About Twillika Saiville

Growing up in a small Wayang village on an island, young Twillika never really fit in with the rest of her tribe. While her fellow wayangs always bemoaned their lot in life for having to live on the material plane and not in their 'native' shadow plane, young Twillika saw no reason for such an outlook on life. Taken in by stories of brave knights and wondrous tales of paladins, the young wayang invited bard after bard to the insular village to hear such tales. Eventually, such escapades earned her ire with the xenophobic members of her tribe, and she was 'gently' asked to leave.

And so Twillika journeyed to the heart of all the stories of brave knights, Lastwall, where she hoped to become a fine paladin like in those in the bards' tales. Unfortunately, though Lastwall is famous for accepting almost any creature into their ranks, they couldn't bring themselves to allow a creepy shadow-creature into their midst. And so Twillika was relegated to working at the stables, but she made sure to attend all the jousting events and took any opportunity to see the paladins of Lastwall in action.

Year after year she was denied entry to the paladin's training hall, and she became more and more disillusioned with the Iomedean faith, eventually switching entirely to Grundinnar. Luckily, she met a friend in the stables who was kind to her, and eventually 'adopted' her into the family by giving her a child's training lance that had been passed down his family for generations. Twillika trained with it daily, attempting to emulate the moves she saw at the grand tourneys, and eventually discovered a rudimentary combat style using it.

After being rejected again one year, Twillika decided to prove to the knights of Vigil that she was paladin material by summoning her own majestic steed, a 'paladin mount' and riding it up to the front gates. She saved up what money she had working at the stables and bought a few books on the subject. Though Twillika was not terribly smart, she eventually managed to peace together what to do, and summoned, her partner, a many-colored winged unicorn named Rainbow Legacy.

However, the paladins laughed at her, telling her that Rainbow Legacy was not a “Paladin Mount” but something called an Eidolon. Rainbow didn't see the difference, but she had finally had enough with the paladins jeering at her, and left. She found the pathfinder lodge in Vigil and began working for them part-time while preparing to make the journey to Absolom. However, as it happens, during this time there was a major offensive from the whispering tyrant's orcs. With all hands needed to repel attack, Twillika and Rainbow charged into battle. So good was their teamwork and battle prowess that they were given a field commission to pathfinder agents after the battle was over, and accepted as a full pathfinders on that day.
