I feel your pain, my guy. It sucks too, cuz I'm new to both the Starfinder scene and the Play-by-post scene. I have absolutely no idea where to look for more campaigns like this one. ![]()

I use it to craft the visual reference for a lot of my characters because I'm not a good artist. I don't have the money or need to have minis like them though, but that could change in the future. I even have Asla made, with a link to her on her first in-character post. ![]()
![]() God, now y'all are making me miss my old artificer. Tiny lil tinker gnome made an artillery cannon he called "Mortar-mer" that shot arcane charged shells that could level an entire forest. It was only ever brought out during long military battles in between adventures, but it was useful. The fun part was the shells were basically glorified grapeshot wads MacGyver'ed together from various bits of scrap and silverware, turning the cannon into a giant blunderbuss. The final piece? He charged them with arcane power that he pulled from other minor magical items and the abilities of his party, giving it some elemental splash damage and enchanted the shells with illusion magic, making each shell look like a giant laughing gnome head tattooed with "Eat this!" all over its face. Aahh, you were fun, Cuckoo. If I ever play you again, I'll be sure to roleplay you better and crazier. ![]()
![]() Whether I go technomancer or mystic, my character was probably going to have a job or some experience as a detective/private investigator. I could see them being hired to look into some company malpractice, shady back-alley deals, or maybe even some paranormal cultist activity. I feel like an argument could be made that technomancers would also prepare spells, since they log them all in their spell cache, but I'd be fine doing spells the normal way via core rules. Also that hephaistos site is incredibly useful for noobs like me. Thank you so much! Edit: Hello from the Gateway Arch! o/ (American Midwest, CDT/CST -5/6) ![]()
![]() Watermelon Slushie, checking in! Will create/update an alias with my final character decision later. As for the pregame points: 1. Feel free to correct me on this, but I thought most classes get a lot of their defining traits by level 2 so I'm perfectly okay with starting there. 2. I'm always a huge fan of scaling cantrips. Helps keep casters in the thick of it without needing to rely on weapons necessarily. Does all Paizo sourcebooks include the various player choices (like races) certain APs provide? 3. The idea of a group coalescing together from different committees or businesses due to converging interest intrigues me greatly. 4. I'm okay with those house rules! Makes Biohackers feel like chemists and gives heavy weapons more dakka. :D |
