Male Human

"Thank you all for helping me find this place - my place." Approaching Caylen, "And you my dear" He embraces Caylen like a daughter. "You take care of these three." Elbowing Aak in a jesting motion, "and you watch her back." With that he wipes a tear from his eye with a bit of his sleeve that isn't caked with dirt and resumes his work in the garden.

Male Human

Earlier before heading to dinner. Sam approaches Timoteo. Room selections: Left side: Room 2, Timoteo; Room 4, Shayne; Room 6; & Room 8. Right side: Room 1, Mal'c; Room 3; Room 5; & Room 7.

Hesitantly, with concern Sam stutters a bit before blurting out, "I must check on the horse. I've left her tied near the monastery entrance." Timoteo smiles, "she has been brought into our stables, but if you wish I can bring you there now." Sam smiles and nods, "I'd very much like that. I'm to excited to eat much anyway."

With that Sam follows Timoteo down the hallway.

Later in the dining hall, Timoteo returns.
"Your fellow traveler is tending to the injured horse you brought with you. We'll be sure to set aside food for him. I must help with the meal. Please let me know if you need anything."

Male Human

As soon as Caylen wakes, Sam approaches. He holds a bowl of food he has nearly finished and a bowl he's just gotten from Brother Dow'mis.

"Hungry? I hope you slept well. I can't wait to get to the monastery."

Male Human

Too Silx, "That's a misery close to my heart." Sam's laughter is tinged with loss.

Male Human

For the next verse Sam steps forward leading the movement by walking in a circle in the manner of an important person, one hand at his side and the other in a fist at his chin.

"'Greedy lords!' grumbles the City, 'tax the people until they have nothing.
'I'll make them so poor that they will wish they were dead.
Every man, woman, and child will work and have nothing in the end'
The others complain that the misery will be lost in the dust of the city"

The chorus and circling repeat.

Male Human

Sam nods.
"Aye, a bit of warmth would be nice wouldn't it. It's to cold for the gardens to be vibrant, but I'd like to see them all the same."

Male Human

Turning to Caylen as the path widens and the footing becomes easier.

"I wonder what sights we'll see at the end of this path?"

Male Human

Sam nods knowingly. He stands, patting Caylen on the shoulder before walking over to check on the horse.

Male Human

Sam pats the horse after wedging it's harness into a crack in one of the large rocks using a dagger. He approaches Caylen.

"You seem worried. What bites at you other than the cold wind?"

Spoiler:

"You are right not to give your trust immediately. nodding Though I can't say for sure, I trust the brother. I've never had a reason to distrust a monk. Many a time when things got rough, they came through the ravaged land I'm from with food for those with the most need.

Male Human

Caylen:
Sam turns to you, "I'm glad you decided to come with us. Seems like a quite night. What do you think of our fellows?"

Male Human

Perception roll for Caylen (during the watch).
Sam's (the farmer) perception roll: 1d20 ⇒ 11

Male Human

The farmer steps forward, after securing the horse to one of the trees.

"I'm well rested. I'd be happy to take the first watch, though I welcome any company to pass the time with," the farmer speaks as he smiles broadly.
