After playing The Haunting of Hinojai last night I'm compelled to share my thoughts on this module. This is my first review of a PFS module.
With the exception of some lack luster faction missions I think season 3 has some very strong modules. From a players perspective so far this one is my favorite.
This module has so many great qualities. I was hooked into the plot right off the bat and ACT 1 has plenty of roleplaying opportunities. The following acts were rife with suspense and horror. My table played tier 8-9. We had seven players and we were very balanced as far as our classes. The encounters were still very challenging for us. The haunts were particularly nasty and they added an element to the game that ramped up the sense of danger and kept the storyline interesting. Each haunt revealed something new about the back story of the module. I’m looking forward to seeing more work from this Author.
