Much appreciated! I was looking at them, but was not sure based on name discrepancies.

Currently I'm looking pretty hard at Echo and Taskshaper. I'll have to take a look at those as well.

Edit: Are we able to access feats from our chosen Parity? Will fame and prestige be used?


Is there a good place to get information on Hyraetan, the Circle of Wardens, and the Parities?


Doing a check-in. While Aether auto is really cool, I now leaning towards an immicker daevic/echo. I like the idea of having more ways to duplicate the abilities of others and echo definitely feeds into that.

If anyone knows of any other classes that allow you to mimic others, I'm down to hear about them.

Edit: Ran across Taskshaper and taking a look at it as well now.

I'm definitely digging into the In The Company of Doppelgangers book today. Not sure if I want to look at taking it as my 3rd party class or Boon of the Storied Monster.

Would the Tarnhelm be an acceptable Major Artifact choice?


I've been wanting to give 3rd Party Products more of a go. I'm picking up the In The Company of Doppelgangers PDF now to take a look at it.

Been in the middle of this thing called life and haven’t spent the time I wanted creating a character. With two weeks of on-call coming up, I’m going to bow out from this. I realize I just showed interest, but wanted to show the respect of at least saying something. Good lick to everyone and remember to watch out for frostbite.


I will note I'm looking at a Witch myself.


I'm definitely interested, but I know my games have been hit or miss over the years so I understand if you go another direction. My currently active game does back to 2021 currently if that helps.

I took a quick look earlier and noted I'm listed.

I'm working on expanding upon my Varisian Cartomancer (Witch) concept.

Currently I'm envisioning a character that grew up in Sandpoint with their merchant father (Merchant Family - Campaign Trait) running the shop and helping stock it with potions (cauldron hex and Spark of Creation - Magic Trait). One of their dearest possessions is the heirloom harrow deck (Harrow Chosen - Race Trait) which serves as a conduit to their spells (Cartomancer).

To help make them more rounded and play into the card abilities, I'm considering giving them a gambling problem.


Chiming in to note that I am still here and interested. I'm grabbing some information before the site goes down so I can work on things over the weekend.


Sounds like fun. I’m going to do some research through the rest of the week and will plan on getting up more this weekend. I’m looking to submit a Varisian cartomancer (witch). I think it’s flavor would fit well.

I believe the concept is that Myriana's master would be the vampire that infected them with vampirism.

Despite Willow being a vampire, they would be incapable of turning Myriana since Fey Touched makes their base type Fey. I believe a Fey vampire would have had to created Myriana in the form she is in today.


Sounds good. I will aim to have a gameplay post up tonight to introduce my character and explain why his late to the gathering of the others.

I do have some questions to pose to you later as well in regards to how some things will work mechanically. For now, I'll focus mainly on getting my character wrapped up before moving on to his subordinates.


I've been doing a lot of character development with HeteromorphPC in Private Messages, but it feels prudent I put forth some of my work. I don't want anyone feeling like I'm stepping on their toes.

My character is a middle-aged man who retired almost 10 years ago. He traveled for a couple of years before his degenerating health made that impossible. Seeking some way to improve his situation, he joined Yggdrasil and has spent increasing amounts of time over the past 7 years in the game as his financials are taken care of through his savings, investments, and company Willow investments which he has passed the day to day operations over to others. The character uses Yggdrasil as an escape and placed to live out things he never imagined.

I'm working on a Peri-Blooded Aasimar Vampire with 7 levels in Scaled Fist Unchained Monk and Spirit Guide Oracle of the Bone with the Legalistic curse.

The character will have a large number of subordinates that will help serve the needs of their master and the guild. It will take time to flush them out, but some of what I have planned includes the following:

  • Cohort (from Vile Leadership) - Half-Elf Graveknight with 5 levels in Tyrant Antipaladin and Undead Lord Cleric - Serves as a bodyguard to my character
  • Enslaved Vampire with 5 levels in Mindchemist Alchemist - Serves as an advisor and potion crafter
  • Enslaved Vampire with 5 levels in Undead Lord Cleric - Serves as a lead for undead forces doing more mundane tasks and as a healer for them
  • Enslaved Vampire with 5 levels in Swamp Druid - Serves as a potion crafter, eyes in a nearby swamp, and resource gatherer
  • Enslaved Vampire with 5 levels in Witch - Serves as a guardian of the hidden abode (Depending on the size of our base and/or setup, they should help hide it with a couple of hexes)
  • Enslaved Vampire with 5 levels in Wizard - Serves as a magic item crafter
  • Mindless undead will serve as a source of unending labor for less complex tasks
  • Followers (from Vile Leadership) - Serves as a source of information, potential food for vampires, and more

Please let me know if you have any concerns. I realize this is a rather powerful build. I'm open for further ideas as well.

To help manage the entire task, I'm writing it up in a Google Doc that can be found here in case anyone wants to look it over.


I've watched through the first four seasons and have the movie left. It sounds like Yggdrasil had a cash shop, is that correct? If so, I think I may have that play a factor in my character's background.

With being a Sunwalker, I'm going to adjust my character's race to a Peri-Blooded (Emberkin) Aasimar. Some natural resistance to fire and love for the sun seems like it would mesh well. The Emberkin's are known to wrestle between good and evil. This will make an excellent chance to showcase one that fell to the lure of evil, though his player may find the duality fitting to his new predicament.


I've been actively working on my character, but wanted to inquire into some of the abilities you have offered up. In particular:

9 - gain a super power
10 - gain another 'Special' from another class, it cannot be a Special above 5th level

What would qualify for a superpower? For a vampire, might it be the ability to withstand daylight?

For gain another 'Special' from another class? Are we able to choose whatever ability we want from another class as long it's below fifth level? For instance, an Antipaladin's Unholy Resilience?


Heteromorph reached out so we can discuss character ideas, so I may be a little longer in further presenting my character. The concept of him controlling a large force still stands, but they may be more specialized as we choose whose subordinates handle which roles.

Currently I'm still aiming for vampire as I believe it will serve as a great factor in his "vile" leadership capabilities. Dangling the reward of immortality to his followers. A power that would ensure their allegiance, but also a tool for punishing those who fail him. Capable of turning them into thrall to serve him until he finds no further use for them.

Thanks for the update HeteromorphPC. I'm still feeling the vampire more so then the lich. I think it makes for a character that can still appreciate more out of life then knowledge.

I've got quite a bit of writing ahead of me with the number of controlled, enslaved, followers, and minions this character is set to have. Fortunately feel many will be more background characters then anything.


After some further review, and to help prevent two liches being present, I'm looking at switching my concept over to a vampire instead. I think this will fit the character in a number of ways as well.

General Character Concept:

[Name to be determined] is a middle-aged man who spent much of his youth in pursuit of wealth as an accountant. Now in his later years, he lives comfortably off his current assets and investments. This frees up much of his time to enjoy his time exploring Yggdrasil and vicariously pursuing some of the things he feels his life has lacked through his character.

Use to the finer things in life, but well aware that nothing lasts forever, he created a noble vampire within the world as the epitome of grace and eternal youth.

While aware that many would consider him a powerful man due to his wealth in the real world, he has chosen to take a more direct route in the game through necromancy and magic.

These factors and his generous amount of time spent online, have granted him the ability to create a network for the guild. His undead minions serving in a mundane manner, his spawn serving in matters that require more finesse, and his more lively associates dealing with the local populace.

Inquiry:

As a vampire controlling undead through magic, would his vampiric spawn count against his total HD controllable through his class?


Heads up, I was also looking at creating a Lich. The concept was being centered around someone who helps manage the needs of the guild, whether those be resources, manpower, and/or intelligence.

As a player whose financials have been handled in a more automated fashion, the character would find more free time to handle the affairs of the guild as they spend most of their day online. While not always appearing visible, their presence is often felt through the movements of the NPCs.

The character would have a grave knight bodyguard (cohort). He would put his various undead and followers to work serving the needs of the guild as he sees fit.

I envisioning the character being good at math so I may take some options that help showcase that in their build.


The concept sounds fun. I'm starting up the anime for background research. Is there still room for more?

Edit: I finished getting caught up on the Recruitment thread and it sounds like there is still room for more. I'm going to start making my way through the Gameplay and Discussion threads to get caught up.

I don't want to throw out a character concept quite yet, but the name Willow gives me some ideas.

Edit 2: I'm mostly caught up on the discussion thread now. With needing to get a character together and the server reset happening for the rest, I'm thinking my character may have been busy elsewhere in the game distracted by something.

Currently my only real focus at the moment is that I would like to play a healer of some sort that makes use of the life sphere from Spheres of Power.


This sounds like quite the adventure. I would like to throw my hat into the ring, although my posts this week will be limited because of getting ready for a convention.

I'll start putting some thought into the kind of character I would like to play.

I noted you mentioned the Stamina and Combat Tricks under House Rules. How will you be implementing it? Feat Access, Free for Fighters, Fighter Bonus Feats Only, or Free for Everyone?

I plan on giving a more in-depth update later today, but for now I'm looking at the following:

A kitsune half-succubus bard (thinking masked musician)/ witch (seducer) who was a result of experiments to make a perfect spy. In their attempts to create such a spy, they inadvertently gave the character the skills they needed to escape and elude their attempts to reclaim her.

Having been raised by such people, she given her a grim view of the world. She does not hesitate to make pacts with dark powers and use souls as a simple means to an end.

Her strengths will lie mostly in infiltration and information gathering.

A couple of questions that came up while I was researching the character:
-Are we allowed to make cursed items? There are rules for doing so.
-Are we receiving a hat of disguise outside of our normal starting gold of 3,000?
-Are we allowed to have crafted magic items prior to the games start at the reduced cost?

Currently I'm looking at a couple of items that will hopefully mesh well with the characters espionage skills like Pathfinder Pouch (need a safe place to store soul gems and incriminating items) and Sleeves of Many Garments.


Knowing that definitely pushes me towards a spellcaster. I've been leaning towards a charisma heavy build and knowing the rest of their ability scores would be helpful. Let's get those rolled so I can work on getting a finished build created.

Will there be time for item creation should we take feats for such?


Ah...that explains the template. That's rather powerful to begin with. Even more so if we're freely given the ability to add on additional abilities like the corruptions without cost.

Definitely creative though.


I'm rather curious how one goes about adding the ghost template to their character...

I was able to resolve the issue with the Chainbreaker server by leaving and rejoining. Oddly enough I was still in it despite you saying that you did not see me in it.

I'll join the other server tomorrow, getting ready to head for bed.

I've been reviewing the sphere system. I'm not very familiar with it. I'm still looking at creating some kind of healer, but knowing my options helps inspire my character creation process.


I'm currently working to review the various aspects of the game while coming up with a character concept.

Current Concept: A Pei Zin Practitioner (Oracle of Life) who prior to the outbreak had made their way to Absalom on a joint venture with the Pathfinder Society to work on sharing and consolidating information health care practices of both magical and mundane natures.

Current Questions: In reviewing the wiki, I noted the following:

I've only glanced over things a bit so far, but this sounds interesting. I'll have to keep digging into things and see what I can come up with.


Reviewed the current information on the Campaign Info tab. I'll have to put some thought into what I might like to play.

Perhaps some kind of dagger centric field medic or scout of sorts.

I saw you made mention of figuring out another name the rank and file might use for the Spine of the 8th Crusade daggers. Perhaps something along the line of "leeches" considering their ability to suck away detrimental effects. Doubly so considering leeches have been used for medicinal purposes and the ability to remove debuffs seems to fit in with that.


I mean who doesn't want to stab their allies from time to time?
