Kreim is a bustling city-state overlooking the Sea of Mists atop a towering cliffside. Trade roads lead down to the port-city Meland that serves as a trade hub and defense against attackers from the sea for Kreim while tall city walls guard from land-bound invading forces.

The majority of the city's architecture is human, but with some dwarven and even elven influence in some sectors. The City Hall, Averin's Keep, is built of shaped stone, inlaid with mithral filigree and topped with a reinforced wooden roof. The Hall, or Keep, features its own walls, behind which are hidden some of the most impressive craftswork in the shape of statues and even a variety of murals upon the inner walls. A large fountain holds the center and is the first thing one sees when entering the grounds. It is a statue of the founder of Kreim, Averin Valisaren. Said to be an unrivaled warrior of great charisma who lead an army across the vast deserts and finally to Kreim, defeating all who opposed him. Jets of water stream up and out from the center, to give the illusion of a cylindrical-like shape that is spinning in place.

Known for its export of fish and pearls, Kreim is a wealthy city. Though there are districts that have fallen to chaos and slum as it grew in size and population. Another well-known attribute of the city is the rumors of corruption of the local government of late.

However chaotic Kreim and Meland might be, they unite under pressure from opposing forces and no such force has yet to breach their walls, or defeat the port-fortress of Meland or its grand fleet of ships. The army at Kreim's command is legion, and many of its officers have earned a reputation among rival lords as brutal and unforgiving warriors.

And possibly more sinister than a corrupt government with command of a grand army, a darker, deeper secret lies in the core of Kreim. A network of portals to other worlds, where only the greatest of fighters are posted as safeguards against possible invasion. Whispers of rumors trickle down to the common folk of alien creatures and people walking the streets at night.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

In the bowels of Kreim, deep within Averin's Keep a guard stands vigilant at the Shadow Portal. A tall man, apparently human, adorned in finely made, blue-tinted scale armor and a great halberd upon his back stands ready in the center of the room.

The circular room is well-lit with torches upon the wall, with doors leading in each direction, north, east, west and south. Each of these is a portal to different locations on the Shadow Plane. It has been long since any disturbances here, but the guard stands vigilant.

There was a silence here, and a darkness just beyond the edges of perception that bore down on ones will. Extended periods of time here have often resulted in guards going mad with fear, and abandoning their post. Kelen Thenys, the guard currently posted has lasted longer than all of them. And even when the lights shimmer and die around him, his poise holds strong as he assumes a ready stance, drawing his halberd with both hands as he waits and listens.

Private Recruitment via Discussion.

Creation Rules:
Players will begin play at 20th level.
30 point buy.
2 traits, no Drawbacks.
Max HP on first level, pfs (Half+con) for the remainder.
No gunslingers, no evil, no evil pretending to be neutral.
You may take templates, spending one class level per CR. Only one template per character.
All Paizo races and classes and prestige classes allowed excluding playest and the Kasatha, Wyrwood, and Androids. It's fantasy, not Sci-Fi.

A detailed background will be required for each character, depicting who they are as an individual, their achievements, where they live, what they do for a living, their hopes and dreams, how they survived and achieved the power that they now command at 20th level. How they fit into their community. In all the region, there might only be a handful of people 15th level and above. Make it good.

This will be a Mythic campaign.

2-3 players is my max for this game and I already have one player. 1-2 spots are open. For your submissions, do not make your character! Simply give me a brief explanation of your race/class/role and your character's background, with a brief role-play of a commoner that might have met your character in the past.

Bid your interest, if it's there. If not, I'll poop in your shoes.

Myrialis Termina is a full-scale, epic fantasy adventure of my own making. Players will travel the world, journey across the planes of existence to rid the world of a great threat to all creation. You have been summoned by a group that refers to themselves as the Keepers to deal with some as of yet unknown enemy. Natural and magical phenomena have been occurring throughout the land. People have gone missing, demons and other extraplanar beings have been pouring out of rifts between worlds and causing mayhem. Entire countrysides have changed, evolved into something entirely different, mountains leveled, oceans now forests, lush fields into barren wastelands or volatile and hostile lands such as volcanoes.. Magical storms ravage the land and the masses are at a breaking point. The fear has driven them to the very edge of chaos. Something must be done.

Thus you have been chosen. A letter arrives by courier, pleeing for your assistance. Your exemplary services to your home and past achievements making you into the prime choices in which the people to place their hopes.

Letter:
Please forgive that the request we must make of you could not be done in person, circumstances demand of each of us some degree of caution, as we have made some powerful enemies in our search for an answer to the troubles of our time. After you read this letter, we encourage that you destroy it, lest the Adversary catch wind of our intent.

There will be a meet at the broken temple of Ashava just outside Korvosa in one week's time. One of our asscociates will wait for you there and will guide you to us upon arrival. His name is Kellex.

We know that this may seem quite far-fetched, but we ask that you place your faith in us and come to the meet, hear what we have to say.

We look forward to your swift and safe arrival in Korvosa.

Beneath the last line was a strange, arcane symbol written in what seems to be true silver. It depicts the figure of a man, arms outstretched before a great sphere that as you examine it, begins to radiate black energy. The request to destroy the letter after reading it springs to mind.

The world you know has changed. Things linger on the very edges of your sight, keeping to the shadows. Others around you take no notice, and criticize any attempts to explain with accusations of insanity or dismissal. For the last few days, you've each felt as if you've been followed, as if some shadow stalked your every move.

An assembly in the Caspian Convention Center draws your attention, a man by the name of Alex Grayson will be addressing the very things you yourself have been experiencing and other things besides. Sightings of faeries, people going missing or attacked by strange creatures. You dismiss it at first, but as your own feelings become more disturbed, for your own various reasons you decide to attend and see what it may bring.

Kn Local DC 10:
Alex hosts many such events here in Caspian, including other social events such as dances, concerts and parties, many of which attract a substantial amount of publicity.

Kn Local DC 15:
This type of event is a new venture for Alex, and past events had mixed reactions within the local community. His position has always been rather neutral, more of a news broadcast more than a problem solver.

Kn Local DC 20:
Alex lives alone on Summerfield Boulevard where he hosts private gatherings of an unknown variety that do not garner the same publicity as others.

You arrive before the large double glass doors of the convention center. You can see the large crowd that had gathered inside. The line had died down quite a bit, as you are a bit later than you would like. As you walk through, the doorman hands you a pamphlet with Alex's picture on it. The title, "Caspian and its Darkest Secrets" in bold at the top. You are ushered through and directed to a seat surprisingly toward the front. You are seated next to each other, Alex seeming close to the finish line of his current topic. Faeries.

"-sightings of these Faeries seem to be nothing more than rumormongering."

There is an excited uproar as a surprising number of audience members immediately outrage at the denial. The volume is intense, and you find it difficult to follow any one individual.

Dot here mine friends with your aliases and lets get this party started. :)

This is a private pbp with some friends, but feel free to follow us if it catches your interest.

We've all seen the various films, read the stories. All those things that go bump in the night and the rush of fear as you realize that it's real. The chill as that silken soft voice gives life to all of your fears, and hidden fantasies.

Greetings everyone! I'm developing a world-building, vampire themed campaign as my first DM project here on the Paizo forums and would like to extend my invitation to all who might be interested to check this out as I flesh out all the kinks.

I've always been fascinated with vampires. Stories like Dracula and Interview with the Vampire inspiring almost an obsession when I was younger and now as I'm getting older I'm finding that this particular obsession plans to stay. So, without further ado, this is what I'm looking for.

-Interest. Feel free to just dot, ask any questions that you may have and provide any suggestions you may have for what you would like to see as a player.
-Role-play experience. How long you've been playing, your favorite system, character, AP, etc..
-Concept. I think this is our favorite part, no? Tell me who your character is as a person. What their goals are and a bit about their history. Where they come from and where they wish to go.

Initially I'll be looking for anywhere from 1-3 players. This may be subject to change.

I myself have been playing tabletop games for almost nine years. Only recently have I begun to explore the wonders of PbP and I find that unfortunate, as some of my favorite experiences have been purely text-based in games ranging from things like Tera, World of Warcraft and other MMOs, to even just role-playing for the sake of it with friends.

Don't worry about crunch, as of yet. I'm not prepared to provide the rules for it and would not ask for anyone to go through the trouble until I have.

As for the world in which you will be coming into. It will be based in Golarion, in my own, twisted and somewhat less developed version, during what is the equivalent to the Dark Ages. Humans, Dwarves, Elves, and Halflings all find themselves at the bottom of the food chain. Vampires and other creatures of the night rule this world with a cruel and far-reaching hand. The gods are still young, and will have little to do with us mortals though you may choose to worship. For all sakes and purposes, Rovagug has already been dealt with. The main issue now is that evil finds itself at an extreme advantage as a result of the other gods' focus. However, alignment will be working slightly different in the campaign, and I will provide further details concerning that when I've more to give you.

You are a vampire. You were "lucky" enough to have been turned by another, and now you find yourself in the "middle" class and as such command great respect and fear over the lesser beings of the world. However the inner hierarchy of your coven is not the haven one would hope for and as time goes on, you realize that vampires alone are the least of your worries.

*cough* Or at least you will be. I intend on role-playing each turning, and rebirth. xD

With all of that said, this will be role-play over roll play. However that does not mean the total absence of combat, as I'm sure certain situations will indeed end in at the very least a bloody brawl whereas others will result in someone's death. Background and flavor is key, and I will be selecting those that have provided the criteria I've asked for based on my own preferences, grammar and other such factors. Depending on interest, recruitment may be on the horizon! If there is such a thing. :D

I'm looking forward to meeting you all!
