I am trying to decide what cohort I should build to help my lvl 7 hafling mesmerist. It should be another halfling since it is his brother. The rest of the party is a half elf magus, lizardfolk shark druid, and super special snowflake life oracle. We try not to abuse leadership, and I just want a support character. The biggest reason I am taking it for the followers, I am building an Intel network. The campaign involves a large amount of infiltration and intreage. Thoughts?
I am making a 9th level kineticist, air/air. I want to make sure that things work the way I think they do. I spend a full round action gathering power, then a move action the next turn doing the same. I then use empowered thunderstorm blast, for no burn. I use magnetic infusion, the cost of which is reduced to 0 by burn specialization. The target is 100ft away, forcing me to use extended range, which costs one burn, which I have no way to reduce. The total cost of the blast is 1 burn. Is this correct.
In a few weeks I am going to start running the tWotW with a four man party. Two of the characters are dhampires. Both are sorcerers, though one is thinking of switching to an Oracle. Given that all the healing items during the prison break are cure light wounds potions and it would make no sense to change any of them with inflict potions, should I change the items in the veil to give them a chance to change. I am thinking maybe a wand of infernal healing with five or ten charges.
My DM ran a side quest while our Paladin was going to be absent where the wizard we were working for teleported us into a drow city an couple of blocks from the library. We had to get in an find the book we were looking for without being spotted. Best thing I ever did was have my magus learn invisibility the session before.
The crux of my question is this: Amazing Initiative allows a free action spending of mythic power to gain a standard action. It specifically calls out that it can not be used for the casting of a spell. Extracts however are not cast and are technically not spells. Is is legal to use the extract for drinking an extract allowing up to six extracts to be used in one round (Amazing Initiative standard action, regular standard action, Swift action with Assured Drinker and all either combined extracts or Adamixture Vialed)???
Two very similar events that happened a couple of sessions apart. The first time we were down ourninja as the player was absent. The tthree of us who were there were riding to a village to deliver medicine to a village for the church of Erastil. We met a dying man on the road who begged us to save a differentvvillage from a monster of some sort. Now part of the intent here was to give the parties redemer paladin of Erastil a dilemma. Not an instant fall just a something that would force him to make a choice. So the paladin makes the third choice. He declares that Erastil is devoted to hunting down monsters we go that way. Then he straps the medicine to his mount with a note and sends it on to the sick village. (the paladin makes sure that the mount maintains a higher AC than the paladin) When we get to the village being attacked we find it ruined and dead for quite a while. The town hall is now the lair of a cloud dragon. My magus (originally TN but greedy for power had slid into NE a while ago) translates for the paladin into draconic when there is no answer to common. The dragon demands a tribute to allow us to live. In draconic which none of the rest of the party present speak, the magus offers the paladin. And keeps generally insulting the paladin throughout the translation The dragon wanted our gear, then attacked and we killed it. A couple of sessions later there were again only three of us at the table, this time our Ranger was absent. The ninja had become a Lich session before (an artifact did it) and had been LE for quite a while (due to the same artifact). The three of us who were there were attacked by Zuishin Kami, who were really only attacking the ninja Lich and ignoring the rest of us. My magus was the only one who had any idea what they were and did not share with the party at large (I did have my cacaodeamon familiar that the paladin has only seen as a snake tell the ninja however) As he fights the ninja claims in several different languages that the paladin does not speak that he does not want to fight them and is forced to do evil by his master- the paladin. One of them even got away. Me and the ninja are discussing how to turn the paladin.
I just took a Cacaodeamon Improved Familiar and I have both the same question regarding the venomous snake and a related question. How would I calculate the poison DC for the venomous snakes bite? Is the the venomous snakes base DC or do I increase the DC based on the higher effective hit dice and constitution?
I agree Ned Stark is the poster child for lawful stupid. The one I disagree with is Davos Seaworth. He is one of the very small number of Characters who is lawful good. He used to be neutral good in his smuggling days but he went lawful after Stanis took his fingers. Cersie is the poster child for chaotic stupid.

Lonely kids. Well no more. Just get the My Necromancer doll. It's the new best friend that just keeps making more friends for you. And he can help you turn the other kids who would not play with you into friends as well. Just waiting for King Mark to let us know if the guards are doing anything.

Teon thrusts the head close enough that the crudely working jaw is in danger of nipping the end of Timeon's nose. You were not paying attention were you, you idiot? You are just as stupid now as when you were doing a piss poor job of polishing my armor and currying my horse. Iomdea could not save me in life, and she could not save me in death. My only hope of salvation was to forswear the false goddess. Do so while you yet have a chance to live. Forswear in life, or burn after death until you do. |
