Thalasou feels a bit awkward once everyone starts the social mingling. He's always felt out of sorts in these sorts of situations but it seems that they are inevitable. He spots the priest who is also standing alone and approaches him.
"Hello, Chief Enumerator Abrun Palliettor? Do I have that correct? I am Thalasou Eidelhan. You may have seen me with the group of newcomers. I'm with them. And you know. Well, maybe you didn't know, but when I was a baby I lives in a church. I guess it was a temple. For Alseta. You know of her, right?"

Thanks. I'm ready to move forward. Tested positive for COVID. Been symptomatic for a couple days. This thing really zaps your energy but I'll try to keep up.

Total: 16555 So I'm about 7k short. But I do have that relic crossbow. Would it be ok if I improve my armor to a +2 chain shirt and get an amulet of natural armor +1? That adds 6150 to my value.
Ok. So I should calculate my total wealth without Dignity's Barb and then make adjustments to catch up to WBL (assuming I'm behind). Sounds good. I'm traveling today (heading home from a vacation in Maui so it's an all day affair) so I may not be able to get it done today.
If I understand correctly I should calculate my total wealth that I have now and then compare that to the WBL then add anything I need to match WBL. I need to know the value of Dignity's Barb. Also, Sara, did you find a way to see the total wealth in HLO?
When Sara offers the honeycake, Thalasou's face grows more red but he takes it. "Thanks," he whispers. "I had a little trouble there at the table." He takes a couple bites and tries to act normal as Bimble asks more questions of Martella. Once the cake is finished he whispers to Sara again. "When do you think we'll be leaving for this trip? It does all seem rather strange, those guys going missing and all. I bet there's something fishy going on."
At first, the name Yanmass brings nothing to mind for Thalasou but when Aerith mentions it, he recalls hearing of the city, or is it a region. He only knows it's far away. Bimble confirms with a brief rundown of the travel route. Capricia seems to know a bit about Prince Carrius -- again, someone he's barely heard about. The smell of the honeycakes on the small table at the side of the room makes Thalasou's stomach rumbles. He gets up as inconspicuously as possible and heads to the table. It looks very fancy. A white table cloth covers it while fine porcelain dishes and platters are placed neatly to present honeycakes and tea. Thalasou reaches for a couple honeycakes from the platter. Normally honeycakes are a little dry but these ones, no doubt made by the finest bakers in the region, glisten with a sweet syrup saturating the light golden sponge. The cakes stick a little to the plate as he takes a couple and balances them on the fingertips of his left hand, avoiding touching them as much as possible. A couple sticky drops of syrup fall into his palm. He considers for a moment then grabs another of the small cakes and stacks it on top of the other two. Then he notices the pot of tea. The tray holding the dainty tea cups is on the other side of the table, almost out of his reach. Thalasou stretches and leans over the table. He is barely able to reach a cup and the stack of cakes balanced in his hand wobbles precariously but he manages to grab a small cup and move it to the table in front of him. Taking the tea pot, he starts to pour and as the steaming black tea starts to flow out of the teapot, the lid of the teapot slides and starts to fall. Realizing too late that he also needs to hold the lid while pouring, Thalasou swings his left hand to hold the lid. The sudden action causes the balanced cakes to fall. The sticky cakes hit the edge of the half filled porcelain teacup before splatting on the table. The impact tips over the half-filled teacup, spilling brown liquid all over the white tablecloth. Thalasou freezes for a second and his face flushes red immediately. He stares at the mess on the table and then glances side to side to see if anyone noticed what he did. He tries to cover it up as best as possible then retreats back to his seat without any cakes or tea. Maybe no one will notice.

Am I correct that the Enhanced Cures revelation would not apply when casting CLW from a wand that I purchased?
Sorry. Still working on it. Having software issues. I use HeroLab and am trying to transfer everything to HeroLab Online. Can't seem to get it to work with my classic license. I've got a note into support. If I can't get it to work soon I'll just do it the hard way.

"Really? You've never been up here?" Thalasou cocks his head to the side with a curious look. "Why not? And that creature seemed to know you. How would it know you if you hadn't been up here?"
Thalasou shudders as the creature's mental assault threatens to overwhelm him. But he closes his eyes and raises his arms and connecting with his spiritual guide. He pauses for a second speaks out in a loud voice. A wave of magical energy radiates from him. His companions feel more courageous.
Seeing Capricia wrestling the sleeping bodies, Thalasou moves in to help. He finds the remaining portion of his cut rope in his bag and hands it over. "Here is something we can use to tie these guys up."
Thalasou scans the situation and sees that the lady is casting a spell. He quickly casts a spell of deafness on her.
Thalasou trails behind the group hoping that one of them knows where they should go. He looks from side to side and behind himself frequently, nervous that someone may spot them.
"Aren't we also supposed to destroy the teleportation circle? After that, I think that Her Royal Highness will be able to take over this property. Then we'll have plenty of time to go through these books."
"We still need to find that teleporting circle. Any ideas where it might be?"

Thalasou tries to hold back a giggle. "Really? They replaced Martella with a dog. Like you said Bimble. She wouldn't like that."
"This is a fancy office and some nice paintings. Those are all nobles, right? They don't look very happy. And I wonder what that dog is doing there." Thalasou steps closer to the portrait to examine it.
Thalasou rummages through the papers in the archive room but doesn't notice anything interesting.
Thalasou takes a few moments to calm down before he speaks. "You're so right, Bimble. Capricia, that was awesome."
Thalasou loads another bolt in the crossbow and fires again.
Thalasou doesn't hesitate. He pulls up the crossbow, aims, and fires.
Thalasou trudges along behind. His anxiety grows and he expects that at any moment a whole unit of guards will come walking down one of the hallways and attack them all.
Thalasou stays well out of blast range of the door while Sara checks it out and opens it. Inside the room he helps the others search. "A SOUP spoon!!!" Sara says in true and deep wonder. "I was hoping for the teleportation circle but this is worth the delay." "What do you mean 'soup spoon'?" With a little magical detection, Thalasou figures it out and his eyes grow wide. "This is amazing. You know what would be even better? How about a dessert spoon." Thalasou grins eagerly.
After getting a quick peak inside the room, Thalasou waits out in the hallway. He trusts that Capricia and Sara can find whatever needs to be found in the office. There are three uninvestigated doors and a stairway leading from this hallway. At any point someone could stumble across them. That thought sends a surge of anxiety through his chest. He turns to the others who are with him in the hall. "Maybe we should all join Sara and Capricia and then shut the door. I saw that there is a door leading out the other side of the office. We can go explore that with a minimal chance of someone spotting us."
"Oh yes. Of course." Thalasou steps up to Sara and touches her on the shoulder while saying a few words of divine magic. "There you go."
"That was quick." Thalasou glanced over his companions to see who needed healing. "It looks like none of you even got a scratch. You guys are good!" Next he helps Capricia move the bodies into a side room then he searches through their pockets, belts and bags.
Thalasou loads another bolt in the crossbow. This time, before pulling the level to fire the weapon, he takes careful aim.

Thalasou glances at the slumbering count then back to Sara. "I can do that. But I think I can also be of help with this thing," he replies quietly while taking Dignity's Barb and loading a bolt in it.
Thalasou shakes his head. "I'm afraid that I don't know any magic of that sort."
While the others search the rest of the room and Sara moves through the far door, Thalasou takes a moment to try to figure out the magic in the count's items.
Thalasou looks a little shocked at Sara's suggestion. "You want to cut my rope up into pieces. But... but. Then it wouldn't be fifty feet long anymore. What if we need something that long?" His objections peter out as he realizes that it doesn't really matter. He can always buy another rope.
"Here. I can help." Thalasou fetches a coil of rope from his backpack and starts to tie up the sleeping guard. "That should keep him secure until we are ready to go. But I do want to come back and get my rope."
Thalasou quickly loads a bolt into the relic crossbow and aims at the guard straight in front of him.
Seeing others jump into action, Thalasou takes a few hasty steps forward then stops. He doesn't want to get too close.
Thalasou tries to play the part of a servant. He's not sure if Lotheed has noticed him or not. Seeing Sara run off and the others making subtle preparations for battle, Thalasou himself starts to get nervous.
Sounds like we're attacking. I'll support from the back.
