This sounds really interesting. Yeah most of us players would be utter nerds. I know how to do a bit of basic do it yourself stuff but I certainly would not think I could build a house on my own or anything.

The gender and race changing would be fun I found even as a male myself I play females most often when I play games, and no not because I play slutty characters. So if I woke up in a female body I would be... confused but curious why that happened.

They seem to want me to focus on building through illusion spells the assassin angle is half fluff and half crunch

So I was asked for help by the GM.
Currently we are playing on Discord and the group is split in Three.

So they ask me if I could help them out and build a character for them to use during one of the branches (Not my own).

30 pt buy
Elf
Level 14
Gestalt

What they wanted as an illusionist assassin style character.
I was thinking Slayer//Sorcerer with a focus on illusion spells. But I am given more freedom to adapt what classes to use and so forth. They want them built like a proper PC to make them a viable threat should the rp turn that direction.

Any advice on which class makes the best illusionist? I am thinking Slayer is a solid off-side with full BaB 6+Int skills and Assassinate talent makes a damn fine assassin.

What is the best school to select with an Amulet of Magecraft?
This item allows a Wizard to spontaneously switch his prepared spells with spells of that school of the appropriate level.

Which blood mutation was it?

And I agree I don't think Emergency Attunement was intended to bypass the FAQ either they forgot they had that one or just didn't think of that as an option.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

What about this Emergency Attunement

Its my understanding Paragon Surge is a Transmutation spell right?

Also thanks for all the advise!

But didn't they FAQ Paragon Surge?

Hello all,

My name is Kue and I was looking into an online game and have found myself running into an issue. The game will be around lvl 10 or by the time I take part.

I like playing spontaneous casters because they feel more natural. But I have gotten a little bored of using them as my default casters.

So I took to looking at other casters and just how flexible they really are.

The Arcanist is semi-prepared with his Quick Study exploit he really can adapt almost on the spot.

But what about the Wizard with Fast Study, and the Flexible Wizardry feats? (Total of four fear investment)

Then someone pointed out the Exploiter Wizard and that he can gain the Quick Study exploit on top of the others.

Would a Wizard with Quick Study exploit, Fast Study Discovery, Flexible Wizardry, and Improved Flexible Wizardry be as adaptive or spontaneous as a Sorcerer, Oracle, or Psychic?

Is it worth the heavy feat investment?
