Just checking... do these things count as vehicles, or monsters? It definitely changes what I do.

Will strikes a pose (performing the Riker maneuver on a piece of debris) for the civilians, trying to give them some trace of hope.

William does his best to render first aid, prioritising getting people stable enough for self-extraction from the burning wreck.

Fire extinguisher in hand (For the minimal good it will do), Will does his best to find a weak point in the fractured hull that he can use to create a temporary ingress point, so that the party can get the crew out without getting crushed by the fragments of the collapsing ship.

Will jury-rigs a block-and-tackle to remove some of the larger pieces of debris...

...and then manages to hot-wire a nearby damaged tractor-trailer to use as transport.

"It seems they are intent on deleting the entire colony from existence. We are here to stop them. Please, help those that you can, and seek shelter. I can't promise that anywhere is safe, but I swear to you that we will do our best to save those that we can."

Upon being advised that the robots are vulnerable to Fire, Will lines up a shot with one of his other weapons, attempting to pump a radioactive round into Red.

Reminds me a little too much of that VR game... what was it called? Colony Holdout? You needed to survive against wave after wave of attackers (decided at random, from forces including Swarm Components, the Azlanti Star Empire, Vesk, and the Corpse Fleet), until reinforcements arrived at the end of Day 20. Man, that brings back memories...

Will's inner monologue trails off when he sees Ongie's reaction to the literally torched-and-burned farm.

"Ongie. This doesn't mean that he is dead. Think. Where would he go if there was any trouble, and the farm was no longer safe? If he feared for his life, and those coming for him were amongst his friends and neighbors?"

Perfectly capable of recognising another Icon (even if their areas of influence do not entirely overlap), Will does his best to extend her professional courtesy, striking a pose, and beaming a mega-watt smile.

"Oh, well, I just got back from the Planet of the Giants - some fascinating (and more than a little ghoulish) wartime research was brewing there centuries ago, and it looks like things might be sliding back in the direction of battle between the races once again.

Still, I did have a chance to pilot a hydrofoil through the islands whilst being pursued by a kaiju that even giants thought was colossal, so it wasn't a total waste of time!"

A tall Android with a crew-cut and slightly greying hair, a pair of feathered wings at his back and a 3rd, cybernetic arm extending from his spine, saunters into the room, and waves, pushing down his sunglasses.

"Howdy, folks! Sorry I'm late - just finishing off a big tournament. Only made it into the top 3 for Astro Blaster VII, but that was mostly due to a self-imposed challenge - I was using a Kinetic / VR system whilst floating in zero-g."

Will has the Icon theme, making him a mega-celebrity... in the Vidgamer world, at least :-P

Definitely go with Engineering. It is a better, more consistent bonus.
