Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Superscriber

Hello peoples

In the real world there just so happens to be more than one group working towards a goal... or against a goal. I want to try to make my currently campaign a bit more realistic. In this regard.

Unfortunately, as a single living adult heavily invested in gaming, I have the honor of working 12 hours a day. So I'm seeking help. I'm looking for adventures both singles and groups with basic histories.

Rules are as follows level cap is 15, lower levels are vastly preferred to higher levels. If wanted the NPCs can have potential. Potential in our world means Gestalt. If you choose Gestalt use the fractional Bab and saves.

Also it's preferred that you don't use 3pp as I don't want to look into it.

Thanks for the help.

Yeah, fair enough. It did seem a little odd.

Also is it possible to reposition swarms. I didn't think so, but there doesn't appear to be a rule against it, even with fine and diminutive creature swarms.

... Crap. Closed the page, lets try again.

I have a question about the bonus types of a weapon enchantment. Specifically the to the leveraging enchantment. While very similar to the dueling enchantment from the society field guide, dueling specifies it's a "luck bonus equal to twice its enhancement bonus on the CMB check". I'm curious if Leveraging would stack with enchantment bonus like the reposition enchantment itself.

I'm making an attempt to create a fun repositioner villain for my PCs.

I find that psychic inception is a good second choice (at level 7), unless the GM specifically says that there is going to be a lot of anti-mind affect creatures.
But your mileage may vary.

I'm assuming this means that magic hasn't been in the world since the gods died. Are other deities being reborn as well to battle the PCs. Your current explanation seems to say only the PCs would have magic and with the Mythic rules they would have powerful magic indeed.

Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Superscriber

Yeah, I had guessed that improved initiative was its sixth sense. Extraplanar feels odd, especially for people trying to go home. As all they would have to do it take a dismissal spell and there's an 80% chance they'll return to their home dimension.

Another darker use of course would be your BBEG is trying to become a lich. The original recipe did require a baby... And a dragon (wyvern actually, but close enough).

Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Superscriber

If you want to use time travel shenanigans, the child could be the BBEG. Still cliche, but it could be fun with them being a sibling to a PC.

Just use Spear Dancing Spiral

I'd loose reach without Spear Dancing Reach and even then I only have it till end of turn. And the additional feats that way.

I'll wait until I get home from work to see if this is even worth the can of worms it'll open to even go into this.

Thanks.

I want to say that using Effortless Lace in this manner goes against the groups home hand rule. AKA that controversy that this kind of goes under. I could ask though.

Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Superscriber

Ok, now that I'm signed in on a computer lets see how confused I am after some more reading.
So I was looking through the PRD about what to do and noticed that slashing grace used Longsword as an example.

PRD wrote:
Slashing Grace (Combat) Benefit: When you take this feat, choose one kind of light or one-handed slashing weapon (such as the Longsword). etc.

Now a Longsword cannot be finessed, so I'd have to take weapon finesse as a feat tax to get Slashing Grace and use then benefits of slashing grace make the Longsword a finessed weapon through Swashbuckler's Finesse? Or am I over thinking this.

And if I can do this to a Longsword then why could I not do it to a one handed Bardiche? While I have a buckler. Outside of the controversy obviously.

Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Superscriber

I guess I really didn't think the slashing grace through there. It's really not that important. My GM has already made a ruling on the one handed feat issue. Thanks though.

Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Superscriber

So I just want to be sure, but the only way to wield a polearm of your size and weapon finesse it is to have three levels of fighter phalanx, and then go at least one level of swashbuckler. Right?
And with slashing grace and a buckler I can have Dex to both attack and damage? It looks right, but I just want to be sure.

Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Superscriber

I find that I build optimized character at first and then as the campaign goes on I leave my build strategy behind and just have these really odd ball PCs that have what the group needed as we got to that point.

I was planning on skipping this book as a hard cover. Now I'll get it when it hits the shop, thanks RD.

Let's look at RAW, in pertinent part

I like how your pertinent part cuts off right before mine.

shield spikes wrote:
You can't put spikes on a buckler or a tower shield.

The clarifying statement on what types of shields that can have shield spikes are here. If a spiked shield is its own defensive item with the name shield in it, they should stack. Neither heavy nor light spiked shield is in the above shield types. Just because the spike shield isn't a part of the list doesn't mean they wouldn't work. Unless you're saying a spiked shield isn't a defensive item.

Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Superscriber

So question, if a heavy spiked shield is a complete new entity, completely separate from a normal heavy shield. Does that mean I could add shield spikes to it to increase the damage?
The should stack the same way as your discussing.

Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Superscriber

Interesting. But as you mentioned the falcata is x3. Your calculation for it is for x2.

Ah Unchained Fighter

It only took three tries. :(

It's been too long.

Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Superscriber

Currently I've been trying to deal with this situation. My players are mostly power gamers with good RP abilities who don't really enjoy underlie destroying the world with magic. And yet their fighters still lag behind others. My current attempt is to a part of the Automatic Bonus Progression from Unchained to the fighter, plus maybe tactician ability from the Archetype of the same name and I've now added in Fighter's Stamina based on Combat Stability using the fighter's level as suggested by Schadenfreude

Schadenfreude wrote:
Give them a Stamina ability at level 1, which is functionally equivalent to the feat, but gives you a stamina pool equal to your fighter level + Con instead of BAB + Con. This is to stop fighter just being a 1 level dip for everyone else. The feat is still available for those who want stamina running off their BAB instead.

I did a quick google doc on it as below.
