Hello fiends and ne'er-do-wells. I am looking for a couple more players to join this posse.

We have currently finished Thorn's dungeon of the 9 lessons and are about to have a celebration feast. This means your character hasn't come from Branderscar so please come up with another reason that the Cardinal would have recruited you. Keep in mind you have no personal connection or knowledge of the cardinal before he sent his second in command Tiadora, a very beautiful lady, to recruit you.

The character build rules are in the campaign tab. You will be level 4. Since there is ABP in effect you should only have 3,000gp worth of equipment (max half in 1 item).

For the templates, HERE is a sample of the already scaled ones that players have chosen before. You may, but do not have to, choose one of these. We can easily work on another you prefer to play.

Currently this party consists of:
Araton the Tiefling Oracle/Antipaladin(Tyrant) with the Haunted One template.
Sarela the Aasimar Mesmerist(Vexing Daredevil)/Vigilante(Cabalist) with the Psychic Lich template.
Ophelia the Human Ranger(Skirmisher)/Rogue(Scout/Bruiser) with the Half-Dragon template.

Hello, I’m interested, thinking of a human Magus (Kensai)/Wizard with the Vampire template. 18 would go into DEX and 8 into CHA.

Stat: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
Stat: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
Stat: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10
Stat: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12

Hi there! I'd be quite interested in playing! Any idea how long the recruitment will be up?

stat: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16

stat: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14

stat: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15

stat: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14

Nice stats!

5 minute background including reason why he is a half Balor:

Well Well
Ardran heard a seductive voice

Guess who got second place in Balor-Bowl? Congratulations on being a half Balor, condolescences on being Succubus food. To be honest, 2nd place out of 66 is not unimpressive. Entirely on point for the winner to backstab you about 10 seconds before you would backstab her.

Ardran, being chained to some type of pillar recogniced one thing..

My Lady, thee say "Succubus" like an insult, therefor though arent one?

He heard clapping, from more then 1 pair of hands

See Thiadora, I told you this mortal has above average mental facilities! And he is imbued with Abyssal power, in more ways then one, and he is quite capable of following orders. You see, being insufficiently chaotic caused his "second place"...
Another female voice said, he knew this one, Walks-in-Shadow, headpriestess of his tribe and "totally not a Succubus".
He was pretty sure she was a Lilitu, the 360 degree vision she seemed to have was a giveaway.

Guard your thought now Ardran, because they are correct concerning what she is. The first female voice spoke in his mind, almost blanketting it and thus shielding it.

Now Lady Thiadora, does this satisfy our bargain?

If this mortal pledges to serve me willingly and freely, to bring ruin to Talingarde then yes.

Now Ardran, you wouldnt wish to disappoint me would you? Lady Thiadora and myself go way back and I would absolutely hate to disappoint her...

I do so pledge
Ardran answered

narrative TLDR:

Ardran is of the Caer Bryr, several of the Iraeni tribes there worship Demons, Ardrans is informally led by one, who for some reason owes Thiadora a favor, one she opted to repay via Ardran. Ardran will be quite loyal, as he likes being alive and considers life debts serious business.

Note quite sure about classes yet, but with those stats he can be anything.
Looking at the parties needs, a lore monkey may be in some demand, and its ABP so spell warrior is nice, in terms of theme, the other side is Abyssal Bloodrager, and they can be made to work with each other via 2 feats.

Here is Mightypion WIP submission.

Design specifications:
--Lore monkey
--Hand out Buffs
--Stealthy enough
--High sense motive since nobody seems to have it
--Hand out Fiend totem rage power because this should be hilarious in an evil campaign
--Not mess with ally spellcasting or abilities.

GM question: If I have claws from being a low level half Balor, do these claws improve by a step if I also get claws from my bloodrage?
It isnt neccesary for the build at all.

Second question: I saw some characters have specific beefs with certain Antagonists? May I propose:

background:

Ara Mathra, stupid chicken with delusions of grandeur, banisher of my demonic ancestor! Heh, not that I particularly care, if you are a Balor and get banished by a celestial chicken, you have clearly f*%+ed up. But there is this funny "LION OF MIDNIGHT!" Prophecy of my people, which includes killing this chicken in particular, so if I pull this off I can become the War leader of the Caer Bryr! Of the proper Demon or Devil worshipping bad-asses, the effing former Iraen turned sunsuckers would clearly have to be put in place, but still! Hah, that is a worthy ambition!

Third question:
How much starting wealth on top of ABP do we have?

I would *dearly* love to play in a WotW, as I have tried for many years to complete this AP(Currently in a game now here on the boards, but our GM is MIA atm possibly due to Covid).

Haruk got all the way to I think the middle of book two or maybe three, but as long as you don't mind a player with some experience, I don't care if I repeat a ton of stuff.

I saw that some 3pp is possibly allowed, so curious if I could make him a Legendary Sorcerer?

My GM worked with me to create an Infernal Disciple PrC that was basically a devilish version of Dragon Disciple. Sadly, I think I lost access to it, but it basically took aspects of the DD and added parts of the Devilbound template(Pit Fiend), so I think that's likely the template I'll take.

As for gestalt, I think maybe the Occultist archetype for the Arcanist fits his concept nicely!

Recruitment will only go for a week or 2. I won't take too long to choose.

Ardran Claws don't improve if you get them from multiple sources unless an ability specifically says they do. You get 3,000gp worth of equipment with no item worth more than half that.

Haruk Previous experience is ok. Obviously the basic storyline is the same but the encounters and NPC's and a few extras that aren't in the books that I add for personal flavour will always be new. What legendary bloodline are you going for?

Diabolic! Sadly, there's no way to hyperlink to that portion of the entry.

A big part of Haruk's concept is to unlock his infernal heritage more and more. Hence why the GM helped me with the custom PrC.

He's very much built as a face currently, but if that role is covered by another PC, I could switch around his feats/spell choices.

Is an amulet of mighty fists (instead of a normal Magic weapon) ok?

Other question: How does being a Half Balor manifest? Am I immidiatly recogniceable as such in the absence of illusory spells? Is this level dependend?

These are very genorous build rules btw!

Do I step on peoples toes check:

-Ardran is also a face, but given the degree of infiltration in this module, this is imho fine, if questioned he does not blow up the parties cover by being bad at bluffing.
-Fighting: Ardran is a very mobile combatant, which should be different enough flavor, he is going into whirlwind attack with a Bardiche as a "AoE mob removal option", spring attack a fair bit and use his natural attacks when stuck in.

I think Ardran is mostly complete at this point, added a roleplay sample as extra background, which also contains his crime, sacrificing a mithran missionary to a Demonlord, after killing his guards in a nighttime raid.

Added a prophecy, as well as some possible characters to maybe throw at the party.

Haruk Yea the bloodlines need their own page like the cleric domains, consider it ok'd. Anyways Devilbound (Pit Fiend) will progress the same as Devilbound(Contract Devil) except for ability and spell changes. I've adjusted it here if you'd like to have a look at how it will work.

Ardran Without having a disguise on (which you get given the equivalent of a hat of disguise by the Cardinal), your template will cause physically visible changes. Up to you exactly how the differences manifest (check out the aasimar physical features table for ideas) but you are an Outsider(native) and recognizable as such. Only those with specific knowledge will be able to know exactly what you are, but similar to a tiefling, the influence of evil outsiders will be seen and you may experience prejudice, fear, hate or other reactions. Amulets of Mighty Fist don't exist with Automatic Bonus Progression. You can simply choose a weapon to attune (at level 4 you get a +1 to 1 weapon). If you're wanting to enhance your natural attacks you can choose 1 type to enhance (such as claws).

Understood, he will be enchancing his claws then, that will definitly help to keep his DPR in check! (it will still be plenty).

I have added a description, he can pass for human if he invests in disguise kits, keeps his claws and fangs covered and wears contact lenses, when he bloodrages most certainly not.

Currently searching for artwork.

Found some, now I just need the smartest way to get disguise as a class skill :). There are thankfully a couple.

Would be trait "Keeper of the Veil" be allowed,
Keeper of the veil? Having disguise fits the character quite well, I would argue that a tribe worshipping a Demon lord of secrets will be above average at hiding their identities.

Read that wrong, its 2 traits, one of them campaign, and a drawback for a third trait right? I think I will just use disguise as my next versatile performance thing at level 6.
Saves me skill points and a trait I dont actually have!

Redid sheet in a more readible format I still have some money to burn.

1d10 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16
1d10 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16
1d10 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
1d10 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12

Hm! Not bad at all!

I think I'll take the broken soul template, to try and mitigate some of my high rolling on stats. Before I get too deep in the weeds of backstory, should we assume that we do have a crime based campaign trait, or not? I'd like to know if I'm guilty of high treason or not :)

Hello there folks! Araton here, your local antipaladin!

So far for builds and such, Araton is a supportive front-liner and uses Oracle stuff for buffing and the Ancestors purview for extra support. He fights well enough up front in combat and I am looking to go down the Intimidation-line of debuffing in combat.

I've helped the other player building the half-dragon to get their character set up; they're fighting with a scimitar in hand and secondary natural attacks. Lots of flanking and all that goodness as well. She'll hit hard and hit often while scouting and disabling traps as well.

I haven't really sat through Sarela's but I know it is an interesting combination.

I am seeking to do an interesting hybrid of mobility and direct combat, essentially using spring attack to set up either reach shenangians, or make sure you guys benefit from flank, abusing that I cant be flanked because improved uncanny dodge.
The way it works, I spring attack someone and move behind him. Due to spring attack enemy doesnt get to AoO.

Ardran in combat will generally start as a reach attacker, and then drop the bardiche to start using his natural attacks (4 in total) as primaries.
I think the half dragon will also enjoy having an extra gore attack from his weapon song, I dont think your build dislikes getting a free secondary natural either.
A major power boost will be level 5. At this level, I can add +1 enchancement bonus to everyones weapons/natural weapons and also add a juicy +d6 elemental damage (or keen) on top of that.
Level 6 is the next level of fiend totem, its not great though, anything that hits you in melee gets hit for d6 piercing damage. It does affect summons though.
Level 9 is a free rage slot (I only get greater fiend totem at level 12), so ye, write a wishlist :).

Araton and Ardran should get along well, they both seem to be bruisers with an intellectual bent.

Mechanically, once I hit greater fiend totem, anything is adjacent to you are the beginning of your turn receives 2d6 damage (eh at that level, but hej, no save) and is also no save shaken (possibly useful!) and I think the Antipaladin intimidate build has stuff that makes a use of targets shaken by other people.

Level 2 spells will likely be heroism, level 3 good hope and haste.
Do you have unsanctioned knowledge? Probably not as impactfull with an actual bard spell list user in the team.

I uh... did something very similar actually Ardran. I can remake it so there isn't too much competition for the same role? After all, we may be evil, but I don't want to step on anyone's toes either!

Felthún is a NE barbarian samurai. Instead of having AC, he has damage reduction. In fact, his combat plan is to use order of the flame to reduce his AC to 0 as a fight goes on, surviving off of DR alone. At this level he can have DR7/- At 6th that goes up to DR14/- In addition, every time he fells a challenged target, he can immediate action glorious challenge something else, so his damage keeps scaling the more things he kills in combat.

He's also got a pretty decent int, which he mostly uses for art purposes. When he hits 10th level, he gets pounce, which will go well with the two weapon fighting he gets from his samurai archetype.

The build only works with the sheer number of feats, and gestalt that we've been given. However as mentioned, I don't want to step on Ardran's toes, especially since you finished your character first!

Background:

Strong. Vital. Handsome. Intelligent. Those were all words that used to be used to describe Felthún. It seemed that anything he put his mind to learning, he could do easily. Martial arts, painting, long jumping, you name it. While Felthún delighted in training his body, as well as practicing high society arts, he did not exercise his willpower in the same way. Felthún enjoys food, carnal desires, wine, and other creature comforts, and dispite his rather modest living conditions, often partook in them.
Felthún considered himself beneith a standard job, and typically made his money off of selling his paintings. When money got short, he would paint more and more debaucherous things for more and more unsavory clients. If that didn't work, he would borrow money. That would lead to be his undoing.
Felthún's parents, being long since dead, and having no relatives that he thought particularly highly of, meant that no one except for local bartenders and brothel owners noticed when Felthún went missing. His habit of borrowing money finally caught up to him. First they beat him. And still Felthún laughed at them, for he hardly felt the sting of their kicks.
Then they tried hanging him. But there wasn't enough room indoors to break his neck with a drop, and so after 5 minutes of Felthún's disapproving gaze, they cut him down.
The return to beating finally took some of his cockiness away from him. Using cudgels and knives, they carved and beat at him for what seemed like hours. And still his baleful eye stared back at his assailers. He had yet to cry out in pain.
So they burned him. Finally, he began to scream, as his flesh began to sear, and the room that they were holding him filled with smoke. His beauty melted away with the fire, melted like the fat under his skin. He knew in his heart of hearts that he was no longer beautiful as the flames licked at him. And that hurt more than the endess cuts and bruises, hurt more than the rope around his neck. Straining against the bonds that held him, he raged as he had never done before, breaking them, and tumbling from the pyre. His captors, who had abandoned the smokey room long before, did not see him tumble, and as such did not know that he lay in wait for them behind the door.
His hands became as claws that day, the phlangies scraping at the meat of their frail bodies. Staggering out into an abandoned street in the werehouse district, the first person he came across screamed and ran when he tried to ask them for help. The moneylenders hadn't succeeded in killing him. But they had humbled him, and broken his spirit.
It was in the underground churches of Asmodeus that he found respite. They were the only ones willing to take him in, who recognized his physical might, who praised him for his artwork. They still saw his potential for greatness, his tennacious grip on life, the anger at the society that had cast him away. Filled with anger, self-loathing, and a burning desire to return to how he was before, Felthún swore allegiance to the Asmodaen uprising. His former glory may have been lost to him, but he could find new glory amongst these compatriots. Glory as an unpeered warrior. Glory in serving until death.

Felthún is tall, and broad. His patchwork of hair is brown. There are charred patches of skin that refuse to heal properly. He could best be described as a giant callus, often with a raven on his shoulder. However, he is also very vain, and purchased items to make him appear more normal. When those are taken from him, he flies into a blind fury, especially when confronted with his own true reflection. When engaging in sexual activities, he insists on keeping up the illusion of handsomeness. He can still fight with the grace that he used to have as a martial artist, but now prefers to rely on his absurd pain tolerence to fight like a berserker, approaching an almost superhuman level of punishment taken. He wears no armor, and takes a superhuman glee in inflicting injuries that resemble his own, spurring him to greater and greater heights in battle. Outside of battle, he's kinder, gentler, and enjoys creating beautiful things.
Felthún takes a new joy in being around animals. They don't seem to judge him the same way that people do. He has a Raven that he is particularly close to that he named Stephan. Stephan is Felthún's closest companion.

Before I roll for stats, important question:

Are our stats locked into the order rolled? Ie, Str, Dex, Con, Int, Wis, Cha? Or are we allowed to move the rolled stats around?

You can place them where you please

Just for flavor, but would it be possible for an evil version of certain spells?
I like the flavor of Songbird but would obviously prefer to replace it with the music of Hell, Abbadon or the Abyss. No mechanical changes, other then it being "conjuration evil" instead of "conjuration good".

The way I picture infernal music is perhaps like this:
Epica vs attack on Titan crimson bow and arrow

Abyssal perhaps:
Alisa White Gluz Demons are a girls best friend

Focus: Cha
Foible: Str

1d10 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11

1d10 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16

1d10 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12

1d10 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11

Dang, those kinda suck. That's a 14 point buy, not including the 18 & 8....

I wonder if I was in one of your eariler Way of the Wicked recruitments?

stats:
1d10 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
1d10 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9
1d10 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16
1d10 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
STR: 18
CHA: 8

I have a nice Ranger/Spiritualist build whose storycan bu adjusted for an evil build. The Giant template looks very much fun actually.

Interested, although Gestalt AND a template is giving me option paralysis already! Still, I'll take a looksie.

*waves to Haruk*

I like the look/idea of the Implacable Stalker or the classic vampire template. 4th level means that the 'dying and being reborn' par t could already be out of the way, which would be useful from a storytelling point of view.

1d10 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16
1d10 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9
1d10 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
1d10 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13

Probably: Str 18, Dex 16, Con 14, Int 8, Wis 13, Cha 9. Although that would depend on the template and how HP interacted.

I'll roll some fluff around and see if I can come up with an idea I like. That's the most important thing afterall!

Oh, Ardran would totally take the Hell knight test (fight a bearded devil summoned via infernal challenger) for bragging rights/status/prove his capabilities.

This could be a cool way to introduce a new character.

2 people marked this as a favorite.

Ardran An evil songbird spell would be fine I think.

If people are having terrible rolls I will give you a 16,14,12,10 stat set. I'm not trying to limit or punish anyone here for unlucky dice.

I think I've got plenty of interest. If characters can be submitted with at least a build outline, template chosen, crime trait, party role(s) and backstory by next weekend I should be able to make my decisions then.

Cardinal A. Thorn
My concept is slowly coming together as a Monk/Inquisitor of a suitable church, either Achaekek or Asmodeus who successfully murders a high ranking figure in Tallengarde. They did it in full knowledge that said figure was a vampire, but they didn't realise that the target was part of a coven/pack of other vampires.

The pack captured my character, turned them by force and then set them up for the murder but framed it as a vampire attack on an innocent and beloved public figure, rather than the other way around.

A couple of questions:
- Chained or Unchained Classes? I'm hoping I can use the Unchained Monk.
- We're taking a campaign trait, but we haven't actually escaped from Brandescar, correct? The Cardinal has saved us from execution elsewhere and brought us to join the party for his own inscrutable ends?
- Would you allow a monk/inquisitor of Achaekek to use flurry of blows with a sawtooth sabre? It seems like a nice way of melding some of the key class features of the classes but its firmly 'ask your GM' territory.

Questions (since we actually can into combat maneuvers because of EITR and feats galore):

Trippy questions:

If I whirlwind attack and use Greater Trip instead of the melee attacks, can I AoO people I trip?
I think yes because whirlwind attack says nothing about forgoing AoOs.
The same should be true for vicious stomp.

Does Felling smash work with vital strike?
I think yes, both upgrade the attack action, but I want to verify.

Note: I am absolutely fine either way, the build rules are super genorous.

Very interested! Just discovered this.

New Year’s Eve party starting here in Europe so will only be able to post character on Monday.

Okay, new year is over and I read through the char generation.

stat : 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
stat : 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
stat : 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
stat : 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16

May I just ask one question GM: What is the expectation regarding posting rates?

I'm definitely interested. I've played this before, but I don't think we ever made it to the point where you are.

Will there be time for item creation should we take feats for such?

Nikolaus Unchained definitely. You weren't punished for your crime, the Cardinal found and recruited you before Talinguarde had a chance to get you. I'll allow you to flurry with sawtooths.

Ardran Yes whirlwind attack, greater trip and vicious stomp all work together. Also felling smash and vital strike work together.

Nowruz I hope people can post everyday. It doesn't always work out but I do my best to check every day and update whenever possible.

Lucky Yes. There should be plenty of time for that.

Any insight for me? No is perfectly ok :)

Thanks GM!

One question regarding the types that change with the template progression: what is undead (augmented)?

Cardinal A. Thorn

Thank you for this. One more question I'm afraid.

I'm going for the vampire template and I'm writing in that my character has already died (been killed) and been reborn as a vampire. Since he's still level 4 though that means I don't have the undead type, the weaknesses etc? I'm clear about the progression of all the other abilities, I'm just a bit unsure about whether I should be an undead yet and subject to all the associated weaknesses.

I don't mind either way - if being Undead and having the weaknesses now, but only the benefits up to 4 is the 'price' I pay for my backstory that's fine too.

Thanks in advance.

P.S: what does '+2 skills' mean? Do I have +2 to all the skills that the vampire template grants or just the skills that it grants +2 to?

A Ghost Rider Cavalier with the Gravenight template would be so awesome...

My character is finished,

but here is stuff I was considering:

The mad artist:

Trompe Loill Cleric/Slayer. Worships one of the appropriate Kyton Demagouges (to get weapon proficiency with Spiked chains), fights with spiked chains. Obviously wants to kill the artist he/she is based off, who happens to be Belindas "Court painter"/"Socially acceptable adventurer bodyguard".

Ghost Rider/Oracle Grave knight.
Slighty flavored after Genghis Khan, so actually pretty friendly towards party members.

Fey Touched Gunslinger/Wizard, very sneaky, until its all the explosives everywhere.

Giant Oracle(battle)/Mutagenic Mauler Brawler
Basically a very Large, occassionally huge beatstick in full plate that ends people with his mighty fists. Sees Steroids as the answer to all of lives questions. Powered by an appropriate infernal duke of self improvement.

Totally not Elza Frost:
Magus/Winter witch, all the cold spells, reach out and touch someone.

Kazmanaught No issues that I can see with your character, looks ready and submitted to me.

GM Nowruz That means your type changes from Humanoid(Human) for example to Undead(Augmented Humanoid). Your original type has been 'augmented'.

Nikolaus I based it on the previous template feats which gave me the original idea for scaling templates, which I imagine took inspiration from the vampire template which requires 5HD to be placed on a creature. So I will ask that you not be killed and reborn yet and let that happen in game when or shortly after you become level 5. The regular template grants +8 to Bluff, Perception, Sense Motive, and Stealth checks. So instead you get a +2 to those skill which scales up to +8 eventually as your vampire power increases.

I expect that my muse won't let me ignore this one one. But as I'm coming off of being sick, it may take a bit to get my brain spooled up.

2 people marked this as a favorite.

I see there is currently quite a few submissions and potential submissions and interest posts. I had been pondering this but have now properly decided to select 2 of you to join this current campaign where you will join the current party of 3. I will decide at the end of this week.

For those that don't get chosen but would still like to play, I will select another 4-6 of you to form a completely new group to start at the same point (done the prison escape a few times now so lets not go back to the beginning). So you will have escaped Branderscar and completed the 9 Lessons and be ready to accept the contract offered by Cardinal Thorn.

If we lose players along the way it should be easy for me to merge the groups if numbers fall too far.

So far I have... (let me know if I have missed something or if you change something)

Quick but complex question:
How much DPR against lets say AC 20 should a character do at level4, level 6 and level 8 assuming he is a full martial for the most part and has little other tools for contributing in combat?

The incredibly geneorous build rules enable some pretty impressive numbers early on, especially factoring in weapon song from Skald which starts kicking in for real at level 5 (also boosts the party, but a natural attacker with many smaller attacks gets way more out of it, I think the half dragon slayer will also become a total blender with the extra damage she possibly gets from Ardran)

Thanks a lot! I play this game for 20 years and never saw this augmented subtype before. ;-)

Just googled it because I did not know it.

I am thinking about Vampire as well so maybe Ardran and my character could build a connection? :-D

Just a question about undead (augmented) type. Does that mean we are real undead at some point with immunities and all like undead? That might really affect some of the ideas I have as morale bonuses etc won’t apply then. Good with everything mechanically but I just wanted to know.

Thanks again! And happy new year everyone!!

Ardran is a half Balor (and not yet selected), but I think Sarella is a psychic lich and Araton is a haunted one.

I have to update Haruk(and lower his level) to your rules, but yes, he is mostly finished. I'll be working on that tonight.

I am definitely interested in this if there is still room. I too have had quite a few false starts with this game, and would love to see it go to high levels!

GM, are you good with characters crafting items during downtime?

Attribute rolls:
1d10 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15
1d10 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
1d10 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9
1d10 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16

Ardran The only real metric I have for that question is the table here. Whatever your main combat thing requires (to hit/DCs) try to have green numbers for that level. So currently for level 4 you could have +4 BAB +4 Str +1 weapon focus +1 enhancement from ABP and that's +10 to hit not counting spell and ability buffs, flanking or other things so you would be doing just fine in combat. Higher than blue is when it is over the top and you should put resources into increasing defenses or something that isn't as high compared to the table.

GM Nowruz Yes you will become fully undead with all the immunities and weaknesses. It hasn't come up before but I usually let intelligent undead get affected by morale bonuses, barbarians can rage and so on. What was the class you were wondering about?

Liberty's Edge

Interested! I've played WotW a bit before (I think the campaign died around book 3 or 4), but I think you mentioned already that previous experience is ok.

I was planning a Trompe L'oeil knife-thrower (swashbuckler and the other half undecided)

Focus CHA
Foible CON

1d10 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15
1d10 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15
1d10 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10
1d10 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14

Just one question, do Trompe L'oeil's weapon/armor bonuses and ABP stack?

As for background, I'd like my character to be a painting of an antagonist (or protagonist, if the party are the antagonists, heh...) in the campaign. Could you suggest someone? Or I can dig into my old gameplay thread to search for one.

My to hit, saves and AC (the latter 2 being on the low side, ac being lowish because Abyssal Bloodragers effectively get -4 to AC while raging) seem fine, I am just rolling 4 primary natural attacks in a full attacks, 3 of those from the template and one via the gore attack I hand out.

But it is probably fine, assuming Ophelia gets to sneak attack, and hits a human (both reasonable assumptions) she will hit a fair bit harder then Ardran especially if heroismed.

I may also be wrong, but with her highest stat at 18, she may be missing her +2 ability bonus from human.

To help focus my ideas, I should ask about the top 3pp categories. Psionics and Spheres of Power?

Okay, my muse has spoken. Since we have both living and dead people, I want to make somebody who can heal both kinds of people, or rip their animating forces away. She is like a child whose toys are souls.

This would use Soul Weaver(dual channeler) and Vitalist So without spheres and psionics, this character doesn't work.

I'm not sure on template yet.

stats: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
stats: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15
stats: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
stats: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16
