If possible, we should recruit all 3 of the potentials. If the smith will also take over as one of the smaller officer duties, like Quartermaster or something, we could easily offer him officer pay. If he wont, I still think we should try and get him aboard. The crew doesn't need to know just how much we bring back from our adventures off ship. What do you guys think? As for the infamy, we still have a few more days here waiting on Ricketty Squib, there may be chance in that time for another roll to come up. I appreciate the delay until the end of our visit, Mr. GM.
I have an idea for a tiefling cleric of war that just wants to try and try and be apart of every time of battle that he can. I know it's a pretty bare bones concept, but I find it hard to make a full character without knowing that I'm going to get to play it. I'll flesh out any other details if you wish.

Are we officially going to go and get the ship re-done so it looks different? If so, we should take the opportunity to really have some fun with it. Let's get a new flag for it, colored sails, everything we can afford. I'm not much of an artist (maybe some of you are), but I'll try to draw up anything we design. Thoughts?

SubiculumHammer wrote: StarFinder looks fun I played a session at a local con recently and had a blast. Almost literally since I also had a blaster. We all had a good time. The misses likes it, and so does my brother-in-law.

I put Scourge and Plugg's gear into the loot list, adding the things Jack claimed onto his page and Rush's new amulet onto his page, all the monies onto the first page. Sunyata, if you're curios what we're talking about, check out the link near TapTap's name to see the loot list he created (super handy).

Rush will happily take quarterrmaster, but would reject Captain if offered to him. Mr. GM Nayr, are you a stickler for stacking bonuses? Also, Sunyata's character maybe be able to use the bracers as well. Tap claimed Captain, the crew seems to have accepted him. Also, I agree that we should distribute some gold to the crew. If there are 4 active players, 20% of our income to each player and 20% split amongst the crew. Opinions?

Rush puts on the amulet. He then tells everyone else what he found about the other gear. Well, it seems Mr. Plug was well equipped. Jack, I can change the command word on the gutless if you'd like. Right now it is set to " Plugg is the best". I don't have a crossbow either. Anyone want the bracers?

Can we all agree to follow the "social checks are not to be used between players" rule? This is a particular sticking point for me as I had a lot of issues with it in 3.5 and was one of my favorite changes into Pathfinder. Not an ultimatum, but something I'd like to have.

So far, these are all the suggestions for ship names: The Fare Thee Well
Can we do an official vote? Sunyata included, since she'll be joining the crew soon. If we can't decide on one, hopefully we can at least narrow down the list. I still vote for THE ONCOMING STORM
LFG. I've played most of Rise of the Runelords, am playing Hell's Rebels and Kingmaker IRL, and Skulls and Shackles and Ruins of Azlant on the boards. Pretty open to anything else. Really want some more game time in. I check daily for updates, and I'm comfortable playing in any role needed for existing groups.

After joking about it, I think I'm going to play Kar as though he actually doesn't know that he isn't human. Give him some more depth as to why he is going on the trip. Also, GM Nayr, this can give you something else to throw at me later when you feel it is appropriate for the story.

Ship combat here sounds like the ship combat in Starfinder. Note that I haven't played enough Starfinder to have done ship combat yet, just sounds like what I've heard. I'm looking forward to the freedom that I feel is coming in part 2. Also the chance to go be evil.

I've never heard of such a rule, but I'll say it this way. As a player, I'd vote yes due to the fact that it can only help me and mine. Also, it allows for a better experience for Jader. And if those are the actual stats we're talking about, it's not that big of an advantage (especially at later levels). As a DM, I'd say heck no. You have to wait to use them when you get to those levels. So, I fall on the YES side, but only slightly.

No need to apologize about anything. I was just checking. Also, since it seems that we officially have ourselves a new ship, I think we should rename it. What do you guys think? I'm going to think of a few.

I'm fine with whatever we end up doing. Rush has no history with these men, so he's just waiting to see what happens. Either way, I hope they don't come back to us. So as a player, is prefer they die in the end, no matter what happens between now and then .

Rush is having some attitude changes with his current situation. It'll culminate soon. Also, just a heads up to everyone. I'll be attending a local CON this weekend, so I'll be offline from Friday till Sunday. Feel free to bot me. I haven't used any spells, and only my invisibility. All wands are updated with current charges on the loot sheet (which is awesome, by the way, super handy). As of this post, anyhow. I'll still be on tomorrow.
Does this spell exist already? For a magic item, I want to have a spell that is essentially Summon Equipment. Not arms and armor, but tools. Crowbar, fishing pool, that sort of thing. I seem to recall such a spell, but I can't seem to find anything. Anyone know of such a spell? Probably be first level conjuration
My 2 cp's: This is a viable feat. It won't overpower anyone. In response to the specific concept of a Wizard with a full 20 BAB and full spellcasting; what crazy Wizard is going to wade into melee when he has level 9 spells available. And he gave up all of his chance at meta-magic feats to increase his BAB? Ridiculous. A fighter would still destroy him in melee combat with all of the other feats he can take (critical focus and such). At lower levels, this could be powerful enough to take for non-martial classes (which makes it an appealing choice). However, at higher levels, a +1 won't be that powerful, especially if you've burned a feat for it (since there aren't that many feats available). I mean, heck, Bless adds a +1 to everyone within 30 feet as a 1st level spell. As to the confusion before about whether this should increase the BAB or (let's call it) the bonus to attacks. This only really matters where it concerns CMD, CMB and prereq's for some feats. As to the ranged focused characters (archers), this is only a maybe. I'd much rather focus on rapid shot and many shot in place of this feat. Lastly, I'm going to ctrl+c and ctrl+v this into my homebrew materials. Full credit will of course be given to the OP. Sadly, I will not have a chance to test this out and give feedback for a while.
You are obviously very adamant about your house rules. I haven't seen that many $%^#*(&@)'s in a while. And here's some input from someone who's been there (where there is altering the rules for realism). And after doing this and going back to RAW, they truly are balanced for play. Spell casters are powerful, but they have a ton of additional rules to be used against them as well (concentration checks and spell blights specifically). It is all going to depend on your group. All it takes is one power gamer/min maxer and yes, he's going to take your rules and blow them apart. A Paladin/Barbarian that has no penalties to armor and can channel energy as a swift action and has all the CMB feats for free? By the by, how do you define a "martial character"? The obvious full BAB is one thing. But what if someone wants to play a combat oriented cleric? Do they also get the access to all the free CMB moves? Some of them are fine. Like full HD per level. That one I've done myself multiple times. For d6 caster's, it is extremely useful. But I honestly think that it's going to depend on your group. If they're there for the role playing, this is fine. Encourage them to play whatever they want however they want. If they're there for the roll playing, then they are going to break this wide open.
