For some strange reason I thought it was this Saturday for the contest. xP

Anyways while I am still struggling with my background generation. I made my nemesis story. So I have not been utterly without inspiration this whole time. ;)

Nemesis (Yarcil Feyheart):

Yarcil Feyheart was born to a powerful elven sorcerer with strong ties to the first world. Ever lustful and roaming, his partners were many and often short lived affairs. One such lover was a succubus that oddly enough was with child after their encounter. While the succubus was interested only in spawning a pawn and tool, the sorcerer despite his nature and short lived interest had a surprisingly strong fatherly side to him. He quickly found out about his would be child and guessed the fate in store for them. Finding the succubus and demanding his child be turn over to him upon birth he claimed her. The succubus after giving birth attempted to take back the child only to find the sorcerer was not as weak as he appeared. Viciously defeating the demoness he warned her never to interfere with his daughter on pain of death, for he had only spared her to avoid becoming the murderer of his child's mother. Banishing the succubus he proceeded to raise his child.

Choosing the River Kingdoms to temporarily settle down, or remain with in it's borders at least. He went about raising his daughter Yarcil as best he could. With no small amount of help from the fey of those lands as well as those that came from the first world she grew up well if not normally for a tiefling. Discovering a talent for witchcraft she then learned from the fickle fey witches of the forest, favored by their own patron in trickery. Yarcil's father took less of an active role as she grew older and more of a independent woman. Finally she chose to travel the river kingdoms on her own, that was when she met Slarus Leroung on his own travels. The two quickly got along and formed a romantic relationship. While it was not the first affair of ether and both were used to moving on in time, Yarcil felt more strongly for Slarus then any before, not long after following him more then sharing the same roads. Yet Yarcil knew nothing of romantic love or such relationships, having the mentality of a fey more then anything else. Her possessive nature grated on Slarus to the point that they had a rather unpleasant falling out. Left by the one she loved and unable to cope she lashed out by attempting to harm him. While Slarus had enough feeling for her to restrain her rather then attempt to bring great harm to her, Yarcil cared not at all for collateral damage. Causing destruction and death with in difference in her actions against Slarus. Forcing the wizard to use lethal means to stop her which resulted in her death.

Still Yarcil's father would not let that be the end of his beloved daughter. Regardless of how she had died he would not allow her to remain so. Yet despite his sorcerous strength, bring back the dead was often the realm of the divine. Ever cunning with secrets of the first world granted by it's masters he would use it to return Yarcil to the mortal world. Using a ritual of magic he summoned Yarcil's mother to a crossing of the mortal world and the first world. The succubus delighted in her wayward daughters fate quickly found herself bound. For the sorcerer would not return his daughter as she was, he would have her reborn as more then what she was. Using magic of the first world along with the soul of Yarcil and the body of the succubus she was reborn as her mother was destroyed.

Yarcil Feyheart returned to a body greater then her own, one made of fiendish flesh and first world magic. Yet her father warned her that her soul was now part of that body and tied to the first world. This was the price of her death and rebirth, their would be no third chances and he would serve in the first world for the favor he had been granted. Promising to return one day and wishing her a better second life he left to the first world.

While Yarcil took her fathers words to heart she could not forget Slarus and her feelings for him had not diminished. She would not be reckless again, she would plan and shape events. She would have Slarus and everything she desired in time and by any means.

P.S. If I built Yarcil Feyheart as I envision her in my head, she would be a rather powerful and annoying enemy. Geez why do I make such beastly baddies. xD

Now that setting is pinned down I will start building again. Got some editing to do as well. ;)

If you don't like templates and such, you could create custom boons for each PC. That way you don't have to worry about the power level sense you control it.

I am fine with any increase or not.

I will have to start organizing her story, but for the record my nemesis was always a female half succubus witch who worships Calistria. Everything else is up in the air. Ah hell has no fury like a complex girl scorned. xP

If I had to choose between the two I would pick Absalom. Personally I think it has so much more to offer as a city. It's got just about everything, good deal bigger, much more cultural diversity, and a larger pool of powerful (both personally and politically) people to draw from so we don't grow into a group of big fish in a small pond.

Why do I get a legion of doom vs justice league showdown feel. ;)

Speaking of which that purple suit he always wears could be considered leather too. Good luck with your joker double, he is a wily one. ;)

Concerning Slarus nemesis I am thinking a CN female half succubus elf Witch 4/ Archmage 1. >:)

In terms of superhero rankings, objectively, I would put superman as a mythic tier 10. Batman would be mythic tier 1 maybe 2. You have to look at personal abilities rather then effectiveness. Batman has a nearly limitless personal fortune and ability to use that fortune in his duties effectively and creatively. But in the end he is just a highly trained, driven, and adaptable man with a lot of money. Superman on the other hand is simply godlike, his personal abilities are the source of everything. Granted there are times where it is not enough or he has loss them. But those instances are few and in the end it is his abilities as a whole that see him through most if not all challenges. They are his primary strength as opposed to batman's cunning being his.

Also would like to point out we are not making pathfinder clones of superhero's. At least I don't think we are, correct me if I'm mistaken. So those superhero rankings are baseline rather then goals. Some hero's will be easier to mimic then others, does not mean we should stop them there. True hero's never stop growing, nor do villains it seems. ;)

@Ashe
Personally I see the joker as a cunning madman. He is not a fighter, not that he is utterly lacking in that area just that it's not his bag. That being said a pure alchemist would fit more in my opinion. He uses bombs, poisons, toxins, traps, and his cunning for everything. Flees when those fail or fighting as a last resort when foiled. It is his moral disregard and dirty tactics that see him one up the batman in combat, not any sort of direct ability which is why he gets beaten senseless by the bat when those prove unviable. Just my 2c. xP

Some superheros never had a nemesis per se, Dr. Strange among them apparently. But brainstorming something in the meantime. Does the nemesis have the same guidelines as us?

I am good with Korvosa or Absalom. They both have their own flavor and such. ;)

Well if you look at the profile, Slarus has a good bit of fluff added. Still mentally figuring out his background past his childhood. But he currently has three persona's or identities if you will. So got that part done already. ;)

Sense I am going for a doctor strange type, I would say Slarus is a underpowered version but otherwise pretty close IMHO. Sense Dr. Strange is basically an insanely powered spellcaster. xP

Concerning the origin and nemesis. Could you give an example or reference? Or define more in what your looking for? Really it can go a lot of ways so would like to narrow it down a bit. Is the nemesis end game or stepping stone for one thing, do they show up often or rarely, etc etc.

As for the build, personally I can't give you an informed answer. I don't know what your going to do. Depends what your going for and how much wiggle room you want to give us.

Crunch wise Slarus is complete. Going to work on the backstory now. ;)

Mythic tiers are not levels. They do not increase your HD, BAB, Saves, etc etc. So this guy is for all intents and purposes a level 5. You gain mythic tiers based on certain events, judged by the DM. They are not tied into level or experience, you can find a level 20 with only one mythic tier or a level one with ten mythic tiers. Even if that would be very loopy. Think of them more as bonuses as they act like it IMO. You get bonus abilities, feats, and powers based off tiers that stack on top of your levels dependent mostly on what path you choose. Maybe find someone better at explaining then me. :)

This is the basic crunch of the character I have in mind. No gear yet as that tends to take me the longest. Wish speedy summons did not have a 3rd mythic tier requirement. x)

DM:

I chose missing sibling both for RP purposes and crunch benefit. I used the updated version from the pfsrd. Was wondering if instead of gaining diplomacy and sense motive as class skills it could be diplomacy and bluff.
