This book is exactly what it's name sounds like: A book of options for those who like to tweak their character to be that much closer to their chosen concept, whether that be new classes or added options for old.
The list of character concepts I have had that are now possible (or much easier) to make is seemingly endless!
Each class got at least half of a dozen new guises to operate under, from dual-wield oriented fighters to spell-less rangers, it's all there and all of it is great! And for those who are worried, no the new fighter abilities cannot be emulated by feats.
This also (officially) implements character traits, and adds some new ones too.
The only down-side to this book (in my mind) is that the new favored class options are race-restricted. Easily enough ignored for home-brew play, but still mildly irking as many people I play with like to play non-standard races (which have no such options). Not enough to dock it a star by far.
If you'll excuse me, I now have to get back to drooling over the glut of ways I now possess to annihilate PCs.
