May goes up to the room she shares with Snow, literally drops her pack on the floor, and is ready to go explore the city. Then she reconsiders...right, actual business to attend to. She's still ready to go.

Snow marks the three stringed lute player when they enter but does not say much. Passing on the offered drink, she asks for something non alcoholic choosing to keep her wits about her. This city can be dangerous to those who are not vigilant.

Entering the room behind Mayberry, Snow moves to her pallet and begins inspecting it. Satisfied of its cleanliness she examines the room as well. ”This will do. I think you will like Warerrrdeep, many interrresting things to do an people to meet. “ Snow says to Mayberry as a sly grin crosses her face.

"How about we all go check out our rooms and meet back down her in an hour or so. We can start our search first thing in the morning. We can use the rest of the day for whatever. Maybe explore the city a bit. I think I'll stay in, unless Eeerie wants to go out. Maybe for that new cloak?"

Sliver will lead Eeerie to the room.

Eerie looks just short of panicked and vigorously shakes his head. He hurries up to the room and finds the clothing nook and sets up in there.

Going to ex posit again.

You head to Sea Ward, looking for the Nandars' crest, and find it within an hour. The guards manning the outside gate question you on your business, and send off a runner to the main house.

The wait is short, only a few minutes. The runner returns and nods to the other guard, who lets you in, directing you to the main house.

Dealing with the Nandars is pretty frustrating as a whole. The house is in disarray, following the death of Lady Nandar. Her cousin, Albert, has a tenuous hold on the business of the house and meets with you.

In point of fact, you actually meet with two members of the house: Albert and his second cousin, Llyra. It soon becomes obvious that Albert and Llyra do not see eye to eye. Llyra seems to think that allying with the Zhentarim will be extremely lucrative, while Albert seems to think that their underhanded dealings are not something that he can overlook.

After finally silencing Llyra, Albert turns to you all, I thank you for bringing me this information. I will do what I can to ensure that they have the support to rebuild. I commend you on your progress in relations with the elves of Ardeep. I do not have much that I can give you in reward, but I give you my word. If you ever need anything, come to me and I will use what influence I have to help.

Ultimately, this will be the vehicle that you will be able to use to cash in your Treasure Points.

”Thankyou Lorrrd Alberrrt, we shall be staying at the Yawning Porrrtal should you need anything frrrom ya.” Snow bows and prepares to leave but on a second thought turns back to Llyra, ”Do not trrrust the Zhents, they will only brrring morrre trrrouble to yourrr house.”

After the meeting, Snow moves to try and locate one of her contacts here in Waterdeep to get the word out on what happed in Nightstone.

I am going to switch to Safe Haven as my background.

Mayberry exchanges the expected pleasantries, but is otherwise reserved. She nods in approval at what both Snow and Sliver say, and follows them back out the door.

To the others, once outside and away a few paces, Well, then, now what? How can we help support Lord Albert?

@ Dalron "They are the rightful rulers, so there's little we can really do, but it won't hurt to find out what sort of people they are."

@ Mayberry "I may have some contacts that I could get to lend some support. I'll ask around and see." The Emerald Enclave wanted to have better relations between Nightstone and the Elves. Maybe they'd be willing to send help now.

She is forgetting that Aukan seems uncomfortable in the large city.

May walks with Aukan, looking carefully around to see what place seems to have a good number of people in it, something boisterous with lots of tables where they can blend in. Or attempt to anyway. If we find such a place, we order a round, get some bread at least, maybe a meal, and find a table to squeeze in to, preferably one with people already sitting there that they can join.

They are just two people from the other side of town, come to visit May's cousin who works for the Nandars. So...what's the deal with that family? Deception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22

May finds round-about ways to try to figure out if Albert and Llyra are good people with the Nandar's best interests at heart. Or not. Rounds of ale on her are probably involved.
Not sure what to roll...Investigation?: 1d20 ⇒ 7 Persuasion?: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19

Eerie looks a Sliver with a pained expression, glancing back to his new residence in the closet wistfully. He goes back and forth a couple times before hanging his head, "...cloak..."

Sliver and Eeerie head off to the Sea Ward in search of the Shrines of Nature, where his Enclave contact can be found. The Sea Ward is full of beautiful houses overlooking the harbor. Many rich looking residents bustle through the streets or ride by in coaches. In the middle of the day, many visitors wander the streets, admiring the architecture and cozy shops.

It takes about an hour to cross completely and then the grand park, filled with lush greenery spread out before them. As they enter, they see families picnicking and children playing or the occasional resident walking a hound...

Soon, you are approached by a balding man, with a simple brown robe and a wooden holy symbol of an oak leaf on a silver chain, You look as if you are searching for something. Is there anything that I may help you with?

Mayberry and Aukan cruise the Trades Ward (after asking some of the citizenry, they tell you that though the largest market is in the Castle Ward, for a true shopping experience you NEED to go to the Trades Ward), with May dragging the uncomfortable goliath by the hand from shop to shop, street vendor to street vendor.

Finally, the smells of roast mutton and the sounds of upbeat music draw your attention, and Aukan's growling stomach tell you that it is time to eat!

You both find yourself standing before the Golden Horn, a gambling hall, apparently, complete with dining and entertainment!

Sliver does not know of the park's muting effect on Eeerie's voices, but shortly after they enter the park, he turns to him and says. "There are less folk here. Hopefully the open space helps with your haunts."

Sliver gives the old man the secret Emerald Enclave handshake and says "I am Sliver of the Wood. We've come to meet with the others who follow the way of the green."

Eerie remains frozen in his flinch. His face, however, shows a mixture of fear an awe.

He holds out his arm, gesturing toward the inner grove.

As Snow flags down a coach, the coachman asks, Where to?

Upon hearing Lady Haventree's name, he nods, To the Ulbrinter Estate. I will get you there right quick!

The trip is short, barely 5 minutes, as the coach takes you a few blocks North. Once the coach comes to a stop, the coachman leaps off the driver's seat in a flash and opens the door for Snow and Dalron.

Have yerselfs a nice day now, he says with a tip of the hat.

The Estate is nice, if a little unassuming. Well-kept gardens surround the small mansion, and caretakers dot the surroundings, trimming the verge or clipping flowers to decorate the interior of the house.

A house guard, standing near the front gates asks about your business.

Letting Snow take the lead as Dalron stares the estate
"This place is huge, sorry I grew up on the poor side and only came to places like this on church business. I hope I don't embarrass you in front of your friend."

OK shopping first then, ix-nay previous post. Imma just take 30g off my character sheet for baubles, clothes, and food. Man I'm famished! Shopping is almost as taxing as relaxing. (She chuckles at her own terrible joke.) This place looks fun. What'll it be my fine barbarian friend? (In lower tones:) I bet we can get some good gossip here.

@Dalron, don't worry about tracking. Chalk it up to lifestyle expenses. In Season 8, you no longer need to track lifestyle.

Eh? The hospice? Why, it is a mere block over! I can take you, if you'd like!

@May, same as Dalron, let's chalk it up to lifestyle expenses, unless you really want to buy new outfits and the like. As for the food, no need to track any expenditures there.

"N-n-no eet not that.." Eerie stutters and trails off as he reaches out and touches Sliver's hand. Upon the touch, Sliver hears screams, giggles, and yells though as though they were underwater. Eerie looks at Sliver with a confused/concerned expression as if saying Who are these people?.

Snow steps lightly down from the cart and nods her thanks to the driver. As Dalron looks as if he is going to pay the driver, Snow looks over the grounds. She had not been here very many times, but she has always appreciated the care in which the grounds keepers take with the property.

She escorts Dalron to the guard ”Snow in the Valley and guest to see Lady Haventrrree if you’d please.” She says confidently.
