Hey guys, sorry to do this but also glad it's relatively early in the overall story. With everything going on in my life right now, I just don't have the time to dedicate to this game the way it deserves. Thank you for the opportunity to experience even a tiny bit of this world, and thank you for running such an interesting setting. I wish you all the best! If you could mark me inactive, I'd appreciate it.
Sylthara has been patiently quiet throughout the entire display, though most might assume because of the high volume of food she has consumed this night. Need to make sure it lasts long enough until whenever her next meal might be! As the members of her new group are called up one by one she sits patiently yet, awaiting her turn. Finally, it arrives, and she stands and makes her way (a little bit more sluggishly than before) up to the dais. She's never met anyone that might pass for leadership in the marshes, and as such does not know either the toad or the lizard awaiting her. Still, she moves towards the Abbot. "Of course, good sir. I await your blessing."
I hope everything's going better for your family IRL. Should I postpone Syl's moment in the spotlight for last, or are you good to go after Squakowk? Otherwise the badgers will have the last exchange. (Probably will be less friendly than the others thus far. ^^) Things are still pretty crazy but I can get a post up today when called upon, yeah. Apologies for the late reply, have t been on the boards lately.
Apologies for the silence, guys! My mom was put into the hospital with some serious health issues and my route changed my off days at work which has thrown me off completely, what with learning new things. Will get a post up tomorrow afternoon after work! Thank you for your patience, sorry for any inconvenience.
"I would be very grateful for such instruction," "Of course! I am sure we will have much time for me to teach you." she answers genuinely, smiling widely again. Sylthara stares in amazement at the veritable feast set out in front of both the group and the wider audience in general. She had never seen this much food in one place before; back in the muck and dirt of the marsh she had to fight for every scrap of good food. And here, they just got it served to them? Made her glad she was leaving these pompous fools behind even more. Yet, that didn't stop her from gorging herself on the mealworms and shellfish from the first course, hoping the second had more meat for the more carnivorous guests. She had always needed less food and water than even other lizards, and had in fact not eaten the past few days on purpose in order to enjoy this food. She is not a clean eater, her sharp claws cracking open shells and tossing pieces of the remains all over the table. No amount of stares or glares stops her from enjoying the fish and worms, but she does leave room for whatever meat may be brought out later. In between bites, she looks her newfound companions, seeing how they react to the abundance of food.

If you’re struggling to find good bird-sounding names, I usually go into fantasy name generator and mix and match syllables and looks until I get something I like. Here’s a Birdfolk generator to mess around with until you find a name you like that fits the setting.
Instead she approaches the lizard-maid near the group of others of her kind, thinking that she would try to exercise her familiarity with their native tongue. Sylthara stares over at the strange sounding lizard-speaking mouse. It is hard to tell if she is judgmental or impressed until a huge smile spreads across her face, revealing a wide mouth full of sharp teeth. Lizard:
"It is not often that you find non-native speakers of our language, you must be a very well traveled mouse. That, or you spend too much time in a library." she says, laughing boisterously "Perhaps don't use the words 'I taste' around some of the more...unscrupulous members of this court, it is just inviting danger." She extends a sharply clawed and well-muscled hand towards the mouse, in a sign of greeting not malice, before switching to a more common language. "Name's Sylthara Flamescale. Good to officially meet you as well, though I wish it were anywhere but this blasted abbey. I do not care for cramped spaces, nor civilization in general. Once we get out into the field beyond all of the politics of this place, I will feel much much better. I might even be convinced to teach you the finer details of my language, so as to help you not embarrass yourself when it really matters." she says only halg-joking.
Sylthara rolls her eyes at all of the pomp and circumstance for their little band's maiden voyage, as it were. She has spent most of the party slinking around the edge's of the party, knowing just how most of the people here would likely treat her anyway. When her clan had sent her away to be their 'representative' in this little adventuring band, she had known it was an honor. She was the Prophet of Flame, after all! She was here to spread the glory of flame amongst the lands that didn't have the enlightenment she could provide. But these people, all these self-serving cowards hiding behind the walls of the fort? They were so foreign to her, so strange. She had spent all of her life in the muck and mud of the marsh that all of this pretentious ceremony seemed beyond her. And yet, she still mingled when appropriate, to the right people. They may be foreign, but they certainly weren't useless. More supplies, more help, you never knew what people would be willing to give to appear good in the eyes of others. She had seen several of the others in their lucky band floating around through the hall before dinner was served, but hadn't spoken to them yet. All of those introductions and pleasantries could be taken care of after the food was served. And holy fire, was she hungry.

Thanks for having me! Glad I could get her finished in time, pretty excited for this game and setting. Even if I don’t know much about the setting specifically, now’s the time to learn! Gonna watch a bit of the show when I get a chance. As far as who Sylthara is, she’s Marshwood Hills’ chosen representative for this little expedition into the unknown. Sent away likely just as much for her fervent fire fanaticism as her likelihood of being useful, she doesn’t care either way. Time to bring the glory of fire to this unexplored land!
And here she is! Ended up going a little bit more mystical than I originally intended, but I think it is still mysterious enough to allow you to tie in whatever entity you wish to actually be behind the fiery serpent in her visions. As an oracle, Sylthara has the cure spells added to her spells known list but I do not really intend to have her be a dedicated healer. Her natural prowess in melee combat and eventual damaging fire spells will solidify her combat role, while also having a fairly nice Diplomacy skill to start talks before the claws and fire come out. Let me know if anything needs to be changed/adjusted, as I am not the biggest expert on the setting of Redwall (yet). Thanks for your consideration! Edit: forgot to drop the appearance ref. Loved the look of this guy since I saw him in Bloomburrow (MtG set I mentioned earlier).
