Sad is right. I like my Silva Sez duo.
Thanks for game, it was interesting.

I am curious though, why did you make the shadow plane like that? Is there some other source out there describing it like this, or did you just make it like that on your own?

Why is everyone so worried about "party loads" and stuff? We are here to have fun, not to get a perfect score for efficiency.

Never once have I seen any character, no matter how weak or unfitting, be an unfun liability.

In fact, every liability I have ever seen at the table was a bad player so obsessed with minmaxing and perfecting party tactics that they interfered with everyone else, destroying their fun.

The dog was at the top of the initiative order, thus, all players get to go now because initiative has passed on to those lower initiative rolls. Besides, it seems unlikely the GM will stick tightly to initiative anyway. Pbp doesn't do well with that. Most GM's on pbp use it more to create three groups, PCs that go before the npcs, the npcs, and pcs that go after, which after the first round just alternates between all pcs then all npcs, anyway. So, the npc has gone, thus all pcs now must go so the npc can go again, if it still lives at that point.

Silva and Sez react quickly and smoothly blasting the creature with magic.

Interesting. The dice tag took 6, 2d6, d20 as rolling 62d6 then rolling that many d20. neat.

Silva follows the tracks for a few yards, still nearby but not hovering. She is patiently waiting for everyone to finish dealing with the strange creature. She and Sez start chattering about the tracks and the landscape in quiet voices.

Silva laughs amused, though not intending to be rude she stops quickly, "You are a silly creature to discount all but material wealth. I require what little coin I have and none of my magic is lasting, save fixing or destroying things. If they want to buy your info they may do so, obviously, but I shall not. Good luck silly creature."
Silva goes back to examining the tracks, taking her time should the others decide to speak to the silly creature.

So now you have two reasons I am following them. Any information is worth my gratitude and remembrance. It isn't a well paying job so there isn't much in the way of material goods to share, though you are welcome to anything we leave behind, and perhaps a small measure of loot, if any fighting be necessary, should you have useful information about the terrain, our enemies if they prove to be so, and how to flank or ambush them." Silva says in her most regal way.

"The signs rather clearly pointed here, so let's look around before deciding to turn back."

Silva and Sez make a general loop around the gateway looking for signs both of their quarry, and of other dangers.

Silva rides around the portal looking for clues or signs of where people were taken, traps (given that this is a natural chokepoint, good spot to lat traps), and what can be expected of this realm.

Clearly not the normal shadow plane. Ever used for faster travel, and are such natural portals (whether to this plane or another) commonplace?

Silva hops back over the wall and on Sez. After glancing at the sun, they give their opinion on the matter by walking through the portal. They go through at a angle though, obviously trying to avoid any potential traps.

Silva completing her circuit around the small cemetery quietly crawls over the wall near the gate to look around from the otherside, particularly for tracks or traps.

"See how the tracks end? The graveyard is likely under an illusion, showing everything as normal. Whoever set this up is taking precautions against passersby. That likely includes other preparations for those that go into the graveyard, so we should come from an unexpected direction by climbing the back or side walls." Silva says quietly to the others. Then she and Sez quietly make their way around the outside looking for any kind of signs whether natural, trap, unnatural, magical, etc.

In what way did the track stop (simple vanish, or did the people making them stop for a moment then just not make anymore tracks)? What about the other tracks? Is this a case of there being an invisible line, on one side tracks visible while on the other side there are no tracks of any sort?

Silva notices the tracks as she walks around the cart, "Look at this. There is one more enemy it seems. Probably the one who commanded these creatures. Four prisoners, one big person and three little."

Silva hops off Sez and starts checking over the cart repairing as needed. "I'm fine. We need to keep an eye out for any more of them."

She yells over to the elf Lanaral, "Oi, have those three inform the guards in town about this. They should also be very careful on their way back."

Silvia and Sez shoot destructive blasts at the next zombie in concert with each other and without word, clearly well practiced at this sort of thing.

Silva calmly talks to Sez, "Hit from right to left." Then to the others, "Come from the left side, and keep a watch out, they may not be alone."
Silva and Sez each cast a destructive blast at the rightmost zombie.

Silva: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 262d6 ⇒ (2, 4) = 6
Sez: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 191d6 ⇒ 2
Both are ranged touch, force damage

Silva hops up on Sez and they move to P22 on the right flank.

Silva's mount, by this time revealed to be Sez, helped right the cart and start putting the good potatoes back in.

Silva, with a hankerchief over her nose, investigates the body. She is no expert, but she hopes to at least determine whether the cause of death was a weapon, like a sword, or an animal/monster attack, or potentially worse if no outward wounds are perceptable.

Silva, riding a rather unusual and talkative mount, a winged cat of some sort, stays out front, taking a scout position.

She investigates the cart while the elf tracks down the runners, looking for signs if this cart was subject of bandits or just an accident. Who owned the cart, those two, or someone else?

Silva heads for the door. After a moment, she can be heard recounting the mission to someone outside, in quite a bit of excitement.

"A share of the market coin is more than enough. Well, it is today. I just need to complete a valid contract, and payment makes it valid." she says, trying to be reassuring, though perhaps it wasn't that reassuring.

Looking to the table, "Anyone else coming, or will it be just me and the big guy?"

Quite excitedly, "Is that an offer of employment? Why, I think Sez and I can help out. Of course, the contract must be done proper. I am Silva Val'Hilzanvier, sergeant of the Westland Warders. What's the pay?" Silvia is at this point standing on her chair looking at the man somewhat level.

"Well, that's dissapointing." suddenly realizing how that sounded, she quickly explaines, " Oh not you all, it is just that I've been looking for a solo combat contract, but haven't had much luck. I kinda need to complete a contract myself so I can qualify for officer rank." she fiddles with her ring while she talks. Then she addresses Chalice, "So, what about you? Just here for the wine?"

Another gnome, at the barkeep's direction, sits down at the table.

"Hello all! Sorry to intrude, but the barkeep said to sit here. I'm Silva by the way." She speaks in a rather upbeat fashion.
