It's awesome to finally see that people other than myself actually like Griffons! Definitely dotting.

The worst character I've ever seen is the one I'm currently playing offline.

Background: The GM had this rule that the stats you roll are the stats you have to live with; no rerolls. This was in response to the group's powergamer. He decided to abandon this rule after seeing my character in action and will do point-buy in the future.

Pretty much, I got the most horrible stats you could get; 8 or below. So, since it was level 1, I made a goblin commoner that was intended to die in the first combat. Even rolled up his replacement. Just for giggles, I named him Cannonfodder Trapfinder and would have him rush into battle and intentionally annoy enemies.

He's now level 8. And he won't die. And he's still a commoner.

This is beautiful

I was wondering if any of you add race/class restrictions to your campaigns. I like the idea of a campaign where the only spellcasters are Summoners. (Because that's how magic works, you make a pact with an Eidolon who will grant you spells and control over his aspect.)

I'd also like to GM a campaign based solely on what the players come up with for their characters. This includes exotic races, classes, etc.

I myself pretty much just like players have free reign over their characters; it's enjoyable to see the odd combinations they can put together, and how I'll incorporate them into the world.

I have a campaign world called Oceaq that takes place in an entirely aquatic world where the two major races are the sea elves and the sahuagin, with dozens of less populous races struggling to eke out an existence amidst the raging wars and conflicts that constantly occur between the two major societies. I borrowed races, classes, and battle mechanics liberally from the Cerulean Seas Campaign Setting by Alluria Press when I discovered it as they had a ton of stuff that was essentially a well fleshed-out and polished version of similar mechanics I'd been crafting at home.

Between myself and the members of my group we created all kinds of great custom creatures and threats and had an absolute blast. I remember our "Purple Tides" adventure where a strain of spicy shrimp were introduced into a population of shrimp-like mind controllers resulting in a massive swarm of shrimp that would drive entire populations into frothing rages, leaving death and devastation in it's wake. The party had to man a shrimping vessel with magical nets to try and break the swarm up into a manageable size, all while avoiding having party members come into contact with shrimp lest they go berserk. The latter half of that encounter involved the party monk tripping and running from the group's maddened rage prophet while the druid and bard desperately tried to man boat and nets with only two sets of hands.

The latter part of that campaign involved the party trying to unite the various political factions of the world to give one side of the major conflicts raging across the world enough power to force stability and repel and otherworldly invasion of horrific aquatic aberrations led by an ancient aboleth psion.

Good times.

That is a really cool idea! You should post the outline for that campaign someday; I'd definitely love to give it a go! haha

Their album "Blackthorne Asylum" is perfect for Cthulhu, as well.

I'm picking and choosing songs from them as we speak! Most excellent. The Paizo community, always reliable haha

My level 13 Fighter Lizardfolk Knight character to an Adult Black Dragon atop a shaky mountain.

Absolute WORST PC? Probably my fellow adventuring companion in our last campaign, Thalgar the Dwarf Wizard. His player, much older than I, and much more experienced in previous role playing games, enjoyed being "twisted, dark and angst y" so Thalgar's whole goal was to slay us, his fellow party members by trying to contact what was our world's elder gods, great old ones, Cthulhu stuff! He blatantly told us at every session our doom was upon us, and we have strict rules on player knowledge versus character knowledge, so alas, we couldn't act on it. Now, keep in mind this campaign lasted for an actual year, and nearing end game, our characters confront the now fully traitorous dwarf upon a charred, blackened landscape, but we're a little too late. He finishes a ritual, and calls upon his dark, unknowable gods for assistance to claim this world. The GM asks him for what I believe was a Will check. He critically fails on a 1 when he tries comprehending the words of the gods and gains narcolepsy, dementia, and multiple personality disorder, and is then left to his own devices. As he tries to cast a spell, he immediately falls asleep and collapses face first into a pool of blood made from his many living sacrifices. Needless to say, he drowns. Luckily for him, he had a resurrection stone but as soon as he was brought back to the world of the living, he found a near seven foot tall, giant Lizardfolk knight (my character) standing above him. My character steps on his chest and drowns him a second time, stabbing him repeatedly in the process

Thalgar, the narcoleptic, dementia ridden Dwarf wizard. You will not be missed

Just want to add I love reading all of these, especially after coming out of other threads wondering why anyone is still playing :) It really helps put things into context a lot better.

While people will always complain about something, I find if you get the right people, Pathfinder can bring people a lot closer to each other, and it's always a fun way to end a stressful week, to escape reality haha
