Male Human Alchemist

Here's where we can discuss the campaign and the 5E rules set.

Grand Lodge

Male Human Alchemist

The sheriff of Oakhurst is the latest victim of the odd and deplorable lizard-creatures who've been stealing from residents all over the Island of the Artifacts.

Nobody knows where or how the vermin got there, but they are becoming a growing threat.

Knowing that the four of you fought in the Mindspin Struggle (the brief but horrible border war with Nidal), the sheriff has come to ask that you find his golden ring, which is a family heirloom.

He offers 300 GP to your party for its safe return to him.
Unfortunately, he does not know exactly where the lizard-creatures live, but he believes that they have taken up residence in an abandoned alchemist's haunt along the Old Road that leads to the forbidden Sunless Citadel.

Hey Lisa,

I was one of the Kickstarter backers, and I didn't hear anything about access to the game back in January. I don't remember the level of donation, but I did receive the T-shirt and autographed module. Perhaps my level of donation didn't qualify me. In any event, I thought I would mention this in the forum since there may be others who donated and did not realize it was already underway.

Thanks much,
Keith Parker

I'm looking for published outdoor adventures that are:
1) Compatible with the BB rules
2) Located near Sandpoint
3) (Optional) Provide background and history for the Sandpoint/Varisian Gulf area.

I could probably find a lot of item 3 in Rise of the Runelords.

I'm GMing my 13-yr-old son, and he's not crazy about the Black Fang dungeon, and says he'd prefer outdoor adventures.

I'm not sure I have time to develop one.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Keith

Have any of you tried to PFR BB with friends using a simple forum or private Facebook page?
We have, but the problem is combat ...
Our schedules just don't sync up for chats or Skype, so we can't do real-time combat ... we're a bunch of grumpy old 40-somethings trying to regain our youth :)
So, how on earth can you do melee??

Hiya,

I'm an old school D&D guy who has become extremely intrigued by Pathfinder.

I was a DM for OD&D and 1E back in the day, and I've been a D&D collector for years now. So, I've got plenty of history and experience with RPGs in general.
Recently, in an effort to find the "perfect" old school clone, I stumbled across Paizo's website.

And although 3.5 D&D never piqued my interest, Pathfinder definitely has.

The quality of the Core Rules and the Bestiary (I own both) and the Adventure Path modules is incredibly impressive. And the fact that Pathfinder has shelf space at bookstores is huge for me.

So, I was hoping for advice on how to set up a small dungeon crawl (heavy on traps, riddles and mind games) plus some unique monsters (i.e., not orcs, giants or ghouls).

I'd also be interested to know whether there are any good play-by-forum sites for old fools like me who'd like to at least try to "upgrade" their gaming to 3.5, or 3.75, as it were.

Thanks for your help.
