I've never really looked at the metamagic feats before, but I'm making a witch and just messing around but I have a few questions that I just want cleared up..
For bouncing spell "Level Increase: +1 (a bouncing spell uses up a spell slot one level higher than the spell’s actual level.)"
So say I use a level 1 spell, and it fails and I want to bounce it to some other guy it uses up a second level spell slot. But what if I don't have any? Say I used up all the second level spells or am just level one and I dont have any second level spells does that mean I just can't do it? Also I'm assuming if I do use it and I do have second level spell slots open, I can just choose whichever prepared second level spell and cross it?
Also lets say I have the Magical Lineage trait that says "Pick one spell when you choose this trait. When you apply metamagic feats to this spell that add at least 1 level to the spell, treat its actual level as 1 lower for determining the spell's final adjusted level."
would that make that first level spell that'd turn into a second stay a first level spell?
And lastly (that I can think of) does the level fluctuation of the spells affect the spell in any other way that I might just not have read about?
