I got your PM and I can say I am interested and willing to alter Sigmund a bit to fit into Eberron. I've never had a chance to play in Eberron but I have read several novels and some splatbooks and the setting sounds super cool. How closely will you be following RotRL? Is Sandpoint still basically the same village, are gobilins still their main worry? Oh, and do you have any interest in using background skills? They are probably my favorite part of unchained.

"I do not require pay for such a service. I will gladly join you as soon as you desire to go." Sigmund nods to the Hemlock with a smile.

Male Human Paladin 1

"Very well, thank you for letting me know," he offers elderly halfling a reassuring smile.
The sheriff hmm? I wonder if he expects a repeat performance of yesterday? I will gladly help clense this place of the goblin filth.
Sigmund hastily dresses himself and gathers his equipment. He heads downstairs with a spring in his step and a smile on his face.

Initiative: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

Apparently Sigmund isn't very quick on the draw

Sigmund readies an arrow. The death of the dog was unfortunate, but preventing the death of the man was the priority now.

Male Human Paladin 1

Sigmund collects what arrows he can, glad to see no more injuries. He sighs and nods to Conall, "Disgusting creatures, interrupting a festival such as this. We have to get them out of the city quickly. I am all for heading to the gates!"

Male Human Paladin 1

Seeing Naele take care of the injured goblin, Sigmund lets loose an arrow at the uninjured creature.

Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20
Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 6

Male Human Paladin 1

Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20
Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 1

Sigmund attempts to finish off the wounded goblin as quickly as possible with a swiftly fired arrow that only grazes the creature.

Male Human Paladin 1

Sigmund gathers himself as he sees the Goblin begin to chant. The vile creature could not be up to any good. With a deep breath he focuses on the creature, a cold divine rage building up inside him as he advances forward and releases another arrow towards it. The arrow seems to flash as it flies towards its target.

Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17 +1 = 18 w/ point blank shot
Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5 +1 = 6 w/ point blank shot

Moves closer to it, hoping to get in point blank shot range then uses smite evil on the warchanter and then attacks it.

Thikka hasn't replied in a while, should I just jump ahead in initiative? If we keep losing party members like this perhaps we should open a new recruitment thread and restart? At least we know a couple of us want to stick around, so we could even do a different campaign if you guys aren't feeling RotRL. Just spitballing here.

Male Human Paladin 1

Sigmund sighs in frustration as he pulls back another arrow. These goblins are tricky, finishing it off quickly would have been preferred.

Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 1

He release the arrow and it finally hits the goblin, but only with a graze.

Male Human Paladin 1

Sigmund takes aim at the third remaining and only living goblin. He lets his arrow fly with vengeance.

Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14
Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 7

Male Human Paladin 1

The third goblin is still alive correct?

Male Human Paladin 1

I'm not quite sure how far away they are, but I am assuming a longbow will have range.

Sigmund lets an arrow fly at one of the goblins attacking civilians.

Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20
Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 2

Male Human Paladin 1

Init: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

Sigmund is surprised to see goblins interrupting the party and his reaction is a bit sluggish as he unslings his bow, then draws an arrow and pulls back his bowstring. Ready to let fly.

Male Human Paladin 1

Sigmund finds himself in the Rusty Dragon and immediately picks out two men that stand out from the rest. One with violet eyes and mysterious tattoos, the other carrying many weapons. The man of weapons is ordering food so Sigmund sidles up behind him, waiting his turn. Already deciding he will sit with one of these two men and see if either has any interesting stories to tell.

Male Human Paladin 1

Sigmund finds himself enjoying a wide variety of foods, he is not one to turn down food. After all, as a soldier you never know when your next proper meal will be.

He watches the Gnoll bow after taking his score and feels a bit of a shift in his world view. He had never met a polite Gnoll before.

Male Human Paladin 1

Sigmund is also just watching and waiting, not much else he wants to do.

Male Human Paladin 1

Sigmund notices a gnoll in line to play Goblin Toss and finds himself a seat in the grass. Obviously this gnoll was not a dangerous creature and he could not help but find himself amused at the idea of watching it play a game such as this. He bit into the incredibly sweet and delicious pastry he had found with relish.

Male Human Paladin 1

Sigmund finds himself wandering aimlessly through a myriad of pavilions, looking for anything that may catch his eye. His smile is wide as he passes the many joyous townsfolk and he shares a laugh with a pretty girl who stumbles into him. He wonders if perhaps he may run into Daviren Hosk, though he only has a vague idea what the man looks like.

As he considers his eyes also roam for any possible priests of Desna, eager to speak to a fellow disciple. He notices a suspicious looking half-orc weaving his way through the crowds but decides not to question it. Today was a day for happiness and comradery, not mistrust.

Male Human Paladin 1

It wasn't yet a moment since he had arrived in Sandpoint and Sigmund found himself delighted. He hadn't even realized a festival honouring Desna was taking place in Sandpoint. The fact that such a festival was taking place with such perfect timing made him feel blessed by his goddess and filled with new purpose in his decision to travel here. Now then... where will I find this Daviren Hosk? he thinks with a glance around the streets crowded with celebrating, joyous people. A smile comes to his lips to see such merriment. The world was a rough place sometimes, and it was always a pleasure to find goodhearted celebration. His glance reveals that everyone is heading for the chapel overlooking town. He decides his other business can wait and begins to follow the crowd, eager to join them in their tribute to Desna.

He certainly isn't a fan of lying, but he wouldn't cut someone down for being a con artist. I think he would find it difficult to watch the innocent be swindled though and would find them untrustworthy at first. But that doesn't necessarily mean he couldn't work with a con artist towards a greater good and eventually form a bond of friendship.

"Unsavoury? When you say unsavoury I think slavers and traitors!"

As he tries to follow the teachings of Desna, Sigmund is a little less strict than most Paladins, but he will never put up with those who keep others in bondage or betray their friends.

Logan, Sigmund is a ranged character, not melee. It's intimidating to be grouped with so many melee characters haha.

My sole Rise of the Runelords character who almost got a chance to play in a real life game that never took off. He is a human Paladin who focuses on the use of the longbow. I might update him a bit, but he's mostly all there.

Submitting Sigmund the Paladin who uses a bow as his tool of choice for delivering holy justice to evil.

He is mostly complete, probably a few things here and there that I will tweek.
