Thanks for the answers.
Human because i'm willing to play one, that's the only reason.
I see your build on Starknives, that's a DEX build right? I guess how a STR build is done/will perform.

Hello guys,
I'd appreciate some advice on building a Human Ninja, since i'm approaching the class (and the style of playing-a.k.a. stealthy stuff) for the first time.
I'm already reading down the guide, but i'm not sure if it's updated (is it?).

Thanks for your advice.

Anyway i'm not looking in something that allow me rerolls, but more that can allows others getting rerolls.

Reach could be something interesting in a build for me, but mainly for AoO, i feel that things like Trip or such maneuvers become useless in late game (flying opponents or immune ones) but maybe i'm just wrong?

Hey oh guys,
i've read most of the posts about "Tanks" in Pathfinder, understanding that tanking isn't only about HP, AC or so, but also about saving throws, enabling rerolls for your party and even buffing/healing/taking damage (life link, shield others stuff) for them (damage output is also a point to "get enemies aggro").

So, that said, i'm trying to brainstorm like a crazy since i need to create a new character starting from level one and i would create something considering this:

-HP>AC (keeping it decent), because you want the enemy to be able hitting you (#aggro, done also using roleplay anyway)

-Rerolls>Buffs, because i prioritize giving my party opportunities where the GM can't act too much on (a new dice roll for a failed save on a determined and clear DC is more "controlled by the players" than a +X AC that the GM could pass with a natural 20)

-Without sacrifice too much Social skills and CHA(both could be changed with "ways to do X with Y with other stats")

I hope for advices and tips!! Thanks fellas!!

Well being level 1 he can't surely setup much now, so his "CE" soul isn't ready to show up really well yet, unless he want to die like a Chaotic Stupid will.

This said, i managed to give him "the why you leave the town and organization": this organization is entangled in the corrupted gouvernement of the city and is in part responsable of what occurred to him in the past.

Thanks again guys!

I don't get "the drastic solutions method". I mean, that's pure railroad and a clear message of "No you can't play the Alignment you want to" despite the fact my party isn't in the same situation, as i said they are:
CN / N / LE / CE / and others 2 still deciding.

I talked with the player and i came out with those informations:
- Not a Wannabe Killer Sociopath aka Murderhobo
- His Home-town was destroyed-burned-and got people and family killed by Humans' army (event similar to what was done between the populations vs conquistadores)
- Trying to integrate into human society suffers the worst of anger and is treated as waste
- He wants to make them pay to these men who defend themselves behind the ideals of justice and ghost divinity. The PC wonders why to command is not the strongest, but sometimes it is someone who inherited the throne by birthright (or also how a little rich man can buy rights over people and lands just with money)

Now i asked him why the PC should be considered CE, here's what he told me:
The PC is born in wild nature, in a tribe where Strenght=Power and the rules to follow were Nature's one.
Got his home-town burned down by humans, been captured and sold as a slave while he was just a young boy.
He managed to escape with the help of some friends he made within the years.
Owning nothing started to live in the streets where he was considered a waste.
He started robbing and blackmailing to survive, and soon he joined a thieves guild as an Enforcer/Thug.
This was the first time his life was being acceptable since humans destroyed his home-town.
Now his PC is fundamentally driven by emotions and nature's rules, does that justify the chaotic aspect?
About Evil/Good he said the PC will do the necessary to destroy these corrupted rules and establish the ones he believe are righteous.

Now we'll have to work on why he left that town and that guild to be in the party.

First, thanks to all of you!
Second: i'm confident that the player in question is not one of those who want to screw the party or play a sociopath, that's why i asked here instead of saying No instantly.

The fact is that anyway all the PCs will play in a group under the influence of an Evil and Powerful master, so chaotic or not, willing or not, he will have to respect the authorities above his head since they're far above his level for now.

I'm gonna watch that youtube video and lets see if i figure out something more about.

Hello guys,
One of my players want to play a CE PC. The rest of the party is N/E oriented.
Now he asked me:
-How to avoid being a killer sociopath?
-Which should be his arguments to say that Laws and Good are wrong?

I could use some help since i've never played/played with/seen a CE PC.

Well, we've a summoner in the party already providing summoning and buffing.

I'll focus more on debuffing, that's sure (Baleful Polymorph hey hey hey!).
Binding is out of combat that's sure, tho seems a very nice spells combo to have in my opinion.

Ahh nice to know, demons have no sense of debt XD i'm a poor Roleplayer XD i thought was possible to get something from him.. well too late, i saved him, i can't kill it anymore i think.

I've a DIV, could he be interested in a personal slave, or he can get as many DIV as he want? (isn't a classic div, is some kind similar to a succubus).

The butler, for what we know, could be evil for real... i mean he stole "our" king's kingdom, i could say it's NE or something like that.

Mythic spell lore, sorry where can i find that?

So you're suggesting me to take Wild arcana, is that it?

@Dastis: does Caster level do something on binding spells we mentioned above?

I'm not too much oriented on taking damage spells, aka i'm not and i wouldn't be a Blaster Sorcerer.

so exactly what does that caster level +3 involve?

Uhm yeah seems a nice idea!
Poor english here i am bro! ehehe.

seems i will need to hire an army to reconquer/burn Gnomeland, won't be easy XD!

@Kileanna this could work, but i'm not truly sure the "old" King of G. would destroy what his family has built in the past xD!
If you destroy your kingdom, you've no kingdom to reign on.

Also right now we're far far away from Gnomeland, should i act like engaging someone to work to destroy the city?

@Daw comments like that help me very much... if you're frustrated try to fix that out of my life thanks.

@Kileanna here are some more in depth informations:

My evil deity, the Tentacle hiding in the dark, wants me to destroy that city mentioned above "Gnomeland", that's because he lives in my city (the city where i was born) Gnhorriland and the hate between those two is what he/she want.

As said i'm not fighting the party, i'm mostly helping them (don't wanna be that kind of player) so i'm working with them, and i need to understand how to perform my deity desire without getting caught and without damaging the party, and i think i can, just have to figure how.

The King of Gnomeland is a PC (now he's adventuring with us and his butler took the power (we don't know why, but seems he waked up the population with a kind of revolution/golpe) proclaming himself as King of Gnomeland.

As said before we're currently fighting some Big Evil Minions trying to awake a BIG BIGGER EVIL who's currently imprisonated/sleeping.

Last session i "saved" a mythic demon (the one made of bone and with a scorpion tail, i don't know the name); he was being devoured by some skeleton minion's that the King of Gnomeland control using a staff we found defeating a necromancer, so i used telekinesis and placed him on a roof (he can regenerate his HP, and the damage of the skeletons wasn't enough to kill him, but it was enough to keep him on the ground).
To be more specific, i didn't do that to get the demon fight another time with the party (i'm not so crazy XD! I'm the party aswell!) but to get some kind of favour maybe in exchange or something like that (i seem more crazier i think).

I could tell everything, but probably the post wont allow me to do so, if you have any question i'll be glad to answer!
Also if you guys want to share some actions you did in your past games or ideas, i can understand better how to perform my role.

In depth i need advice on how to "perform my evil plan without getting caught".

A druid also could be cool :)!

So, i'm now serving an evil deity as a result from my death.

Here's my character and how i'm re-building it with the help of this great community.

The campaign is homemade, the deities are the same of Golarion, and there are other deities, like mine (some kind of chtulu-thing), a Gnome god.

We're (me too, i'm serving my god, not helping those) currently fighting against a big evil creature called Nimrook, who's currently imprisonated somewhere and has some fanatic big strong mages and so trying to awake him.

I need advices on how to perform my evil-sided-actions without getting disintegrated by a paladin and a cleric serving the great big good XD!

Any advices are very welcome!

Ok i'm working on the selection talking with my GM, as a good player would do.
I'm really focused on getting planar binding (and the pack of spells needed to do so) and i will change some spells for the flavour like Booloo said (lke confusion and so on).

EDIT: ahh, Baleful Polymorph is something i surely want to keep, too fun and i use it very often, last session i got a Div polymorphed into a worm that i now carry with me (will probably use it as "animal companion" or trade it for services or so... with a dispel magic you can get it to base form so, it's nice!)

I also recently saved a demon (that skeleton similar one, i forgot the name, with a scorpion tail.. the mythic version. Yeah i'm working within and versus the party XD).
I will probably make a post for ideas on how to pray a evil deity, helping/not-helping the party while you have a paladin there xD! I need advices to not get killed badly! XD!!

About mythic path, Arcane Surge is an issue because we encounter very often and mostly mythic creatures :), so wont work i think.
But hey, Wild Arcana, that's exactly what i was looking for!!! it's a sorcerer must have i think! (thanks for this imput!!)

My GM gave me a "+3 caster level and damage maxed" on the spells i cast, as a result from my "damnation/serving an evil deity".
so i wonder, how can i use that at his best? (i'm not too confident with casters :C )

Up :D

Swashbuckler seems interesting, does it work well with small races?
About magus i've not really understood that class yet, seems like some kind of a blaster using melee weapons, nothing special.

Thanks for the answer, wow that was fast xD!
Can you link it please?

EDIT: to avoid those issues i can go tiefling or aasimar and just appear like a small race, without suffering of those negatives no?

Don't forget to put a Leader :) roman's legions can't work without a leader who command em what to do XD!
I'd put also a wardrummer or something like that, welcome to the flavour zone!

Looking for some imputs for a small race character focused on maneuvers (Reach, AoO, Bull Rush, Trip or whatever), any ideas?

Thank you guys!

About Infernal bloodline: it gives you Planar Binding at 13th for free (only devil/fiendish)

About Abyssal bloodline: it focus on things like Cleave or Sunder, no sense taking it i think

Ohh i see, so i definitely want to stay on infernal bloodline :P!
About mythic spells? Which ones are worth taking?

And what about mythic spells? Are those worth a try? Which one could i take?

Useless wrote:
Bloodline Arcana: Whenever you cast a spell of the charm subschool, increase the spell's DC by +2.

I dont see why changing infernal with another does influence my pc.. the only ones charm spells i have are those given by the bloodline and i don't even use them.

I think i would change my bloodline.

Yeah that.s sure.. but the +2Cha given by the bloodline does apply to DC or Binding?

Well i'm not too worried about ..

I did pick Tiefling for background pourposes, anyway i'm not straight tiefling, i remember i did pick a variant rule to get +2CHA for sure (the GM know that!).

Yeah by the way could you explain me better that +2CHA to my class? DCs? what else?

Thanks for all the advices! Really!

I've said something wrong about the race: i'm a tiefling in fact, appearing like a gnome tho.
So all my race trait are tiefling ones.

About calling it's fine for me to call evil creatures and no i don't want them to perform good deeds, or well, i could use those to hide my true pourposes, but hey, i was brought back to death from an evil deity to perform chaos and evil acts(lets say to play against the PC's, or more in depth, to play against one, the king of gnomes of a city i did create on my background according to his, Gnomeland).

My Str is actually 5, so i don't know if touch spells are something i want to consider, maybe also polymorph are nerfed by that, am i right?

About the deal with the creature i'm still doubtful, should i get some kind of spell to trap some cleric or so souls and give those to the evil outsider? Any ideas on how to do so or what to do to require their services? I think offering money could be quite expensive, since we don't get a lot of money and when i get it i try to spend it to increase my Dc or on RP items.

Ok nice so i will use binding i think... examples of services i can require?

Thank you all for the awesome advices!
Arcane Bloodline seems providing the most cool spells, in any case i'm considering to add the ones Boloo wrote, to keep the flavour.

About Planar Binding, i like it very much, also could provide (either the called outsider decide to help or break free) to generate chaos wherever.

Some questions tho:
1)Is binding an evil act? I mean the Paladin could decide to take my skin for doing that?

2)What kind of offers i could propose to the "binded" outsider?

Interesting advice!
Lets say i forgot to say before that we've a Paladin and a Cleric of Sarenrae, does those consist in an issue for the Diabolist class? Where i can find more about Douglas Muir job?

In any case i think i could change most of the PC if wanted, so the conjuration focus doesn't involve a limit.

The deity is some kind of Shoggot-like creature who lives in a cave, in the dark, and her will is to destroy a famous gnome city and so bring chaos among gnomes!

Infernal Bloodline (which i could tell i don't like honestly, but i picked it just to fit more the background, even if in my opinion it doesn't cuz i never used the bloodline power and i don't like the spells given by).
In any case i think i could change many things without any problems.

Feats: Spell Focus [Conjuration], Spell Focus+ [Conjuration], Spell Resistance, Spell Resistance +. Maybe i've some other but i can't remember right now.

Archetypes: None

So, finally i came back to the table to play.
GM decided to "resurrect" my character in a flavourful way: he's now serving an homemade evil deity (i did create in my background, not for this pourpose, but i always appreciate initiative!) so i would change his spells to fit more the dark side he reached.

Well, i could use some help in spells choice.

Character level: 12th (2 mythic things, i don't know the name of those)
Class: Sorcerer
Race: Gnome

Help will be appreciated!

-.Useless.-

Thanks again for answers!

I don't know honestly about bard, seems using mostly illusion and charm spells, two schools i don't like very much.
For the flavour, surely bard would be my class, so is there a way to use SoS spells on a bard?

About the fighter he isn't grappling nor tripping, i don't know honestly why he fights with a whip.

What about a necromancer-scythe gish? would be possible, or due to the small size would suck in any case?
Something like Polymorph or shapechange? Something focusing on AoO?

Thanks all for your suggestions.
Lets say i'm not worried about RP, is something i can get very easily, and i've no limits to what i could RP, especially related to the class or race.

As Megistone says my way to shut down too easily and encounter could have been for sure an imput to improve encounters, but not the only reason; as far as i can remember encounters were always very hard to face.
But yeah, lets say that even if i try to empower my DCs, they're not high enough, cuz i'm not lucky with dices and the monsters we face have usually nice stats and saving throws.

My only limitation is that i would like to play a small race, possibly a gnome, but i don't want to play an unoptimized character, so i'm taking advices on what fits better the party.

I can see some nice advices here, i've understood that to face my GM effectively i should avoid save or suck spells (which sadly i love to use, but the monsters we're facing are hard to get down).

As battlefield control, are my only choices wizard, sorcerer and bard?
I never played a bard, i come from D&D 3.5 where bards were useless, cuz underpowered.

Classic Sorcerer, some of my spells:
- scorching ray, fireball, mirror image, acqueous orb, telekinesis, baleful polymorph, summon black pudding, slow, cause fear, dimension door.

Party currently level: 12th-13th

As said skills are mostly covered by summoner, cleric and eidolon; summoner is especially good in knowledge ones.

Well about the campaign, i think this is the first time we meet an undead. This adventure is very different and propose different encounters everytime.

The PC who just died was a sorcerer, and lemme say even having 29CHA seems not enough to work.. yeah some fights ended very fast thanks to me, but just some, in any other fight i fell behind and been almost useless.

Well lemme say that usually the Eidolon damage is crazy, as the paladin's one.

The GM encounters are usually very hard (AC very high, nice numbers of attacks and criticals, which costed me already some PCs) but the party seems shut down them very easily, even if i should say, a thing which is sure is that those powerful monsters always get someone down, if not dead.

This last Big Badass Evil we faced (after defeating a Dracolich without rest) was a caster, some kind of necromancer, killed me and almost killed the fighter, and killed a powerful NPC, caster aswell.

Thanks for the advices, but Gavmania is right, i must give more infos about:

- The Cleric is an Holy Vindicator, combat role--> Heal, Buff himself, Critical Damage

- The Paladin (no archetypes) provide a nice damage and it's our main tank when the eidolon is away

- The Fighter (i don't know really much about his build) uses a whip, doesn't seems to provide incredible damage

- The Summoner uses his eidolon and buff when possible, when not summon lots of minions to use for whatever fight, tank or heal

I think skills are covered, paladin and cleric have good perception, spellcraft is covered by summoner and cleric, disable device by the fighter(i said i don't know much about him) and mainly by the eidolon.

Hello!
So my PC died last session :C sad story.

Current party:
- Cleric
- Paladin
- Fighter
- Summoner

I'm in trouble with which class should i go for :S!
Any help would be really appreciated!
