While I am thankfully outside the path of Hurricane Harvey, current projections for Hurricane Irma are sending it barreling up the coast of Florida to sweep much of the eastern coast of the United States. As I live directly on the ocean, I'm already gearing up for a potential evacuation at the moment. While hopefully all I get is a lot of rainfall, it's likely that by the time Irma hits Maryland it will still be at least a Category 3 storm, if not worse. I will have my laptop and such in the case of an evacuation, but I likely won't be able to post with any real schedule or frequency. Moreover, given that I live more or less directly on the ocean, it's more likely than not that if I'm forced to evacuate there will not be a home for me to come back to after the storm passes. The island is not built to withstand that kind of storm, and the last time something anywhere near that deadly swept through, it made an inlet where there used to be a road. My point being, if I'm hit by the hurricane it's very likely I will be off the boards for a long while, or at least my posting will be sparse and intermittent. I'm sure I'm not the only one following the storm on the news, but I'll do my best to keep everyone updated on my status. It's likely the storm, if it hits me at all, will make landfall here early next week. If you see on the news that the storm has hit Maryland and you don't hear from me, that's probably why. I just wanted to put this message up now as I'm prone to losing power during storms and I didn't want to leave anyone hanging. Thanks for understanding,

His belief has been re-affirmed somewhat by his visions of Sandpoint under siege by some dark power, but even then he isn't sure if it's because he was destined to be this hero or simply because Ragathiel or one of his servants chose to speak to him. I'm even fine with you coming up with a decision and leaving me in the dark, but either way I'd like to have the discussion at some point. I have my personal feelings on whether or not it's actually true, but I'm definitely willing to roll with you on this one. ![]()
![]() I need to finish up the character's backstory, but Uriel is (mechanically) finished except for finishing up with gear. Short version of his backstory is he was born into a cult of Ragathiel in Magnimar and was raised to believe he was the son of the Empyreal Lord. Whether that's true is anyone's guess (including his own) but his heritage and holy birthmark suggest that at the very least he's been gifted with divine favor from the time he was born. He has had divine visions on occasion since his birth and many have directed his training, but in recent months he felt grave portents of doom in his dreams. Once he heard of the Swallowtail Festival he realized Sandpoint was the city in his dreams and left Magnimar to attempt to defend the town from whatever evil was descending upon it. Whether or not he may actually be the direct child of an Empyreal Lord is something to be decided later, but I would certainly like to explore it in either case. I think Uriel harbors some doubts about it but ultimately believes it; if he's proven correct, I may reflect that by taking options that strengthen some of his divine ties and his angelic heritage. Mechanically, Uriel is built to intimidate opponents and be a counter to enemy magic-users. His inquisitor archetype makes it difficult to harm him with spells and makes him better at taking them down, and he'll get better at it when he picks up Disruptive and Spellbreaker later on. In addition, he'll be taking Pin Down/Stand Still to keep spellcasters from fleeing to cast. He'll also be taking the feat tree to get Angelic Wings, so he'll have natural flight. ![]()

It's just that it's been about two months since I signed on and I haven't come in yet. I know the dungeon is big and the post rate is slow, and it's nothing on you guys, but I'd rather find something where I can either get in on the ground floor or join in faster. If I was the only replacement character I'd probably stick around, but especially with Valgwyn here I think you'll all be alright. I hope you guys have a great game. ![]()

HP: 13/13 | AC: 18, T: 12, FF: 16 | CMD: 17 | F: +4, R: +2, W: +4 | Init: +2, Perception: +6 | Spell Slots: ![]() Hey all, this upcoming week is my final week of classes for my senior year of college, so posting may be a little sparse (or non-existant, really) until Saturday or so. I will do my best to keep posting and I will at the very least be reading what happens, so I'll be caught up, but I may not be too active. If I find free time (unlikely) I will post in when I can. Otherwise, expect to not see me unless I'm lucky. This may not matter if I'm not introduced in the next week or so anyway, but I wanted to make sure everyone knew in case I was. If that happens, I'll post as soon as possible.
