Were there any materials from 1E or 2E dealing with psionics and ninjas that could be converted? Wasn't there an article in Dragon about psionic ninjas a few years ago?

I think a merchant campaign based on like the Silk Road, but like set on Toril, would be really cool. It would like tie the FR, Kara-tur, and Al-Qadim campaigns together, have like scads of opportunities for like combat and stuff, and still have lots of non-combat encounters opportunites for those of us less interested in like rolling handfuls of dice...

Duuude... This girl in my coven like totally freaked when she saw me carrying a copy of Dragon #115, screaming at me about how it like stereotyped witches and put down women and stuff...
...What a like total dufus! She was like so b%~@@y to me after that I had to like go in exile and find a new coven. That just like totally sucked...

Are there like any psionic variants of the ninja? I like really love psionics and ninjas, they would just totally make a great combination, but I like haven't seen any ninja-style classes that use psionics. Can like anyone help me?

Once a year is like so not enough...
