Are they speaking Aquan? I can understand Aquan

In Aquan she speaks "We shall spare you and yours. We will take your hoard for the trouble, but know if you harm another Ship from Mother Africa I shall come back and wipe you out, every last one of you1" she says as she then turns to the others.

Switching to the common shared language of her peers she looks at the others and speaks."Let us take their treasure and then move on. We have to figure out how we are gonna get topside. There might be something here to get the boats back to the surface and on our way to Europa to fight for the Pope, and then back to freeing my land from the shackles of oppression"

The beaten sahuagin readily agree to the witch's terms, and make no move to stop the adventurers from filling their bags of holding with the entirety of the fishfolks' treasure...

In Aquan: Take it all, airbreathers, and go! Just don't kill anymore of us or harm our eggs, or the curse of Dagon be on thee!

Seeing the battle quickly turn against them as the mighty heroes now down their front rank in under twelve seconds, the remaining seven sahuagin, three of them overwhelmed by Habiba's crushing despair, turn back the way they came from and flee for their lives!

Full withdraw back toward their lair...

Johann releases his frustration on the enemy!

not sure of the map setup ATM... Johann bites anything and everything close by! And moves if he has to!

Cobra Johann strikes down a sahuagin and its tiger shark companion with two swift bites!

7 SAHUAGIN and 2 tiger sharks remain conscious and fighting, though they look shaken and ready to retreat...

Habiba unleashes a cone of mental energy, inducing an extreme sense of the futile nature of this combat in their enemies!

Crushing Despair; 30 ft cone, DC 20 Will negates or take -2 to all d20 rolls.

Habiba's well-aimed psychic cone of crushing despair catches four of the sahuagin...

Will save vs DC 20 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23 saves...
Will 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9 fails...
Will 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7 fails...
Will 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12 fails... Three are overcome by the psychic despair!

I'm not clear on what's near me, so I'm just going to take all my attacks and you apply as many as possible.

Angry that the tooth-fishes ignored his offer, Zagathoth unloads a flurry of punches at whatever enemies come near him.

Zagathoth lands powerful blows that fell two of the sahuagin as they draw near enough to strike...

Minor mistake (I copied a previous character's statline), my Init is +0, so I'm at 17.

Habiba aims to conserve her more powerful magic for the foes that require it (and is not much of a combatant in any case). She experimentally sends a weak mental probe at one of the Sahuagin to test their mental defenses.

Undercasting Mind Thrust III as I.

Will save DC 16 for half damage.

Will save 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13 fails!

Seemingly stunned by a mental slap in the face, the sahuagin hisses in anguish!

Smelling blood in the water from their two fellows and three pet sharks struck lifeless by Cobra Johann and Zagathoth, the remaining ten sahuagin form a trident phalanx and advance carefully and menacingly through the water toward the great cobra and his allies...

Move action to form a phalanx (granting all 10 sahuagin a +2 shield bonus to AC as long as they stay in formation), second move action to close to melee with Cobra Johann, Zagathoth, and Ihrin...

Ihrin up for a challenge pushes off the ground and seeks to attack the first creature she comes too. A trident baring fish man. With steeled eyes, she thrusts forward with her blade seeking to stab hard while bringing her other dagger up to guard herself form the thrust.

Ihrin's blade finds its mark in the sahuagin's chest! It hisses as crimson blood clouds the water...

Reflex save vs DC 13 grease on weapon 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21 succeeds...

In spite of Fox's grease spell lubricating the trident, the sahuagin keeps a firm grip on the weapon...

1 person marked this as a favorite.

As cool as I think the extra crab pincer is, surely one of my companions would be more properly helped by the weapon! If you could, MJ, give it's stat block again?

Johann swims toward the sharks and sahaugin on the right! Surely, if any of his teammates don't want to be pulled along, they had better let go now! Free action to release and not be dragged to melee

Johann gets within 10 feet of a sharks and bites!

Cobra Johann's deadly fangs pierce the nearest tiger shark deeply, killing it almost instantly!

As a sahuagin attempts to swim in close enough to stab the deadly serpent with its trident, Cobra Johann lashes out First AoO and strikes it lifeless!

A second shark comes within Cobra Johann's superior reach, and he strikes again, rendering this one lifeless and belly up as well second AoO...

A second sahuagin gets too close, and *SNAP!!* the jaws of Cobra Johann decapitate the sea devil in one bite third AoO!

First spotted by those with the best underwater vision and highest Perception checks, at a distance of some 60 feet (Perception DC 20 beyond 60 ft; DC 6 at 60 ft., DC 5 at 50 ft., etc), the scouting party of sahuagin and their tiger shark thralls becomes apparent to all but the most oblivious among the heroes...

Emerging from the deep blue gloom, a dozen fish-like humanoids brandishing bronze tridents, accompanied by half as many big striped sharks, swim at a menacing pace toward the wreck of the Alanqilis! Their cold black eyes are like doll's eyes, lifeless, until they bite you...

From somewhere to the northwest, perhaps from the shining greenish temple-looking structure of orichalcum on the outer southwest ring encircling the outermost ring-shaped canal, comes the reverberating drone of a conch horn sounding an alarm!

*AAAAOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!*

The band of sahuagin scouts and tiger sharks sent out to hunt down the wreck are alerted that the sahuagin watchman at their stronghold has spotted the sea serpent Sargasso, or some other danger, in their vicinity!
