I am on Windows 8.1 with Adobe Reader 11.0.09 and haven't noticed an issue. Is there a particular section that isn't working correctly for you?

Thats what I needed. Thanks everyone. :-)

I am working on my Ranger's companion and am wondering do I give it the +3 trained bonus on skills listed as "class skills?" I didn't find any answers using the Google-machine, though it is 3:30 am and I might have missed something due to sleepiness.

Thanks forum folks.

Trade in your mount for a cohort, then have him ride you with a lance, while you also charge with a lance! Triple kill!

Centaur often take offense to anyone attempting to ride them as if they were a horse. In dire need or emergency exceptions can be made of course and my centaur ranger has made such exceptions a couple times during my game play.

I agree with SenahBirdR about allowing the mounted type feats to apply even though there is no rider.

Cactacae?

Wikipedia description:

"Humanoid cacti. The Cactacae are enormous plant people, often towering over human beings. Although their young grow out of the ground, they nurse them as mammals do. Cactacae have sap for blood. They are known for their strength, and are often employed as laborers and bodyguards. Cactacae bodies are fibrous, with wooden bones, making them notoriously difficult to kill or wound with normal weapons; bullets pass nigh-harmlessly through them. The Cactacae community in New Crobuzon is based around The Glasshouse, and is allowed to exist as a nominally independent community within the city. Their weapons of choice are Rivebows, oversized crossbows that fire a spinning metal disc capable of shearing off cactacae limbs."

From China Miéville's Bas-Lag setting.

The Cactacae had their own 3.5 conversion back in Dragon Magazine 352, which you may or may not be able to find somewhere on the interwebs. Worth checking into though, they're definitely right up your alley.

Good stuff.

a ghoran who is a cactus subtype would work

And that is what I shall use. :-)

Hello all.

I am in need of a PC/NPC race that is home in the arid/desert land. I know there are several plant based races but am unsure which, if any, work or can be styled as one home in the desert. Our current campaign has us dropped in the middle of Osirion and I'd like us to stumble upon someone who may guide us out. Thanks for any ideas/suggestions.

Options for multi-classers sounds good to me. Hybrid archetypes and/or PrCs would be cool. Additional support for ARG as the Succubus mentioned. Can't go wrong following her lead.

* Some Ranger Acts if I could please.

The first thing I thought of was a giant made of ice cream on a rampage.

An equally brilliant idea!

Lumbering into town on a hot summer day pulling a cart comes a giant! The townsfolk are not afraid, instead they wave and the kids come a running for this giant has the best cold treats in the land!

True they are usually CE but, there are always exceptions right? :-)

Yes! Looks great! Can't wait for more details!

I want to see Expanded Options: The Flumph!!!!!

Excellent! I'd love a Flumph companion for my ranger. :-)

And perhaps, finally, we can see a revisit to a particular enterprising goblin, whom we still have no statblock for. Just a quick collection of goodies, perhaps a Krazy Kragnar's roadside sale kind of thing.

This. I also would like to see additional animal companion stuffs, and more attention to the elements other then fire. Can I get some sonic love here?

Really? Should I expound on all the ways firearms can be turned into gnomish gearbows or dwarven steambombards?

Is there enough interest in that for me to consider a reskinned firearms product?

Yes, I have interest in this product you speak of!

I mean no offense but... How old is everyone? This seems like it was blown out of proportion at several different points.

First the player killing another for little to no reason.

Second the Out of Game huff that led to a breakdown when it should have been calmly discussed. At worse you have a rerolled character or a retcon.

Third is the weird disparity in levels that leads me to believe this is a young group.

My advice... remind the group this is supposed to be fun. That is is a game. And that a game should not impact a real friendship... even one that has just started. Gamers are rare. The older you get the harder it is to find a great group of friends to enjoy it with. People get jobs, get married, move off, ect. Don't let a potential life long gaming friend leave...

We are all over 25 and most have been playing for several years. I am the n00b in the group and am into only my 2nd year of playing.

As previously said, the level disparity was due to a combination of new characters to this perticular adventure and a migration of characters from other games into this one. It does seem a bit messy but it worked out until the unexpected attack and death of the PC.

Consider a hoof raised.

So.... they suck out our brain for benefit, do we get the same in return if we consume their brain? (this is just for fun btw. we killed one in battle today and thought, "hey we should eat it! who doesn't love some callimari?")

I'm assuming he wants to watch this thread, therefore he needs to post in it so it shows up when he looks at "dotted" threads.

yes indeed that was my intention. guess i could have said something to that effect. thanks for clearing that up for me gbonehead.

Excellent! I dropped a buck-fifty in the tip jar and picked this up and I have to say, wow nicely done. Many of the spells in here are in books/pdfs I own so this makes it very easy to find just the right spell and which book its in. Thanks for putting this together and to the other 3pp for allowing their content to be included.

Excellent info everyone. Thanks for the direction. My friend shall have all the ferrets she can handle now.

There is an Elf with a bunch of what appear to be ferrets on page 77 of Ultimate Magic. One of my fellow players needs one (or more) and I am unsure as to exactly what they are or where I can find stats/info on it. I realize there isn't info on that exact creature from the art, but anything equivalent will be super!

Krazy Kragnar's Kompiled Katalogue - Yes, the First Goblin of Economical Mayhem should see print with all three products combined into a single book.

This would be fantastic! I totally understand wanting to keep the "Loot 4 Less" book with the rest of it's siblings, it would be cool to have all 3 of that goblin's books together.

The Genius Guide to Loot 4 Less: Volume 7—Krazy Kragnar's Used Chariots

Krazy Kragnar's Alchemical Surplus Shop

Krazy Kragnar's Black Market Magic Items

Excellent. I shall investigate both options.

So I have a dwarf that loves gadgets and I am in need of more for him to choose from. Any suggestions as to which books/PDFs have some things I can look over? He currently has a musket and 2 pistols, along with an ornithopter for travel. The plan is for he and is group to come across a factory where gnomes are a busy creating all sorts of weird techie/gadgety stuff but keeping with the fantasy style.

Thanks!

Agreed. My last 3 characters all had hooves and I would love to see more things for them.
