Ok so a bit of back story is necessary. I tend to like to play characters that are outside the box. Meanwhile the rest of my table game party really does not ... really really really does not. So for our latest campaign I decided to create a great-axe wielding halfling warrior. Hes turned out to be a heck of a tank and incredible damage dealer. I play him as a bit of psycho in the sense that he has a bit of a thing to prove. I've fallen to my near doom a few times jumping off high places onto the backs of monsters. Overall it is a very effective race class combo imho and a heck of a lot of fun to play. The AP were playing is Carrion Crown and unfortunately my poor halfling warrior has gone insane after having to make a dozen will saves in the path leading up to the bbeg. He's lost his memory. Our party decided to attempt to convince him that he is a rogue ... a far more suitable profession for a halfling according to the boys at the table. They just did this as a bit of a joke and they wanted to force me to role play it out with my burly halfling until such time as we got him cured. So I've been sneaking around and trying to backstab things and open locks and stuff (almost got us killed last session btw). All in good fun. Myself and the DM have agreed in private that those rogue like suggestions in his weak minded and delicate state may have had an enduring impression. As we are a scant few k from level 11 and most of that exp was gained as a warrior I will take the next level as a fighter but thereafter I will go rogue. My question to the community is given my current build below, how would you build the rogue levels up to level 16 ... where I think we will end the AP. I'm looking for a brutish melee type rogue that can wade through combat landing big hits using both strength and dex. Ozwaldo Hamhands

I am currently working on getting into a Dragonlance game as a gully dwarf cleric. The dm is being kind of punitive on the racial stats though as he wants a total of -10 on my stats with only giving 4 back. -2 str, -4 int, -4 cha and only +2 to dex and con. The game is starting out rough.

Still checking in regularly. I want to take out those Mites!! Marius, please let me know when episode 1 for your web series is posted. I'd like to watch it. Ours is finally available .... If you like what you see, please rate, comment, subscribe. Wallop
has anyone else experienced this? on both my android devices the font size seems to be off. on my campaign page it shows the two campaigns with different font sizes. one is really really small and the other is normal. I am using a Samsung Galaxy s3 and a Google Nexus 7. both devices are experiencing the same issue. I am using the mobile Chrome browser. I suspect the problem is more with the mobile Chrome browser because I didn't seem to have this problem with the native browser.

So you will be shooting an episode then releasing it right away? Man, we discussed, pondered, puzzled, and argued over that very point for weeks. We finally all agreed to shoot the first 6 episodes and have them edited and ready for release at regular intervals. That will give us a cushion to shoot the last 6 episodes without the time pressures. Heck, we all have full time jobs after all. Anyways, keep me posted. I'd like to follow the story.

Good morning folks. Just checking in and posting to let you know I'm still active. Also a bit of a shameless self plug too I suppose. This is a project I've been working on for over a year now and we are almost ready to release the first 6 episodes of our new web series. If you have 2 minutes to spare, please check out our trailer on Youtube. When I'm not teaching, coaching, or cooking, this is what I do Web Series Trailer

After Gerran and Aerynne depart Wallop leans over to the dwarf and says Its a sound plan if they don't have another entrance to this place. Plus, how are them bigguns going to be able to do anything in that tunnel? They might as well tie their hands behind their backs when things get bloody. Wallop casts an attentive ear back up the tunnel towards the exit listening for sounds of disturbance back at the horses. Perception Check: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12
(Halfling Barb 1/Fighter 1): AC: 18 (15) // HP: 19/22 +2 // Perc: +2 //Rage 6/6
Wallop attempts to bludgeon the remaining mite with his halfling sling staff. Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17
Edit: if thats a kill, Wallop grabs Sraps by the scruff of the neck and drags her back out of the den towards the others yelling .... Leeeeeroooy Jeeeennnkiiiins! Sorry, couldn't resist!
(Halfling Barb 1/Fighter 1): AC: 18 (15) // HP: 19/22 +2 // Perc: +2 //Rage 6/6
Wallop stops and whispers to Scraps I'm not sure I like the idea of the stinky side. That usually means death. Giggling however doesn't seem nearly as bad as death. If Sraps doesn't object we head down the side with the laughter: stealth roll: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22

You bigguns are going to have a heck of a time in there fighting. Lemme go in and try to draw some out. Or perhaps even just get some recon. I promise to not do anything too risky Wallops says with a boyish grin. If no one objects too strongly, Wallop will put away his great axe and pull out his halfling sling staff and head into the den as quietly as possible. Stealth: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22

Indeed. I think it's me. I'm cursed to never finish a Kingmaker game. I think though if I keep it up and join a few more groups that fizzle out I will have completed the first module on aggregate attempts. I do like this group though. I also like the dynamics that have evolved between us.

Welcome back stumpy! Yeah what Aerynne said. Play what you want and the rest will work itself out. That being said,if you want to play a cleric, go for it. Personally,I've found players who like their characters, trend's to play them better than those who do not. Personally,I avoid playing arcane casters.
(Halfling Barb 1/Fighter 1): AC: 18 (15) // HP: 19/22 +2 // Perc: +2 //Rage 6/6
I've added 1 level of fighter for Wallop and will continue to alternate between fighter and barbarian for a while. BAB, Fort, CMB have all gone up a tad.
HP: 1d10 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 2 + 1 = 8

I'd hate to have these critters we are searching for find us and be wary of our approach. They are obviously thieves themselves if these other bandits are to be trusted. I will however bow to your wisdom on this matter Gerran as you are more of an outdoorsman that I am. Wallop then sets about checking the bindings for the prisoners while he awaits the decision of the others.

Wallop ponders what Gerran and Marius say and then adds I believe the disguise part of this plan has merit. We may be able to get the drop on them if they think the three of us are friendly. Perhaps we could do this without entering the middle of the camp? The three of us could approach from one side while you others either hide and wait for surprise or you approach from a different side.

I read student writing ... really really really bad student writing every day. I also get the pleasure of reading English as a second language learners writing every day and that can be considerably worse some times. I'd like to think I am pretty skilled at interpreting most gibberish that comes my way. But Scraps, that post was excruciating. I think the gist of it is for Wallop to disguise himself as a mite or something similar. Ride in on Caderyrn and tell the mites he was attacked by adventurers who took his treasure. After that, the script turns into a confusing jumble of meta-game speak of things like 're-rolling' combined with in-game nicknames and so on. Wallop scratches his head after Scraps finishes ranting and says I think Scraps wants the two of us and Cadeyrn to infiltrate the mite camp with some kind of story about being attacked by adventurers. Then you guys are supposed to follow us into camp in a day or so and attack. So you guys attack from the outside while the three of us attack from within? This last part he poses as a question to Scraps looking for clarification.

Pleased at Morgrym's somewhat moderate response, Wallop chimes in with ... Sounds fair. We will discuss Kressle's fate en route. I do have one question though. What the heck is a mite? The only mites I know of are the little bugs that infested the guard dogs on the winery. I can't see THEM attacking bandits and stealing jewelry.
(Halfling Barb 1/Fighter 1): AC: 18 (15) // HP: 19/22 +2 // Perc: +2 //Rage 6/6
And again with the condescending tone Morgrymm? It's getting a little old me thinks ... and tiresome. Use your blessings from Father Torag on Scraps and I think you might have a hard time finding a soul anywhere with less taint. Wallop scratches huts chin for a moment and turns to look at Aerynne. Morgrymm makes a good point though. We're can't be baby sitting her or kiting here around on a rope either.

Stress induced emotional turbulence! I've been a teacher for over 14 years now (and a coach for more than 20) and I've seen tons of this. Go give your wife and the rest of your support network a huge hug because they deserve as much of your gratitude as you can muster at the moment. I've seen WAY too many kids come through my doorway who do not have that kind of support. Indeed, their 'support network' was the cause of much of this turbulence in the first place; kids with enormous unrealized potential. At any rate, just try to keep your head above water. Someday you will look back on these tougher times and laugh at them. Cheers!

Whoa! Rereading my last post I realized that my 9th grade English teacher is probably rolling her eyes at me! I'm glad Aerynne at least could translate that gibberish. In case the rest can't, I was just saying to Morgrym that all three of us (Marius, Scraps, and Myself) said the same thing so he needn't be mad. 8)
(Halfling Barb 1/Fighter 1): AC: 18 (15) // HP: 19/22 +2 // Perc: +2 //Rage 6/6
So we can assume that from my post that I bound them prior to this conversation beginning? Wallop rolls his eyes at the dwarf and does little to hide it. Let it go Morgrym. She didn't say anything that both myself and Marius said as well. I'm sure there was no sleight intended. What do you have in mind Gerran?
(Halfling Barb 1/Fighter 1): AC: 18 (15) // HP: 19/22 +2 // Perc: +2 //Rage 6/6
I'm assuming they are now bound and immobile? If so, Wallop does the following. If not yet, he sets about binding the bandits and then does the following ... Wallop listens to the story of the repentant bandits quietly and then leans over to the others and whispers A word with you all in private please? Once out of earshot, he quietly continues All of you know my stance on lopping off the heads of captured bandits. I believe these two might be of value to us. Perhaps, if you feel they can be trusted, we could have them pay for their crimes as indentured servants at Oleg and Svetlana's trading post. At some point this Stag Lord will seek retribution. We are perpetually afraid of an attack on the outpost right? Why don't these two pay for their crimes by working off their debt to society by acting as guards at the outpost. If they agree to it, Oleg and Svetlana will be responsible for feeding, clothing, and equipping them. In exchange, these two will spend the next several years as guards. They have martial training. They are good with a bow ... or so they say. It seems a good fit. After that time, they may be free to go or even seek gainful employment at the outpost. After a moments pause, he adds besides, I think that one of them is actually a woman. Perhaps they are brother and sister? Or even husband and wife? I'm not sure. What do you think?
