Rowän squats and stares at the panels, in silence, for several minutes trying to pry a solution from her mind. ”I’m not sure. We could just start moving the panels and see what happens,” she replied to Estelle with a shrug.

Maybe you need to wear the amulet, Rowän suggested as she put the amulet around her neck and tried the door.
Rowän rushes over and tends to Astella, ”Be still.”
Rowän and Briersting stand guard as the others search.
Rowän shakes her head, ”I’d rather avoid bats. Let’s try the left.”
Rowän takes a moment to observer the spider trying to find a week spot in its defenses. She swings at an opening but times her strike poorly.
The Druid holds onto her bow with one hand while drawing her sickle. She crouches low as she lunges at the spider and yells, Briersting attack NOW!”
”Ouch, Rowän yells feeling weaker as the poison courses through her.
Crud, the Druid curses as she tries to shoot her sticky bow. She tries to call Briersting to her side, ”Defend,”
Rowän move forward with Daniel at her side, to caught up in her own thoughts to notice what is going on around her.
Rowän scratches Briersting behind his ears, ”Good job boy.”
Rowan moves trying to get a clear shot and fires another arrow while commanding Brier sting to attack.
Rowän takes a moment and focuses on the closest bat then she notched and arrow and fires with a blur. She commands Briersting, ”Guard!
Rowän agrees with Estelle, ”Best we find out more about this unknown sound.”
”Good job,” the Druid says sarcastically to the cat. With the light Astella provided Rowän, bow at the ready, leads the way into the temple inviting Briersting to follow, ”Come on boy”
Rowän raises an eyebrow at the exchange between Estelle and Astella. She thinks about holding her tongue but can’t, ”Astella we appreciate your good intentions but Estelle is right we should decide as a team how we spend our funds or who we team up with.” She continued, ”However, we can’t undo what has been done so let’s make the best of it. And be on our guard,” she added.
Rowän nodded in agreement at her companions remarks, ”Seems there might be more going on here then meets the eye. Perhaps we should discretely watch her room until it is time for our meeting.”
”This is the best darn soup I think I’ve ever had,” the druid remarks. As Brunhild gets up she asks, ”If you’re not going to finish yours can I have it?”
Rowän continues to eat oblivious to all that happens around her.
Rowän walks over and chimes in, muttering something unhelpful.
The druid sits back and enjoys the bard's performance Joining in load and off-key during the refrain. She knows her limits and shakes her head at Estelle's suggestion, "You can't please everybody lass." --------------------------
The Druid’s stomach rumbles distracting her from what’s going on around her. As she looks around the inn she wonders what is available from the kitchen tonight.
Rowän motions for Briersting to follow as she makes her way into the Two Palms Inn.
Rowan carefully looks around for the elusive berries. She is about to walk by a bush when Sally points them out. The druid's ears turn red at almost missing her quarry.
Rowän suggests, ”we still have time no need to rush into picking a name.” After listening to the ideas she agrees with Estelle’s logic, ”Forest first.”
Rowän reminds her companions, ”Remember, we are in a competition perhaps it’s best we take the offer. We don’t want to miss out on the real prize by standing here haggling over a few coin.” If no one objects Rowän will accept the offer.
”Best we sell the crab first and use the gold gained to buy some of the items on the list, Rowän agrees with Daniel.
Little risk in accepting this offer, Rowän thought. Not wanting to interrupt the negotiations, she holds her tongue. If anyone asks her, she will agree to the Sally's terms.
Rowän gestures to the beach, We we’re wondering what happened to all the shells? And where we could find some?”
”Don’t be so hard on yourself luv. We all be a wee bit rusty, I shot three arrows at the beast and nary a one hit. If it wasn’t for Daniel we all might of found ourselves as crab food,” the Druid says earnestly.
With Daniel vanquishing the crab Rowän rushes over to her fallen comrade calling down nature’s blessing as she lays her hands upon Estelle’s wounds.
Trying to aim through the crowd around the crab Rowän let another arrow fly while she encourages her cat to press its attack.
The druid notches and released another arrow at the skittering crab. She motions to Breirsting telling him to attack.
The druid observes the armored monstrosity taking a moment looking for weak points. Those claws look dangerous, Rowän concludes as she orders Breirsting, "Guard! She draws her bow, releases an arrow, and curses as she rushes her shot, "Crud nuggets!"
I knew it wouldn’t be that simple, Rowän thought while she scanned the desolate beach. She looks toward her companions, pointing, ”By the look of those footprints it seems like someone was here searching before us.”
Rowan sighs, knowing loss, she is reluctant to form attachments again. Squinting into the distance, " I was raised on a farm in the Turalean Forest about a two days walk from Pierpont. Trained as a druid during the war and I'm here trying to make a new life." She shrugs and stares at the horizion.
Briersting stared at the proffered fish, motionless but muscles tensed, ready to pounce. The tawny cat cocks it’s head toward the Druid with a look of impatience. Rowan shrugs at the cat, ”If you want it go ahead.” Like a blur the cat grabs the fish and begins to purr contently. ”It ain’t up to me if you pet him. He can make is own choice on that.” She lets out a lopsided grin, ”Go ahead of you are brave enough.”
Rowän awakes early and wolfs down the offered breakfast. After much encouragement, she convinces Briersting to board the ship and tries to find an out-of-the-way corner of the deck for them to claim.
Noting her flaccid coin purse Rowän pipes up, "I don't need my own room either."
Rowän puts some thought into a name for the adventuring group but nothing seems to fit. She is inspired as she sets her heys on Briersting’s tawny coat and suggests, ”How about The Tawny Band or The Tawny Knights for our name?”
”As long as this tavern is close,” Rowän said as she quickly rose from the table. With wry smile she gestured at Briersting with her thumb while she answers Estelle, ”Wherever I go he goes.”
At Astella’s reminder of food Rowän jumps into the conversation before Brunhild has a chance to respond, ”Nice to be meeting you all. I’m called Rowän, Druid trained during the war.” She gives a lopsided grin as she looks down at the lounging cat, ”This here is Briersting my bodyguard and professional lazybones.” The cats ears perked up when it’s name is mention but quickly looses interest and licks his paws. ”I vote food first too,” she agrees as her stomach rumbles loudly accentuating her words.
Between remarks and introductions with her table mates Rowän observed those at the other tables. Interesting, she makes a mental note to keep an eye on the table with the goblin.
After hearing your plans I agree the stat bonus would be the way to go. Regardless an extra feat or +2 are good options to have.
That’s a hard call. I guess it depends on the specific build you have in mind and how feat intensive it is. My gut says keep the feat and lower your dex and increase your cha.
Rowän lets out a short guffaw be before replying, ”Briersting is more a friend than a pet. But she definitely isn’t a circus animal and is good to have around if things start getting bloody.” She is about to say more when Stella comes up to the pair and introduces herself. ”Right nice to be meeting you too,” she says sincerely. ”We just got here ourselves. I’m called Rowän and,” she adds with a wide grin, ”the dwarf here is holding on to her name like dragon hoarding it’s treasure.” She looks to dwarf nodding her head in the direction of Stella’s weapon, ”Now that’s a hammer.”

The waifish druid sauntered into the hall, a look of mischief in her eye. At her side moves a tawny, lynx-like, cat which looks around the hall unconcerned. Rowän ignores the rough men and their banter while she checks in with the clerk. With the formalities done Rowän finds a table and takes a seat next to an unimposing dwarven woman with a bow. With a slight nod of her head, she says in greeting, "Good day Mistress, I hope the day has treated you well." Not waiting for a reply she takes a seat and extends her hand, "I hope you don't mind if I join you. I'm called Rowän." She reaches down and scratches the indifferent cat stretched out at her feet, "And this little furball is Briersting." |
