Perhaps someone should create a Hellfire Club? ![]()
![]() He was active here on the forums, on Reddit and other channels up until the end of octobre and then nothing. If it's something Paizo internal and should not be discussed that is okay and understandable, I just wanted to know if he is alright. He is one of the more open and friendly and outspoken people and I really liked his take on issues. ![]()
![]() James Jacobs and or Jason Bulmahn was there and he repeataly stated that they had to hurry to produce Pathfinder because 4E wouldn't allow them to continue there line of APs. So, yes, PF1 was built so Paizo could stay in business. AND he said that the OGL debacle was the second time they nearly went out of business because of another company and so they decided now to cut all ties as fast as possible. EDIT: Mixed up names. ![]()

I think it i a bit "damned if you do, damned if you don't" kind of situation. Doing nothing would meant that they still had entablements with the OGL and where still somewhat dependent on WotC goodwill. In the long term this would be a very bad descission as WotC (or better Hasbro) has shown that they don't really respect the customers. Paizo has allways been more open with their licences and the fact that AoN exists - and as Mark has posted is in now way affected - shows that they continue that way. Yes, it will be bumpy for a few month for sure, but this not so good decisssion seems to be better then the alternative. ![]()
![]() First of thanks to Mark and the whole team for the effort they put in to help us all to understand things better. I'm the maintainer of the german AoN and the german blog about all things Pathfinder. For the rules part I am NOT translating myself I'm using the translation of the german partner Ulisses Games and have their permission to do that. Am I still affected by the changes? For the Blog I do translate some stuff, mostly news and announcements an I guess this is covered under the Fair Use clause but just to make sure I 'm posting here. ![]()

![]() The “Strength of Thousands” Adventure Path takes place at the Magaambya academy in the Mwangi Expanse and the Mwangi Expanse sourcebook has some more background lore about the students and their activities. One rather interesting part is a sidebar about “study groups” that are basically alcohol samplings. One rather favorite drink is “Jatembe Juice” made from dates and ginger and so I had to recreate it. In this video I show how it is made: https://pathfinder2.de/2022/03/20/how-to-make-jatembe-juice/ ![]()
![]() Paizo Welcomes Maggie Gallagher As Director Of People And Culture This sounds great. Alone the fact that they moved on from the rather awfull "human resources" title speaks volumes. But it is rather unfortunate that there is another Maggie Gallagher out there who seems to be the opposite from this one. ![]()

I've been looking to buy this book ever since it came out but no European sellers seem to be carrying it. Ordering from Paizo directly means having to pay $40 in shipping to Europe, so I'd like to buy from local stores. I've got mine from here: https://lurchundlama.de/Pathfinder-Absalom-City-of-Lost-Omens-P2 ![]()

![]() Since there are representatives of Paizo AND Demiplane on here I wanted to touch on something that really would help making Nexus even more interesting. Translations: If there was one shop where I have my books and charaters in both englisch and german (or french, or any other language Pathfinder is offered in) it would greatly help Gamemasters to manage their games. In my groups players use both languages and it is sometimes hard to find the right feats or talents. If I had one place where I could search for both and switch between languages it would be very helpfull. I'm certain that is not something with a very high priority, but as a software developer myself I know it is best to know such requests beforehand so you can plan accordingly. ![]()
![]() Is there an error on in the wizard section from the rules in the Heros Handbook? The rules are supposed to be basically the same as in the CRB but there is a difference. If you choose a school in the CRB you get 6 1. level spells in your spellbook and 3 spellslots PLUS the focus spell of your school: CRB 204
"The spellbook contains your choice of 10 arcane cantrips and five 1st-level arcane spells. You" CRB 207
Which would mean 6 1. level spells in your book PLUS "protective ward" and the ability to memorize 3 per day. Beginners Box Heros Handbook 35 "SPELLCASTING
"Abjuration
Which means 5 spells for the book and 2 to memorize PLUS "protective ward" Or am I getting something wrong? |
