Seth smiles as he listen.

"Have you had any run-ins with the Arbites?"

"Fine words, magos. But are you willing to do what must be done to save mankind?"

Interrogator Kaplan returns with an accordion file slung under one arm.

"This fellow appears promising. Have him here for the interview. I will see his measure."

A slim attendant, one that would have been described as desirable, if not for the fact that you are of the Mechanicum, beckons you to follow.

Moments later you are ushered into the inquisitor's presence.

Seth Loki, the inquisitor, is wearing what appears to be an ancient power armor; while across his back is stowed a force sword.

"Greetings, magos, you have sought me and here I am. You are here for a position in my retinue. I have to warn you: service to me is often fatal. You may back out now without loss of honor."

"Sir. I served as lasgunner and heavy stubber support Guardsman. For a short time, I also served as assistant squad leader following the Battle of Lords Secundus, when our platoon leader, commisar, and most of our squad leadership were slain in a heretic's mortar strike."

Zek does not move from his parade rest position, as he rattles off several more examples of his time as a line infantry gunner.

"The Guard cashiered me out, regs on age and length of service, they said. So I got my pension funds, and been looking for Imperial service since then. Here I am, sir. Ready to serve, as you need."

"Speak to me what you are willing to do for the Imperium. Will you wager your very soul to protect mankind?"

"Speak to me of your record, Zek. What were your duties as a member of 121st Battalion?" Inquisitor Seth Loki looks at you intently, the well-worn hilt of a sword jutting from behind his right shoulder.

The infamous inquisitor, Seth Loki, arrives once more at the Tricorn Palace on Scintilla, the only survivor of his latest venture. What else is new. Now he needs new fodder for a scheme he is concocting. Suffice it to say, his prudish, puritanical brethren wants evidence so they can sanction him. But those of a radical bent argue that he delivers results.

Whatever you are, Seth Loki will be conducting interviews.

Being hive-born, Seth find nothing amiss to the swirling mass of people that is before him. Like Liam, he too cuts an easy path through them.

Just chiming in as Nimon extended an invitation in our other game thread.

I can submit either Brother Calculus of the Iron Hands or Brother Hrothgar of the Space Wolves.

Or submit an entirely new character.

oh and I am doing an interest check for deathwatch on the recruitment forum btw.

If the penal legionnaire wont be coming, I suggest we deal with the matter in game now.

As in all things, Seth is keeping a watchful eye on everyone as he heads for the hangar deck.

Seth packs his gear.

He then checks out directions for the hangar deck.

"Let's suspend discussion on the matter of our quarry until we have met with our contact."

"Anyone know how long our journey to Vaxanhive is?"

Seth listens to the others' discussion into what motivates a heretic.

"Yes, Gaius. Our mission is to find our quarry. A difficult task if we have to search a hive. What I propose is to basically attract their attention and get them to come to us by offering something they need. Muscle. In the underhive, reputation counts for much and I suggest that we find the toughest, meanest hombres down there and smack them down and take over their turf. This demonstration of strength will not only establish our street cred but would also deflect any suspicion of us being agents of those in power. Lastly, and most importantly, our demonstration of strength will compel our quarry to seek us out, if not to hire us, then at least to sound us out and find out our intentions."

"Moreover, our prey won't think of us as 'Inquistion'".

"Our contact onsite should be able to confirm my assumptions."

"And if that doesn't work, we nevertheless do get protection money and women in the bargain hahahaha"

"Guys," Seth beckons to SlimGrim and Liam, "am thinking of running a scam as a way of establishing our street creds downside. What do you think?"

For 100 exp, you gained a +3 to every stat and +1 wound. Losing a fate point, as far as the package goes, is not that big of a loss when you get about 1k exp in bonuses. The ONLY drawback to that package is the fact that you develop a rule-set version of an acute delusion based on the righteousness of the inquisition. The chances of that not applying are slim.

Just remember: You did imply that the Inquisitor was using unsanctioned psykers, which is in itself an accusation of radicalism if not outright heresy.

Proven Innocent dictates that you believe the Inquisition is infallible. The Inquisition has chosen each of us to work together and that is a cell. You are compromising the mission with the intent of violence. Bond doesn't matter, this is law.

Will wait for a ruling from the GM.

Skarr, we have not really bonded yet. So unless the inquisitor rules otherwise....
