Half-Elf or Half-Orc: Can a character of either of these races select human racial favored class options?

Yes. Half-elves and half-orcs may select racial favored class options, archetypes, traits, and so on, as if they were a full member of both races (a half-elf can select elf and human rules elements, a half-orc can select human and orc rules elements).

Edit 9/26/13: This is a reversal of an earlier ruling. This resolves a discrepancy between this FAQ, another APG FAQ, and a Core Rulebook FAQ.

I am assuming a Half-Elf would not be allowed to take Dual Talent because they don't have the bonus feat to give up? I have been looking on the forums for a specific yes or no answer and either i cant word the question correctly or its just too simple of a question.

@Delos:

That is not a Race Trait, from the list of Traits. It doesn't work with Adopted. It's a racial trait, which, as has been pointed out in this thread, is *not* the same thing.

My question regarding this is half elf and half orc, could they take this racial trait even tho they dont have the free human feat to give up?

Does this feat effect the off hand like it would if it were str based? Do you get the full dex befit on the off hand or just .5 dex bonus?

Offhand penalties only affect damage rolls, not attack rolls. Since weapon finesse only affects attack rolls, then there is no interaction.

Unless you are talking about the agile weapon property. That has a line at the very end saying

Agile Weapon Property wrote:
This modifier to damage is not increased for two-handed weapons, but is still reduced for off-hand weapons.
So offhand attacks still get the ability score bonus halved. Not that it is too important anyway. Other static bonuses are the ones you should typically focus on with TWF, and the ability score bonus to damage is usually only a small part. And, if you added up the bonuses from mainhand and offhand, it still comes out to the same 1.5x that 2 handing gets (although this has to face way more DR problems).

yes thats what i was looking at, and the way the mythic version would behave...

Hello, I have a question about the braid and flurry with glaive. My monk can flurry with a glaive and due to this already gets his +1.5str bonus to damage. Does the braid bonus stack or just cancel out and id still only get 1.5 str bonus to my attack. Im thinking it would not stack, but i would like to hear what other people think.

Thanks

I use hero builder to create chars for home games, and recently started playing in PFS. My GF created a druid so we sat down the other day to create her druid. I noticed when doing her animal companion, Hero builder let me fiddle with her cats stats. Is this allowed for society play? I basically gave her cat some more into so she could take some teamwork feats, which i'm also curious if that's allowed. I dont see an issue with it for home games, but since this is for society play id like to know for sure.

From the author of the archetype:

Class and level mean class and level. Does the feat have a prereq that is a class and/or a level? F'rex:

Weapon Specialization, prereq is 4th level (level) fighter (class).

BAB is neither class nor level. It is secondarily derived from class and level, but in and of itself it is neither class nor level.

The rule is written quite specifically and is different from the monk's "no prereqs" rule.

I kinda figured thats how it would work, ill just have to change some levels around and get it to work.

A clarification would greatly effect my build and allow me to take Crusaders Flurry at level 3 instead of waiting for level 5

and as for the 6 feats... there is no six if you can only take feats at 1,5,10,15,20, Then its safe to assume its a typo. UNLESS the typo is the level bracket... And I haven't seen any clarification on that yet either.

MONK - Bonus Feat: At 1st level, 2nd level, and every 4 levels thereafter, a monk may select a bonus feat....A monk need not have any of the prerequisites normally required for these feats to select them.

does this mean the same thing?

CRUSADER - Bonus Feat: A crusader gains a bonus feat at 1st level,..Weapon Focus.. etc.....Bonus feats marked with an asterisk (*) must be applied to the favored weapon of the crusader's deity. A crusader need not meet the normal class- or level-based prerequisites for these bonus feats.

Does that mean I could take Weapon Focus at level 1 cleric if i was a level 1 cleric/crusader? Is it the same just worded differently than the monk version?

Full Text...

Bonus Feat: A crusader gains a bonus feat at 1st level, then again at 5th level and every five levels thereafter (to a maximum of six at 20th level). These bonus feats must be chosen from the following list: Heavy Armor Proficiency, Improved Shield Bash, Martial Weapon Proficiency, Saving Shield, Shield Focus, Tower Shield Proficiency, and Weapon Focus*. At 10th level, a crusader may also choose from the following feats: Exotic Weapon Proficiency, Greater Shield Focus, Greater Weapon Focus*, Improved Critical*, Shield Slam, Shield Specialization, and Weapon Specialization*. At 20th level, a crusader may also choose from the following feats: Greater Shield Specialization and Greater Weapon Specialization*. Bonus feats marked with an asterisk (*) must be applied to the favored weapon of the crusader's deity. A crusader need not meet the normal class- or level-based prerequisites for these bonus feats.

In both Firefox 3.x and Safari 5.x the feats section stops after power attack and goes to goobly g+*!...

I would like to know if

Spells per Day: When a new arcane trickster level is gained, the character gains new spells per day as if she had also gained a level in a spellcasting class she belonged to before adding the prestige class. She does not, however, gain other benefits a character of that class would have gained, except for additional spells per day, spells known (if she is a spontaneous spellcaster), and an increased effective level of spellcasting. If a character had more than one spellcasting class before becoming an arcane trickster, she must decide to which class she adds the new level for purposes of determining spells per day.

would effect this..

Hex: Witches learn a number of magic tricks, called hexes, that grant them powers or weaken foes. At 1st level, a witch gains one hex of her choice. She gains an additional hex at 2nd level and for every 2 levels attained after 2nd level, as noted on Table 2–10. A witch cannot select an individual hex more than once.

Unless otherwise noted, using a hex is a standard action that does not provoke an attack of opportunity. The save to resist a hex is equal to 10 + 1/2 the witch's level + the witch's Intelligence modifier.

Basically I am wondering if the increased spell casting level gained would also increase the DC of the HEX?

What if the Elven Curved blade was sized 1 step smaller to be used one handed? Could spell strike be used with a small elven curved blade?
