Sliver steps squarely in front of Eeerie and looks him in the eye, accepting the consequences in doing so. "You sure you're ok? We can go back to the inn if you need to?" If Eeerie reaffirms his (relative) well being, Sliver will accept it and stand with him.

Sliver awkwardly stands next to the doubled over Eeerie. He reaches out and parts his friend on the back, instantly recoiling at the sound that assaults his psyche. Sliver realizes that the few moments of peace may have cost Eeerie dearly. Peace that Sliver encouraged him to enjoy. He steels his nerve and slowly returns his hand too Eeerie's back, both in penance and support of his tortured friend.

When Eeerie finally rights himself, Sliver tries to keep him from seeing the tears that have welled up in his eyes as he considers the pain his friend must constantly be suffering.

He continues to to the inn in silence.

Thinking that Eeerie is happy to have had some rest from the voices that trouble him, Sliver agrees. "Alright" He says good bye to the keeper and the bald man. He leads Eeerie through the streets back towards the inn. Sliver does not speak allowing Eeerie time to his own thoughts.

"Thank you." Sliver says to the old man. He then leads Eeerie over to the grove keeper. He stands close by quietly waiting to be noticed and summoned.

Sliver smiles, "Oh. The I'm sure the effect is only while you're here. Hopefully, you can learn to keep them at bay, but, for now, try to get by with them like they are, for a time." Sliver puts his hand on Eeerie's shoulder and gives him a comforting smile to help bolster his friends courage.

Sliver does not know of the park's muting effect on Eeerie's voices, but shortly after they enter the park, he turns to him and says. "There are less folk here. Hopefully the open space helps with your haunts."

Sliver gives the old man the secret Emerald Enclave handshake and says "I am Sliver of the Wood. We've come to meet with the others who follow the way of the green."

Sliver thanks the guards and proceeds down the road. "We might as well try this Yawning Portal, Since we don't know how long it will take for us to find the Nandars and get an audience with them."

He takes note of Eeerie's discomfort. "Relax, my friend. It's not as frightening as it seems at first. Stay close to us. You'll get used to it after a time."

I did notice that the leadership has not returned. I didn't suggest a name change because I didn't want to overstep.

With the ritual complete and ties with the elves seemingly improved, Sliver turns his thoughts to the actual leadership of the town. He gets together with Morak and tells him, "I'm going to go see what's keeping the guards and your lord. They should have returned by now."

Sliver offers a formal greeting to the ambassador before responding. "I am. In preparation for your arrival, we have readied a place to plant your gift. The place of honor that once held the Nightstone for which this town is named." Ideally, we would have ringed the area with chunks of the night stone itself. "We are still rebuilding and can't offer you hospitality commensurate with your office, but please accept our humble offerings in the spirit they are intended in appreciation for your aid."

Sliver uses the time to help the townsfolk rebuild. He joins them in the evening as well to socialize and keep spirits high. He'll go out hunting to bring food in or to see if he can find any farm animals that ran away.

Is there something in the castle that looks like its elven? Perhaps a gift from the elves or a trophy wrongfully taken. Other than that all I can think of is war souvenirs from the orc war band and the goblin tribe. Perhaps a small sample of product and art from the townsfolk. I'm sure the elves will see it as rustic at best.
