![]() Will we ever see the dungeons exampled in "Dungeons of Golarion" as fully laid out superdungeons similar to the Emerald Spire or were they meant purely as inspirational fluff? Was the Emerald Spire profitable enough that Paizo will consider publising more superdungeons in the future? Would it be feasible to design an AP to take place entirely within a superdungeon? P.S. Hollow Mountain... *Droolface* ![]()
![]() Dear Ask a Shoanti I recently discovered some tshamek wandering through my Quah's domain. They claim to be on a journey to save the city of Korvosa from their queen's evil grasp. I fear that they may be Chelaxian spies sent to assassinate our shaman. How can I be sure?! Sincerely,

![]() Hello James,
Curse of the Crimson Throne: If the Grey Maidens were to organize a mounted aerial unit (to replace the disbanded sable company), what sort of flying creature do you think they would choose as their mounts? Could Wyverns or Drakes be recruited for this purpose without the use of compulsory magic? Would the Grey Maidens torture/enslave their mounts or would they form a symbiotic predatory relationship? ![]()
![]() Mr. James, I am fast approaching Skarwall in my "Curse of the Crimson Throne" campaign and I am very worried that my players may come across some bad luck, make one wrong decision, or behave carelessly and end up dead dead, bringing the story (which my players LOVE btw) to a screeching halt. 1. Have you ever killed your entire party? How did you continue the story?

I am fully prepared for an off the rails adventure. Curse of the Crimson Throne:
my party has grown frustrated with their inability to confront the queen whom they rightly suspected was responsible for the Blood Veil from the get-go. (You have no idea how hard it was to distract them from B-lining for the Hospice of the Blessed Maiden at the beginning of "Seven Days to the Grave"). Bla bla bla. Complicated roadmap of branching plot paths... basically all roads will lead to the Arkonas (either in Korvosa or abroad), which leads to the sun shaman, which leads to scarwall, and then finally back to Korvosa. The story will happen. Any violent confrontation will (hopefully) lead a total party capture (and then total party jailbreak). I don't want to punish the party for taking a daring chance to end the queen's evil prematurely (high risk, high reward). The fight should be hard, but not unfair. 1. I'm really just curious: what resources do you think Ileosa has been able to muster up to this point in the story?
Thanks! :) ![]()
![]() James,
Curse of The Crimson Throne:
1. Obviously she has the Crown of Fangs, but does she have any of her other badass items? (namely the Ring of Splendid Security, or her +4 Dancing Iceburst Rapier)Should I give her the cloak of flight that way the party’s monk can’t as easily sprint over and snatch the crown off of her head?
Thanks! P.S. Thank you for Curse of the Crimson Throne :D. ![]()
![]() Hello James, 1. I was wondering if there is any reason the character art for Dr. Davaulus (from Curse of the Crimson Throne: Seven Days to the Grave) looks so much like Nicholas Cage? Do writers ever request that a commission looks like a real life people or does this kind of thing just happen by accident? 2. We've already seen a pirate based AP; will we ever see a campaign focused on subterfuge, stealth, assassins and sneakiness? Thanks, XD ![]()

Is it runelordy stuff?!?!?! The runelords and all the ancient leavings are probably what makes Varisia my mostest favorite area of Galoran. Will we be seeing more runelords rising out of the ashes in future Modules, scenarios, or APs? I am particularly interested in Sorshen and the sidebar you wrote for Crown of Fangs describing her hidey hole beneath Castle Korvosa. Will we ever see the catacombs of lust fully realized? |
