I'm sorry for the silence. I've been struggling with a lot of RL issues lately.
I've also been struggling with what to do here. I'm afraid I'm going to have to step away as well. I've really enjoyed the game, but I am just not finding the time and passion to stay engaged with everything else going on.
Right now, I don't have a RL table game for a multitude of reasons, and those same reasons would make it tough to do VVT as well.
I hope the rest of you do continue the game, and I hope to stop in one in a while and read the further adventures of some of my favorite characters I've played across the table with.
When Cobblepaw poked his head out of Tauni's satchel, she scratched his head absently. "Stay safe in there, my friend." In the back of her mind, she considered leaving Cobblepaw behind given the increasing dangers they faced. Part of her also considered ways to keep him less vulnerable so he could stay with her. She waited for Raine or Avelina to say it was okay to enter before she started casting spells in preparation.
Currently, the base value for purchasing magic items is 2200 gp. This means there is a 75% chance per week that any item of this cost or less can be obtained. The more expensive items would not generally be available. They could be obtained by traveling to a bigger city, like Nerosyan, if you can teleport there. The highest level of spellcaster for hire in the city is 5th level, so no one will be able to cast teleport for you, but you might be able to find a scroll. A teleport spell scroll would cost 1125 gp.
You could buy a scroll of teleport and send someone to Nerosyan with your wealth to look for more the more expensive items. Once there, you could hire a spellcaster to return you to Drezen.
While I don't have teleport in my spellbook, I believe I could use Wild Arcana to cast it. Two uses of mythic power to get there and back again.
I do have craft wondrous items. Can I find crafting materials here, or do I need to go to a larger city for that?
Tauni has a +2 cloak from before. In addition, if we have too few +2 cloaks to go around, she can craft one for 2,000 gp.
For her 3rd tier, Tauni will take transformative familiar for her path ability, and for her feat, she'll take another path ability: arcane potency.
I've been re-reading the rules on mythic play. For some reason, I thought we got another die of hit points with each mythic tier, but I'm not finding that anywhere now. Am I just remembering wrong on that?
I also flagged a couple of things on the spreadsheet as being things Tauni would be interested in. I don't think anything conflicts with stuff anyone else has claimed yet.
Thanks for your patience, everyone. I've actually got a couple of days off, and that's helping with an attitude adjustment for me. A lot.
Sorry for the slowness. I should have some time tomorrow to devote to sorting out gear/shopping. If I fail to do so, that's on me and I don't want to hold us up.
You're not the only one. I'll try to look at it tomorrow as well.
I could use all of Chorussina's gear: scroll of dimension door, scroll of dispel magic. mwk dagger, cloak of resistance +2, headband of vast intelligence +2 (grants ranks in Sense Motive), ring of forcefangs, ring of protection +2.
Tauni readied her wand again, leveling it at the shadow creature. She didn't aim it; she didn't need to. Instead, she merely invoked the power of the magic item and the wand did the rest.
Tauni watched as the demon avoided Ellena's brave assault, moving as swiftly as mercury. She spoke the words of a spell, hoping to restrict it from doing so next time.
Casting slow on the demon. It gets a DC 21 will save to negate, if I beat its spell resistance 1d20 + 9 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 9 + 4 = 28
Tauni stretched out her hand, waving a path across the west side of the room. Following the line of her hand, a sheet of stone cuts across the room like a curtain being pulled across a window.
I'm going to delay my action until the others go. I may try to wall off some of the stones, but I don't want to stop others from destroying any first. Or if others get most of them destroyed, I may take a shot at the last one.
Tauni's eye grew wind in realization. "There's still a shadow demon here! It tried to possess Karas!"
GM's room description wrote:
The room was huge with high ceilings. It was thirty feet north to south at the west end, and gradually got wider as it went east. Even those with darkvision could not see the easternmost side of the room. Six alcoves were carved into the north and south walls. Each contained a large, jagged purple crystal on a pedestal. The alcoves, pedestals, and crystals became progressively larger toward the east. Crystals are size small, medium, and large.
"Quick! Destroy the crystals before it can cast again! One of them holds the demon's essence!"
Casting haste on the team, hoping to give them enough attacks to hit all of the crystals.
When the gas exploded out, Tauni jerked away from it. But she couldn't stop an involuntary gasp, taking in just enough of the gas to send her into coughing spasms. The betrayal by Karas brought her right out of it.
Prescience 1d20 ⇒ 17
"Karas, no!"
Tauni darted up next to Anarya, reaching out to touch Karas as she did.
I am going to try and cast protection from evil on Karas. Not sure if it will help, but at least it shouldn't hurt. I'm guessing he's not going to just let me, so a touch attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20.
Edit: That touch roll looks pretty good, so I am going to hold the prescience roll in case I need it for a save.
Tauni cast a spell that she hoped would make short work of the vile swarm.
Casting lightning arc. She'll anchor it at the wall D3 and D12. It does 9d6 ⇒ (5, 2, 2, 6, 3, 1, 6, 5, 4) = 34 electrical damage. DC23 reflex save for half damage.
Tauni readied a wand and leveled it at the remaining shadow. Three shards of arcane force shot from the implement, striking the shadow despite its incorporeal state.
Ready and use wand of magic missiles, damage 3d4 + 3 ⇒ (2, 4, 4) + 3 = 13.
Tauni pointed a finger at the shadow demon, willing the very universe around her to not allow it to escape. Silver light responded, coalescing around her outstretched hand. The beam darted out, searching for the demon.
Burning another mythic use to cast extended piercing force anchor, targeting the shadow demon.
The darkness does seem to have been dispelled - for now. I'm hoping it stays gone!
True, but I'm not sure if generating the darkness is something it can do at will, or limited times. I'm trying to have a contingency if it brings it back up.
My next thought was to cast echolocation on Karas and Ellena. I don't have enough mythic power left to do it on everyone, but I could at least get it on the two main melee characters. Maybe Raine as well?
Belatedly-- we'll see how things play out, but Echolocation is a smart, cool idea. I could do decent damage if I could see, albeit halved.
Thanks. It can be challenging when the entire spell list is at your disposal with Wild Arcana. From the the GM said, I followed the thread of rules and I think he's right; echolocation won't work for something incorporeal.
That being said, I think I've got another idea. Maybe a bit of a long shot, but I'll try it on my turn. :)

Tauni raised a hand and, with an arcane phrase, sent arcane energy surging out to her friends.
Casting haste. I don't think I could get Karas since I couldn't see him, so no need to run forward to try and get him in the area. I can catch everyone else with it.
Thanks! Seeing that Karas stopped his charge short, Tauni darted forward so that the tendrils of her magic could reach him as well. Moved her on the map.
Then there is also the "specific beats general" rule. If the module has language for the encounter that says daylight won't counter it, then that takes precedence over the spell descriptions.

Tauni finished running up the side of the pit, and came up behind Karas. She laid both hands on the back of his breastplate and growled "It is time to let your silver soul shine, my friend."
Tauni moves and uses a swift action and mythic power to cast with Wild Arcana. She casts brightest light on Karas' breastplate.
While she was careful not to crowd Raine, Tauni crept up behind the ranger to use her own Abadar blessed gaze to peek into the room. I believe extended see invisible and extended arcane sight are still up and running for her.
In a hushed voice, Tauni called out to Raine. "There," she said, pointing to the southern alcove. "Behind the statue of Deskari. Is that another passage?"
"Hold on a moment. I think I have a way to get us all down."And back up again, if necessary. She concentrates for a moment, touching each of the companions in turn. As her touch pulls away from each person, they noticed that her fingers seemed sticky.
Using a mythic power to cast communal spider climb. Duration ten minutes each except Karas, Raine and Ellena, who get twenty minutes each.
She demonstrates quickly how to use the power of the spell on the wall of the tunnel. "Try not to think about it too much. Just run where you want to, and let the magic take care of the details of sticking and unsticking."
"Perhaps not. Should the banner be bathed in evocation magic? It could be a trap, like a fireball. And the small alcoves, there is some illusion magic there. It could be covering some sort of guardians."
Tauni stepped up closer to the entrance, and cast a spell on herself that caused her eyes to flare with blue light. She looked around the room below intently.
She already extended see invisible going, and now she is adding extended arcane sight to the mix. Perception 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (17) + 16 = 33
I barely used any spells during that, and didn't take damage, so I'm good to proceed. If others who were more involved in actually defeating the salamanders does want to break, I am certainly willing to wait.
Finding herself quickly at the forge floor, Tauni ran next to Avelina. Seeing the remaining salamanders there, something touches her heart.Instead of unleashing an icy fury apoun them, she calls out to them.
Ignan:
"Why do you fight us? Do you serve here of your own accord, loyal to the demon hordes?"
She'll delay, to see if they answer with words or violence.
Edit: By delay, I mean not cast immediately. She'll ready an action to cast ice storm on them if they attack.
Tauni bit her lip as she watched Raine start her descent. With a last glance back the way they came, she tries to put the incessant whispers out of her mind as she too begins to make her way down. Double move to go down.
I was kind of waiting to see if Raine knocked some down to close to dead so I might be able to finish one off. There are still three off map, right? If so...
Tauni watched to see if more of the salamanders reemerged to join the fray, ready with an arcane surprise if they did.
Ready action to cast [url=https://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic/all-spells/i/ice-storm/]ice storm if one or more salamanders enter the area. Damage 3d6 ⇒ (3, 5, 6) = 14 bludgeoning and 2d6 ⇒ (5, 1) = 6 cold.
Not in the lift, and will renew her ready action for the next round; if a salamander charges those stuck in the lift as it descends, she'll cast grease on its weapon.
