It is now quite obvious that the panicked Goblin has never actually considered that something might be resistant to his preferred alchemical product. He quickly fumbles around in his bag before producing two small vials of green liquid- which he proceeds to throw at purple humanoid and orange fox.

"I can make more. Drink! I can make more. Zabu needs too!" as he fumbles in his bag, pulling out the reagents needed to make more of the Elixirs I had 2 made, and I have reagents to make 2 more. I also still have 5 vials of acid, zero alchemist fire

"Acid no work. Bomb do better!" as he lobs another vial toward the red otter. His face melts in disbelief as another of his precious alchemists fires falls harmlessly in the water. Retrieving another, he again finds the vials accuracy to be disproportionate to his excitement in throwing it...

Not really sure how this is going to go. Greater difficult terrain with a movement speed of 25 at baseline is going to be pretty slow going...

From the back of his Goblin dog mount, Fumbus pulls two small vials of a swirling red liquid. "Eat this! Fire on fur! Fire on Fur! HAHAHA"

Heading the opposite direction of the stables, Fumbus looks for a run down building on the edge of the encampment. Glancing about, he finds what he is looking for- a lone goblin on lookout duty.

Greenskin always watch longshanks. I know one is here!

He calls out to Goblin "I have shiny. Need goblin dog. You bring dog, I give shiny. Hurry, else I make you burn!" The creature disappears into the woods and returns about 10 minutes later- a giant flaky, dandruff laden, rat ROUS. He tosses 4 coins to the creature, who quickly disappears back into the woods.

Hoping on the creature, he rides back into the encampment to join his fellow pathfinders.

Meet Licemaster. Finest dog in all of Findar! Ready to go now"

And he rides off, signing to himself.
"Licemaster comes and treks beside
Pathfinders near and wide
Better than stupid pony or horse
Cause it would eat them, of course of course!"

I would vote that, once we hit the river, we follow it south for a stretch. Otherwise, I think that is an appropriate start based on what we know.

I am very new to PF2 (played 2 games in beta, and have played one game local). The gameplay and action economy make a lot of sense to me (still learning some things, like exploration modes). I have been playing essentially the same system (3.0 -> 3.5 -> PF1) for the better part of 20 years.

But character building has been a bit of a bear. I have made a couple characters for kicks and giggles, but there is a lot I just don't get (like archetypes). Other things are taking me a while to digest all the options (like backgrounds). All things that I'll figure out with time and exposure.

Naming NPC animals is always dangerous!

"Oh yes! Barn is conundrum to best Goblin philosophers!! I accept answer of 'burn neighbor barn instead' though answer is not settled. Much more debate to be had!"

Fumbus' eyes go wide with the description of extra flammable trees. "Have heard many charhides speak of wonder of Findar Fire! Booms and smoke filled the sky! Flames licked the clouds! We go to hallowed ground!!"

As the others scamper off to aquire mounts Fumbus looks over at Hopper. "How you get wolfie? No is dog! Longshanks like their horses- they lucky I no have horsechopper, so they will be safe. I have dogslicer! Can't have dogs, else I slice them! Ahahaha Hahah"

He turns back to Master Greathammer. "Where you keep Goblin dogs?"

"Goblin dog went out lunch! Found himself in city!
Ate his food with men so rude- they never even noticed him!"

I agree that an extra action per hex is a big deal. Fumbus probably wont ride a horse or a dog... being in a party where some will be present is a enough self control.

A cart is a possibility, but probably makes moving/maneuvering more difficult. I would "pony" up for a goblin dog if that is an option offered by the voice in the sky.

He looks about the circle, hopefully seeking agreement of the other pathfinders.

"Yes! Jamya understand. No know if she likes the booms, but books go burn. Why place trust in things that burn. Maybe gone. Likely gone!"

Slipping into the circle, a small green creature pokes his head in.

"I be Fumbus. Pathfinder like one green skin in each. They no trust the longshanks! Must represent fire-eater! Bomber. BOMB! HAHAHAHA. Fire no scary. Fire is friends."

It is only at this moment that his face goes to an expression of shock.

"Nother fire-bomb! Pathfinder sent for wrong Fumbus. This Fumbus right Fumbus! Why need...." he trails off- slack jaw starring at the books in the doctors hand.

I played an alchemist in the beta of PF2, but haven't played it otherwise. The only "real" PF2 character I have played is a cleric.

But, since we have another goblin alchemist I would be happy to change to something else. As I mentioned, the choices at 3 are a little scarce.

I think I am going to play Fumbus. He is the only of the level 3 pregens that I really care for. It is unfortunate that so few of the pregens have a level 3 option.

I have played in other scenarios where that is all that was required (1-07) so I can understand the confusion

"Well. I suppose we can come up with something to help you out. I think a new ID card and infosphere documentation would probably be a good start. I don't have any skill in that, mind you, but I am sure one of my companions does. Never you worry!"

The faking the death part is going to be the hard part, as I am pretty sure that the computer people can fabricate a new ID/infosphere stuff pretty simply. I don't really have too many ideas, if I am being honest

Turning to a more pointed conversation, "It is information that the starfinder's seek. Any details involving these large corporations could have immense value in the right hands." He pauses for a moment before moving on. "I would imagine that if the Starfinders were able to find this location, that perhaps Bluerise might be capable as well?"

I could make an argument either way. If we get our full speed this round, we are the only team that can cross the line. If we don't get our full speed then it will be a much closer race. GM: what happens if we use the speed boost and "fail" the piloting check? Would we still get the 600 (300 x2) or does it cancel out? What if we stall out entirely? Thanks!

I would never complain about using a reroll on a natural 1. That said, it may come in handy in the later rounds to ensure a hit if we need a hit...

From the stands, Altronus cheers on his starfinders- also keeping an eye out for any issues that might arise from the remote racer control.

Navasi and Altronus (Man. Altronus is a very poorly built character, all things considered) are equal. 1d20+2-1

I would vote we put our 3 best gunners on the Kinetic weapons, and then its a coinflip for Navasi or Altronus on the energy gun.

I am happy to let Navasi take the controls, or alternate rounds, or whatever.

"Either way, I think we have made a reasonable deal..." Altronus starts to walk back out toward the starfinder garage, stops and turns back to Lemgem. "Oh, and make sure you don't use any energy weapons on Ratrod- they only make his racer go faster"
