Snow sees a pair of black leather-clad thugs appear at the door and take a knee with their crossbows!

One guard takes a bolt to the back and falls! The other runs past Eeerie and tries to get past Aukan reaching for the gates!

Eerie claps his hands together excitedly, "This will be much fun!" Eerie's eyes lock onto the closest of the thugs and he grins with his head tilting at an odd angle.

Cast Crown of Madness on the blue thug. Wisdom Save DC 13 (5e makes me cry with how low the saves DCs are).

Blue Thug:

The thug begins hearing whispers in their mind. At first the whispers sound far away, but they quickly begin to sound closer. The whispers sound as if they are trying to tell something very important, as if they hunger for something. Power...Strength...All are enemies...All want to kill you...Especially the one next to you...He wants everything that you have...He will kill you if you don't kill him first...!

Crown of Madness:

One humanoid of your choice that you can see within range must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or become charmed by you for the duration. While the target is charmed in this way, a twisted crown of jagged iron appears on its head, and a madness glows in its eyes. The charmed target must use its action before moving on each of its turns to make a melee attack against a creature other than itself that you mentally choose.

Sorry, I missed that. It should have been an Athletics check, so yes. You manage to climb the gate, but it takes 20 feet of your movement.

Sliver struggles to find a foothold, when it becomes clear that Aukan has no interest in him, the guard frantically calls out, Hold on, I'm coming!

It appears that he is coming to open the gate for you... On his turn, ;) Mayberry, does that change your action?

Aukan charges past the guard at the thugs in the doorway!

Aukan, it will take your Dash action to get to the thugs, delaying your attack until the next round. Would you like to throw a javelin instead, or double move? (I ask because if you do not get attacked this round, it may be a waste of a rage. If you attack, however, your rage stays active.)

Doh. I forgot that charging is a variant rule and not in AL. Yeah use a javelin attack instead.
Aukan snatches a javelin off his shield and hurls it at the blad clad enemies!

Dalron move forward his full 20' and says a small prayer"May Ilmaters blessings bring you back from the darkness."

Dalron cast Healing word on the fallen guard.

May was starting to climb the gate, but the guard opened it so she jumps down. She regards the groundskeeper and the dogs running (away probably), the guard near them and the one on the ground, and the thugs in the doorway. Careful to avoid Snow if she can even see her, May wiggles her magic fingers and sends a Chaos Bolt flying at one of the baddies, but sadly it fizzles. Chaos bolt: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6. She runs out to help the downed guard with whatever movement she has left.

Snow leaps from the bushes at the sight of the thugs shooting one of the guardsman in the back. With catlike speed she closes the distance and staff jabs one of the thugs in the throat and then roundhouse kicks him in the chest. If she recognizes the crown, she will attack the other thug, if not pick one randomly.

Qstaff: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8 for Bludg: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Kick: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7 for Bludg: 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5

Instead what really happens is she leaps from the bushes and with catlike personality sees something shiney on the side of the house and is distracted by it, trips on the stairs as she closes the distance, and then paws at the enemy ineffectually.

May's bolt of chaos flies out and burns a scorch mark on the wall next to the guard!

Aukan charges at the thug, hurling a javelin, but it embeds in the door with a thud!

Dalron feels the familiar burn in the center of his back, in the same area that the guard was shot, and he calls out to the fallen man. The guard shakes his head, surprised, and scrambles to his feet, leaving his spear behind!

Snow notices the iron crown upon the brow of one of the men, that she can now see is a Zhentarim thug being a Harper, she has become adept at sniffing them out. BTW, has Eeerie used this spell before? Noting the look in the man's eye, she turns her attention to the other thug and throws an ineffectual flurry of strikes!

Sliver is up! The gates have been opened by the guard!

As luck seems to conspire against you, the thug in the iron crown swings hard at his companion!

Mace attack #1: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11

Mace attack #2: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10

He swings twice, causing thug to scramble out of the way! -5 hp!

The uncontrolled thug scowls, apparently recognizing the spell, and draws a bead at Eeerie!

Heavy Crossbow: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20

Eeerie takes 5 hp damage!

Wisdom Save: 1d20 ⇒ 9

Eeerie, make a Concentration check DC 10.

Eerie gets hit by the bolt but does not flinch. He looks down slowly at the bolt with his creepy smile and head tilt, at the same time a distortion or light seems to fly at the thug that fired the bolt.

Actually, you are 10 feet from the gate. It was 20 feet of your movement to climb and jump down, then 10 feet move and healing word. But with your action you can move closer.

Aukan rushes in, causing the thug to scramble for safety as the goliath's battle axe buries itself in the wall Hit flavored as the thug burning hp to get out of the way!

1d20 ⇒ 14 Dalron calls down a holy column of fire, but the thug rolls aside!

But it is not enough as Snow's quarterstaff crushes the thug's nose!

Assuming you are aiming for knockout. Do you want to attack the Crown of Madnessed thug with your bonus attack?

May moves up next to Sliver and hurls her firey bolt at the thug, hitting him in the shoulder!
