Zadarra loves the idea of adventuring with his brother halflings!

need to adjust him a bit, i've thrown the cocnept around for diffewrent campaign ideas. Will work on backstory and such. Basically halfling bard who is loves to entertain and prank, and who says pranks can't be deadly!

Very interested, just need to go through the process of makign an official PFS character. I see you have a Ranger and an Oracle, I'd be interested in running a 1.2 orc barbarian. WIll repost shortly once hes created

interested with this character, just need t adjust him for Rise of the runelords.

4d6 ⇒ (4, 5, 2, 2) = 13 =11
4d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 3, 3) = 13 =12
4d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 4, 5) = 12 =11
4d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 6, 4) = 20 =16
4d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 2, 6) = 15 =14
4d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 1, 5) = 15 =14

ok, so i'm thinking half-fiend drow fighter. will make a charater & profile soon.

1d4 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

4d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 4, 1) = 14 drop 1 for 13
4d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 3, 6) = 17 drop 2 for 15
4d6 ⇒ (5, 1, 3, 6) = 15 drop 1 for 14
4d6 ⇒ (1, 4, 4, 6) = 15 drop 1 for 14
4d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 1, 2) = 6 drop completely
4d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 1, 5) = 8 drop 1 for 7
4d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 6, 1) = 17 drop 1 for 16

need to refesh myself on the bloodwar, it has been awhile. succubus seems fun, as does drow. Looking over other ideas and will post a concept later

Posting Zadarra as an alternate character concept. He's a halfling looking for a home. Bard Archer who is looking to be a pathfidner and also work to change thigns in westcrown.

still need to spend gold, sorry i put off items. I will do that shortly

Some more information on Zadarra's background.

Zadarra's life as a bard:

Zadarra can be found frequenting just about any tavern in town, though he has his favorite haunt. As long as the drinks and coins are flowing, Zadarra can be found singing for the masses. Late to bed and late to rise, when not performing, Zadarra spends much time in the markets, enjoying the city life. His favorite time though, is when his fellow halflings flood the town. He has many old friends and a large family, at leats a few of which are usually among the the migrants. However, Zadarra, like many before him, is easily afflicted with wanderlust and the call of adventure can only be held off for so long. After all, what better way to learn new songs and stories!

personality:

Zadarra is a happy rascal of a halfling. He prefers comic songs and stories, occasionally mixing in epic tales of bravery. When perfeorming his goal is to liven up the crowd, fill his coing purse, and perhaps catch the eye of a cute lass. Though good natured, Zadarra has no thoughts of srttling down and many adventures have begun with him escaping an angry father, or husband! Even in the face of danger, Zadarra is likely to crack a joke, right before sending an arrow into a an orc's face.

loimprevisto:

Good point, his Str should actually be a 13 the way i was doing things. Sometimes the point buy math messes with me. Any feedback on the concept so far is always appreciated.

Not done by any means, but here he is. He's an Archer bard, basically snipping with his shortbow from distance and using his magic and his voice to good effect when needed.

Zadarra the Amazing is a bard of small stature and large reputation (locally anyway) He first came to town with the seasonal migration, his stay coincided with the great vermin plague. Zadarra joined up with some other locals and together they found the source of the vermin plague and stopped it once and for all. Zadarra then traveled with his fellow heroes who ahd formed an adventuring groupo, The Spears of The Way. Together they fought bandits, elementals, fey, and many strange creatures, though they always returned to Brindin's Ford for rest, relaxation, and to sell treasure. After the last adventure, the group disbanded, with some going into business for themselves and others retiring. Zadarra can be found these days, in any tavern about town where the ale is flowing and the room is full.

My idea for the cleric is a dwarven battle cleric. Either CG or CN, havent decided. He's sees skill at arms, strength, and power as virtues and never backs down from a battle. Expect him to buff then enter the fray, loudly. He'll boast every kill, and will rag on a party member that needs healing in combat. That said, he will heal in combat if necessary. When out of combat he'll sing, drink, bang hammer and shield together, spin yarns about his "epic" battles, antongonize other party members, and tell bad jokes.

Make players keep track of their buffs, I've used a buff sheet on a board where palyers would show their buffs and cross off rounds, minutes, or hours as time went by.

Remember, taking 10 or 20 will do a number of all but hour/level buffs. Dispel magic used by the dm should not create any extra work, players just adjust their sheets. Also debuffs can work in much the same way. It's a favorite trick of mine for the bad guy caster to ready an action to dispel, debuff, or incapacitate the uber buffed fighter type when he's 10 feet away, leaving him in a good spot for flunkies to surround him and making it hard for the party to rescue hin.

Bosses should be played intelligently, meaning a aprty outside the door casting spells will be noticed, either ruin their day will a preempted attack, or equally buff the boss. Having uber buffed parties all the time is metagaming. When in a dungeon, PC's should not feel like they cna just chill out in an area once it's cleared. Wandering patrols/monsters should keep them on their toes, and an alerited dungeon, probably from sounds of battle, mean 2-3 rounds off buffing max before your group is attacked.

#2, needs some work still, but its coming together

The Questions

1. Who are you and where are you from?

Zadarra the Amazing, stalwart companion of the late professor, defender of The Code, Knight Protector of the weak. And this is my companion and trusty steed, graymane. We have traveled far, from the small town of sandpoint.

2. How were you acquainted with Professor Lorrimor?

Ah, an excellent tale! It all started with an afternoon fishing, interupted by a fell beast chasing the professor, and myself and graymane valiantly driving the beast off!

3. How would you describe your personality?
Me? Stalwart, honorable, chivalrous, joyful and a sucker for animals!

4. Do you buy into the superstitious paradigms of the denizens of Ustalav?
I heard this one tale about kissing a frog...and another about black cats, they sound liek a lot of fun but I'm sure they are just stories meant to keep kids in line.

It is rumored that there are many in Ustalav who practice necromancy, ranging from minor experiments to occult ceremonies. How do you feel about such practices? Could you ever work along side such individuals?

Oooh Necromancy, i've never had the chance to fight a necromancer before, wouldn't that be fun! I hear its a fould practice and would never align myself with those types.

Male halfling Bard

dot, will reply in a bit

As Vishoon and Jasper discuse Varisians, Zadarra finds himself scannign the room. As he gets up he's about to make his way over the the dwarf, still interested if he can elarn to make chairs legs crumble, when he catches sight of Rufus. It's really a wonder he hadn't before, but the sight of a lovely wench often causes one to mist the most obvious things, and a big gold and red wolf-like crature with plumes is defiently obvious in any crowd.

Changing course quickly, Zadarra makes his way towards rufus. Seeing the eidolon display his fur, Zadarra is left speachless, at least for the time it takes him to hop up onto a chair at their nearby. "My what an exquisite coat he has, I've never seen such a creature before, where did he come from! But i've forgotten my manners, Zadarra the Amazing, at your service." he extends his hand to Timor

Zadarra had just finished sipping his drink and the approach of the dwarf in the pink shirt had caused him to forget to set the mug down. In fact he was so caught up in the dwarfs metaphor that when the chair gave out and he hit the ground, the mug decended a moment later. Shaking off the cobwebs and wipinghis face he accepts Holbreecht's aid in standing. "Hard feelings? of course not! That was wonderful trick! Perhaps I shall see you again, at the wedding maybe? Please, don't let me keep you."

As the dwarf heads back to his companion, Zadarra uses a simple spell to clean himself back up.

Hmm.. we are even, which means I need to coem up with somethign quick to get back ahead, maybe at the wedding tomorrow!

"Oooo is greenone gonna tell a story? I bet it's scary and full of danger, and green women"

I find roleplaying characters before hand helps to flush out what we, as players, want our character to be. Sometimes I add things I forgot, like perfomr skill, or change a bloodline or spell selection. Background can be adjsuted as it goes to really make sur eti makes sense and I love GM feedback if soemthing seems off.

clutching his chest in mock pain "Ah, you wound me deeply my dear. But alas if such a lovely one such as yourself requests even more amazingness then you shall have it. May I at least know your name?"

"Why thank you green one, you may call me Zadarra. I think i'm done performing for the evening, but you bring up a good point, I wonder if the bride and groom would enjoy my act?"

As the exotic young lady in silk approaches, Zadarra bows "Thank you my dear, a little magic goes a long way. I must say your performance was unlike anything I've seen before, a shame it was wasted on this crowd. Zadarra at your service" He offers his hand to Areanna in greeting.

"Now, why dont we all find a seat somewhere, get some drinks, and you can tell me your tales. Hey, Have you heard to story about Gregor Beestinger and the lost city??? He's my great great granddad, ran into some snake people, almost died. That dwarf over there doesn't look happy, I hope he's not too upset about the pink shirt"

Sorry all, just relaized how logn that post was.

I completely forgot the UM bloodlines, thanks for the reminder and suggestions. I will look through and make and see whats there.

"The hazzards of running such an establishment, i will gladly tell you my tale when your not so pressed."

Catching on to Ameiko's sly look, her muses...
Well I could go ask her, but that's just plain boring. I need to do something to draw some attention, geet her interest building, anticipation and all that, perhaps some magic......

Seeing the need for entertainment (pure rationalization) Zadarra makes his way to the stage. He whispers something to the band members, and they start playing fairly low, building tempo and volume until the attention of the patrons is on the stage. While out of sight, he uses prestidigitation to make sure his tunic is clean and colors it a deep purple while changing the color of his cloak to bright silver.

perform comedy:

1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21 When possible he'll use prestidigitation to color the holbrecht's shirt bright pink, cause food to move off a fork, lift Areanna's skirt, dress, or silk sashes? just high enough....

Suddenly the music stops and a dashing halfling steps to the fornt of the stage.

"On my way here this evening I meet the most interesting pair, a dwarf and an elf. They invited me to share a drink with them and I graciously accepted, so the elf walks into the bar......the dwarf was too busy laughing to keep walking."

Pausing a moment for applause, he then continues as the band plays light music along with the act.

"Thank you all for coming here to see me, and if your not busy tomorrow, theres a wedding we could crash! "

"But seroisly folks, this is thirsty work, Excuse me miss.." Zadarra points to the halfing server that cought his attention earlier.
"A drink please, your finest ale or wine"

He will continue tellign a mixture of jokes, including some less classy ones to pander to a taverns general atmosphere. At the end of the act..."Thank you, thank you, I'll be here all week...Zadarra the Amazing at your service"

Wooing:

1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20 to woo the pretty halfling server

Once he's finished, he makes his way off the stage and greets the his dream wench. "Thank you for the drink, I hope you enjoyed the show" He flourishes his hand and conjures a short stemmed flower that he places in her hair. " A gift, beautiful things belong together"

edit: decided to stick with serpent blooded. else i'll spend way too long changing things.

was thinking (bad thing} and i'd like to make him fey bloodline. still has same feel as far as charming goes, but more light hearted and less evil feeling.

Eventually one of the two guards from earlier spotted him and Zadarra didn't like the look on the guards face. It was a mixture of a pissed of beardless dwarf and a mercenary who knows he's about to get to kill something after waiting way too long. Not wanting to spoil the festival mood, Zadarra quickly slips through a doorway and is lost in a crowd of servants.

Needing something to keep him busy uintil the wedding, he begins scouting taverns. The rusty dragon is the third tavern he's visited tonight, being drawn in by Ameiko's performance. Making his way through the crowded room, dodging waitstaff and patron, Zadarra eventually emerges at the bar where he quickly scales the bar stool.

Standing atop the stool, he calls over to Ameiko. "Well sung mylady, I dare say you'd give any bard worth his instrument a run for their money, and I know a great many bards. In fact, being so inspiried, I've decided to give the stage a shot myself, but alas my throat is dry from my long journey." he stops here smiling, hoping she'll produce some wine or ale. "Perhaps you'd like to hear the tale later, bandits, trolls, a runaway heir and a princess; all in all quite a story...." His attention is suddenl;y grabbed by the attractive halfling wench. Not able to tare his eyes free, he says to Ameiko "Who is that lovely woman......I simply must know her name"

It shopuld be obvious to a seasoned barkeep like Ameiko that he's a flatterer, exaggerates, and likes to talk.

I was gonna post a witch, but now that just seems mean, so......

Halfling snakeblooded sorcerer.

would need to adjust his stats and a trait as well as buy him a sling.

His family is from the Mwangi expanse, and he still has family in a few cities in that region. It's rumored that an ancestor, who was a great explorer, found one of the fabled lost cities hidden in that region, Tazion (I think that's the name of one of em). His ancestor encountered some inhabitants, decended from those who build the city and worshiped the snake god. (Can't remember names right now) held captive he wins free but not before an unusual/ancient ritual infused his ancestor with serpent blood and since that day his family have had an unusual affinity for snakes and adept at charms and enchantments. zadarra has shown the most traces of that taint.

Zadarra tried his hand at the family merchant business, but felt to restricted in that life. He wanted to see new lands, far off places, and strange people, by ship he travels away from home and when the stop to unload supplies ordered for a royal wedding, he naturally decided to see the festival for himself.

Acrobatically skipping into the ring, while whistling and casting cantrips. This character has been an idea of mine i'm still working with, but it seems very fun. Halfling snakebloodline sorceror, very happy go lucky, charming little guy, makes friends easy but can hold a grudge if angered. Loves new things and people.

He'd clearly been traveling for days, as the bright colors of his tunic and cape were muted by dust and dirt. His staff, though more of a walking stick than weapon, clicked steadily against the stone walkway leading into the festival. He had not been invited of course, but how could he turn down the chance to join the festival and see a noble's wedding! The first guard he met took one look at his dirty attire and wanted to send him packing. "But I am Zadarra the Amazing, surely they would want me here on this most special day. You see I'm the cousin of his father's youngest brother's ward, once removed of course." While this was going on a second guard arrived. As the first guard tried to explained the situation, Zadarra got board and wandered off into the festival. Finding an unused room, he quickly dusted of his tunic and changed his cape to match the festival colors. Then he ehaded off in search of some wine, women, and entertainment. Meanwhile two confused guards continue their search for the small wedding crasher.....

Dm and anyone who feels like it:

Questions for everyone:
How do you feel about the current unrest in Brevoy? Do you think the Surtovas are right in claiming the throne as more than Regents? Do you think the expedition will help or hurt the current situation? Why would you want to adventure out into the Stolen Lands? Why would the settling and founding of a new kingdom there be appealing to your character?

1.Not good, luckily I'm small and know how to disappear when thinks get really not good.

2.Nope, it's not theirs. Theya re clearly tempted by the pwoer and it is corrupting them.

3.(bare with em as I adjust to your the background) It depends weather or not the new lands are loyal to the "king".

4. Because I've never been there! New lands, new people, It's exciting. And i hear there are fey ruins. perhaps I can pick up on some of their magic, since they are good at enchanting and charms.

5. Halflings have no kingdom, making my own (our own) would provide a safe haven for those who seek a place of safety in a larger world.

Have always wante to try this character, halfling with serpent bloodline sorcerer. He's got style, he's got charm, and he's got magic!

Lamm needs to pay and I plan on being there when it happens. Having made up his mind, the halfling cautiously approaches the group with a smile "It appears the fortune teller ha sbeen busy my firends. Allow me to introduce myself, Zadarra the Amazing, at your service. That is if you our goals are the same." At the last staement his smile vanishes and with a wicked glint in his eyes he says "Let us see if we can find a quiet way into this palce before Lamm realizes that death in on his doorstep."
