Catches up with you. His clothes are a bit worse for wear, but as well maintained as can be done by inexpert hands. His bow though, is well kept up and looks to be his weapon of choice .

Looking at the characters, I decided that there were plenty of casters already so I made a basic fighter archer. Will be joining up now (dr buzzard here).

Good question. We're 1st level characters with an ancient dragon outside killing people. The only rational response would be to cower. If you have some railroad in mind that would take us past rational responses, feel free to clarify.

OK, now that is a setting which the GM can address I think.

Yeah, just checked. If you go under the game information tab and hit the edit button, you can set whether or not characters are active.

The campaign is active. It should appear in the campaign tab if you have posted in gameplay.

Tarick will keep moving towards the city, but not rush it. He will be keeping an eye out for any cover in case the dragon starts to head this way.

Seeing the smoke drifting up form the city:
"Oh hells, not again!" and then he will see the dragon in the distance Ok, I shouldn't be relieved, but somehow I am.

He then takes stock of what he has on him and tries to get an idea of whether or not he could do anything but die against such a creature.

Tarick, a young man wearing armor and carrying a bow, trudges along the road with his mule in tow. He's not been much of a talker since the civil war. The scars of brother against brother conflict still lingered. He overhears the banter, but doesn't consider it to be any of his business.

A fair should mean a good place to buy reagents. Maybe I can find an alchemist to apprentice to. This wandering is getting rough on my spirits, not to mention my boots.
