even keep that. So she has had to fine other ways to keep alive, darker magics and even more Forbidden Lore. hehe

Nope Ill will keep it, she is coursed and may only get 1HP per level, lets face it shes a Drow Noble and gets a lot anyway, I know the muchkins will be saying "NOOO" but I like to rule play what luck give me GM and it makes a really nice Hook to the PC.

I have an Idea of her now and why she sisters thing shes, mad, dangerous or more evil than most, I mean who would sell there health to a Demon just to destroy a rival you have got to be seriously hateful. I like the idea she has a reputation. So will take the HP it, any how she will have male slaves to do her bidding. Maniacal laugh! Maniacal laugh! Maniacal laugh!

Is that 5000 total or 5000 extra? If it is 5000 is this going to be a low magic campaign. I ask because default WBL for level 5 is 10,500. I am not complaining. I just want to have a clear idea of how the game will be since it will influence my build when I finally decide what I want to play.

I am interested in this campaign, but I have some questions:
Why are nobles automatically female? (aren't there noble males in noble families?)
Why must females automatically be clerics? (if I remember correctly female non-clerics were also around, plus aren't there other divine classes too now other than Cleric?)

A very high percentage of nobles are females, and based off of the Drizzt novels the female drow were almost always more powerful than male drow. I am assuming the GM wants to represent that.

As for why they must be clerics, I think it is because devotion to Loth inspired more clerics than any other class, but this 2nd sentence is very much speculation.

PS:I think the GM's trying to stick to the books is a large part of it.

Ya buddy... I'll keep checking back in daily to see whats up with everyone... And continue to flesh him out... This is going to be a fun game.

Its really down to the fact the Female Drow that have the skill, will and ability to rule tend to this is a culture where sister kills sister. Males tend to be fodder for the fights, more than rulers. They just dont have the down right evil streak Drow lady's do.

That would be 5000 extra to the 10500, making a 15500, the drow have an exspansive set of magical everythings, sorry for that mistake. Drow females are a lot more powerdul than males and are almost always nobles. If they weren't nobles, they were dead. And in the Drizzt books, yes, all females were clerics. Something I forgot to mention is that the Drow are very religous, worshipping demons and such.

Looks good, finish the Crunch and you should be done. Just a side note, not saying you have to change anything, but, the Drow don't usually care about their parents, they usually hate then with a burning passion. It would make more sense if he was placed in a new house, and he hated the new people that owned him.
