I have been playing since '79. I am currently 44.
My players, I always GM (the lazy bastards), are 46, 45, and 27. I was very amused when I realized the young one was born the year I graduated from highschool. He was less amused about the big deal I made of it.
I just checked again and now we are only 8 votes away.

Same thing.
26 votes away from first place.
I mean to tie for first.

I finally started running RotR last Saturday and used your song during play. It was a big hit. Thanks again for posting it.
I'm glad to see it's not just me.
I've tried ie and firefox. Both are slow for me.

I was too late again. :-)
“Quick pull down his pants and grab his sling!”
(Actual in game statement. It was quite a while before we could continue the game.)

If my players start telling people that it appears Nualia is behind the goblin attack Hannah (45) will come forward with what she knows. She was the midwife that pulled the monstrous creature from Nualia's womb. Once Hannah hears that Nualia is alive and connected to the goblin attack it becomes apparent to her that she must have set the fire in the church.
At the time of the fire she told the then new sheriff Hemlock that Nualia had to be dead because she was too sick to move. (I'm unsure if she would use the term 'coma') She didn't mention the pregnancy at the time because it just wasn't useful. Hannah may even tell them that Nualia seemed very angry and hateful.
Of course its also possible that the sheriff will remember what Hannah told him and seek her out.
I don't sleep well when I am hot and apparently I thrash around and keep my wife awake too. So we keep the house cold enough for me to sleep which means my wife has to have an electric blanket all year long.

I refrained, though, and instead just posted it here.
HORSEY!!!

Or is it a magic rune that isn't actually part of the language? It's not part of the language; it's a symbol and/or logo. An alien who came to Earth and learned English wouldn't immediately understand what the Paizo Logo meant, for example. That's what I thought or hoped for.
Thanks!

What god or gods would lizardfolk be partial too?
I was thinking Gozreh since the liazardfolk seem favor the druid class.
Slightly unrelated: I have a small problem with Gozreh's name. Every time I see it I immediately think of Ghostbuster's and their evil god Gozer. I know it's just me.

The prices are pretty decent, but the kicker is flat rate shipping of $3, no matter the order. Not having to pay shipping for each figure when you order 50 is awesome, let me tell ya. Thanks for that link!
I just wish I hadn't made a mini order this morning.
*heavy sigh*
Before I started visiting the Paizo boards I never paid any attention to who wrote what as far as my adventures went. But now that it seems so easy to interact with the writers and get more info directly from them I have been keeping a close eye who writes what.
That said, yes I am very interested to see what the infamous Nicolas Logue does with a sci fi setting.
I may not be able to run it for years but I definitely want to read it.
Dragonchess Player wrote: Make sure you take into account that lizardfolk have two racial HD and a +1 LA. A lizardfolk without class levels starts at ECL 3.
As far as classes go, lizardfolk make decent druids, but are better in a martial role (barbarian, fighter, paladin, ranger). The natural armor is a great benefit for classes with armor restrictions, also.
I've only got three players so we are trying out gestalt characters and bumping up their power a bit. One of the players will be have an aasimar character. The other player is just going to bump his levels til things even out.
The lizardfolk player is thinking druid/sorcerer.
On the role-playing front I thought it would be amusing to have the humans annoyed by the lizardfolk smelling like pond water. So they are politely asked to bathe or shower. I would imagine reptiles would learn to love a nice hot shower on a cold morning and be very appreciative of this suggestion.
One of my players is considering playing a lizardfolk character.
My initial thoughts:
The lizardfolk have been fighting the boggards seemingly forever. They have decided that they need to ally with the humans before it is too late.
Lizardfolk would make great pearl divers so maybe they offer pearls to the humans as incentive to enter into this alliance.
As part of the alliance agreement some lizardfolk have gone to various human settlements to learn of how they live and vice versa. I'm assuming some rangers would love to learn from the lizardfolk.
And of course the PC is one of the ones that was sent to Sandpoint.
Anyone got any other ideas on what the lizardfolk could bring to this table?
Or any thoughts good or bad on having a reptile character?
Yup, me too. Never had a problem with the font size.
I am disappointed by this news.
So, 7 it is for me.
But if we have to lose something the journal.

I can only hope none of that stuff hurt your looking parts.
I have seen references to Ben Wootten's artwork a few times but wasn't what was yours before now. I am now officially a Ben Wootten fan.
However, I don't think I'll be the one to start the Woot for Wootten campaign. (would be amusing though)

Or maybe the different symbols of Sin behind some of the larger sections? You, sir, are brilliant! I'll see what I can do this weekend to make it happen :D
That does sound cool!

And yes I drive by ORU all the time.
(It seems when you go out of the US and mention Tulsa, OK they immediately bring up ORU. That's what my wife told me. I don't get out much.)
Demiurge 1138 wrote: My Rise of the Runelords game is going along nicely enough, with the party just clearing out the Catacombs of Wrath last session (it's quite pleasant running an entire dungeon in a single session - I shouldn't get used to it). But now, there's talk of the party arcanist, a Shoanti war-mystic (wu-jen/warmage) moving in. It has clean water! A floating room! And everyone seems to think it's a pretty good idea. It'd give them a permanent base in Sandpoint, after all. They'd pay Ameiko for the property, and make sure the workers at the refurbished Glassworks knew what was going on when they came out and went in.
But, of course, there's lots of talk of the Catacombs being returned to in Sins of the Saviors. Hints that the Scribbler's restless spirit will manifest.
What should I do? Should I foreshadow that the Catacombs are a Bad Place? Or should I let them have it? And I should assume that the dungeon opens up more at some point when they're not at home, right?
I am assuming that the PC's won't be able to open the rest of the complex until they find something specific. I would let them move in.
But if anybody tries to sleep in the Scribbler's levitation room I would give them vicious terrible nightmares.
This is priceless info guys!
My main problem is one of my players is a ranger and had to meet Daviren Hosk (38 - Goblin Squash Stables). He made a great Sense Motive roll and figured out that something was fishy so he came back in the night and made great search roll. I felt compelled to let him find the undead goblins.
Luckily it was at the end of the session so I've got a little time to figure out how to handle it.
Me too please. If it's not too much trouble.

and thanks!
One of my players has these for his latest character...
*Can read and write the Thassilon language but was never taught it.
*Has an "imaginary" friend that gives him advice and sometimes knows more than his imagination should know.
Lilith wrote: Here's something to start with. (I might have a succubi picture by the weekend.) I am kinda glad I won't be running RotR till January because of all this great stuff people are coming up with to use.
Thanks Lilith!
My group and I discussed 4E D&D and decided that we don't want to change.
We play once a month and will be finishing The Savage Tide at the end of this year then we will start The Rise of the Runelords. With a once a month game we will be playing this for some time. After that I plan to continue running Paizo products till the end of time.
If Paizo changes to 4E we will probably follow but we would be happier if we didn't have to buy a bunch of new rulebooks to stay Paizo faithful.
Excellent stuff! I'll be using your art in my game too.
I am really hoping that you can find more spare time to make more of these. :-)
13th level is about as high as my group usually wants to play. After that it seems to be more work than play. So I like the idea of the path ending at 15th.
But I have been buying everything Paizo has been publishing so I think I'll be able to run the game after 15th level if need be.
Interesting... mines a spider.
Her name is Eumelia.
My wife's gonna hate that.
This looks like a fabulous movie.
I didn't know anything about it till I saw this thread. Thanks for the info. :-)
I looked but didn't see a pronunciation for Sihedron.
I am predominantly B.
But if Paizo changes to 4E I'll come along with a minimum of grumbling.
And I agree with Steve Greer when he said, What?! to firevalkyrie.
I have never seen the things he/she was describing.
No, Thank You!
Everything about Paizo is just awesome from their products to customer service. No only did I get a response in less than 24 hours but it was personal and obviously not some kinda form letter.
I love you guys!
Phew! Maybe that will cover my embarrassment.
I'll go take a nap now.
Dearest Customer Service Ninja, on Sept 6th I placed order #801679, apparently I was suffering from sleep depravation and I bundled three items together that come out at different times.
I would actually prefer each item to come to me the moment it is released. :-)
Is it possible to do this or is it to late?
I do realize this will cost me more in shipping but I am sure it will be worth it.
Mosaic wrote: Selk wrote: You know, I think Thassilon would stand a good chance of having paper money. With Xin's magic being in the written word, government issued notes would have amazing veracity. A Xin-blessed print plate could make a note warded vs. forgery, rot and loss. That'd be damn funny too, "You open the chest and find...a pile magically preserved banknotes from a dead empire!" That would be funny but The Portal of Greed(E5) on level two of the Thistletop Dungeon requires gold coins to open it. And the door itself appears to be a stack of gold coins. Apparently some of the runelords still believed in the use of coins.
Very well done. A fun read.
I sure hope you can write some more.
None here either.
I ran an evil campaign once. Everybody played evil well. Long story short... backstabbing led to real backstabbing and PC killing PC and a lot of hard feeling followed.
We lost a player for a long time after that.
I am extremely unlikely to do that again.
I almost hate to ask but I am curious about the "and beyond" part of the title now. Surely our adventurers will eventually dig up some coinage from the previous empires.
Did King Xin have his own coinage he had minted?
Did the seven runlords have their own as well?
Mostly I'm hoping somebody will work out cool designs so that I can steal them and take all the credit. :-)
Hey! I wanted to know more about the Peacock Spirit.
Eyebite wrote: If a PC successfully drinks the stuff, I might even be tempted to throw a permanent "+1 to saves against nausea/sickness" their way.
Just a fun little benny for actually drinking it, that wouldn't be unbalancing.
That's a fun idea. I'll do that too.

Nicolas, you were absolutely right! Dreamcatching by James Sutter is an excellent story. I'm glad you provided a link so that I could check it out. I guess that's a vote for Nicolas Logue... wait...
Awesome work Selk!
Thanks for designing the currency for my new campaign.
:-)
*cough, cough* *gag*
That video puts it in to much better perspective.
Thanks!
Thanks for the very thorough response Majuba!
I think I will use your DC:18 suggestion.
I want it very difficult but possible and the 9% chance works well for that.
I will also be assigning a circumstance penalty if they fail and decide they want to try it again... at least that same evening.
I know a lot of people that won't eat something because they threw up after eating it before.
