"Very well, thank you for letting me know," he offers elderly halfling a reassuring smile.

Sigmund gathers himself as he sees the Goblin begin to chant. The vile creature could not be up to any good. With a deep breath he focuses on the creature, a cold divine rage building up inside him as he advances forward and releases another arrow towards it. The arrow seems to flash as it flies towards its target. Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17 +1 = 18 w/ point blank shot
Moves closer to it, hoping to get in point blank shot range then uses smite evil on the warchanter and then attacks it.

Thikka hasn't replied in a while, should I just jump ahead in initiative? If we keep losing party members like this perhaps we should open a new recruitment thread and restart? At least we know a couple of us want to stick around, so we could even do a different campaign if you guys aren't feeling RotRL. Just spitballing here.

Sigmund finds himself in the Rusty Dragon and immediately picks out two men that stand out from the rest. One with violet eyes and mysterious tattoos, the other carrying many weapons. The man of weapons is ordering food so Sigmund sidles up behind him, waiting his turn. Already deciding he will sit with one of these two men and see if either has any interesting stories to tell.

Sigmund finds himself enjoying a wide variety of foods, he is not one to turn down food. After all, as a soldier you never know when your next proper meal will be. He watches the Gnoll bow after taking his score and feels a bit of a shift in his world view. He had never met a polite Gnoll before.

Sigmund notices a gnoll in line to play Goblin Toss and finds himself a seat in the grass. Obviously this gnoll was not a dangerous creature and he could not help but find himself amused at the idea of watching it play a game such as this. He bit into the incredibly sweet and delicious pastry he had found with relish.

Sigmund finds himself wandering aimlessly through a myriad of pavilions, looking for anything that may catch his eye. His smile is wide as he passes the many joyous townsfolk and he shares a laugh with a pretty girl who stumbles into him. He wonders if perhaps he may run into Daviren Hosk, though he only has a vague idea what the man looks like. As he considers his eyes also roam for any possible priests of Desna, eager to speak to a fellow disciple. He notices a suspicious looking half-orc weaving his way through the crowds but decides not to question it. Today was a day for happiness and comradery, not mistrust.

It wasn't yet a moment since he had arrived in Sandpoint and Sigmund found himself delighted. He hadn't even realized a festival honouring Desna was taking place in Sandpoint. The fact that such a festival was taking place with such perfect timing made him feel blessed by his goddess and filled with new purpose in his decision to travel here. Now then... where will I find this Daviren Hosk? he thinks with a glance around the streets crowded with celebrating, joyous people. A smile comes to his lips to see such merriment. The world was a rough place sometimes, and it was always a pleasure to find goodhearted celebration. His glance reveals that everyone is heading for the chapel overlooking town. He decides his other business can wait and begins to follow the crowd, eager to join them in their tribute to Desna.
He certainly isn't a fan of lying, but he wouldn't cut someone down for being a con artist. I think he would find it difficult to watch the innocent be swindled though and would find them untrustworthy at first. But that doesn't necessarily mean he couldn't work with a con artist towards a greater good and eventually form a bond of friendship. |
