roel turns up in the lunchroom, in his non-humanoid form. After ordering a tray with bunch of random stuff, and devoring the tray and the food, he listens around for a while, thinking.

Roel and Kevin work out several new abilities through the night, as well as demonstrations of some they already have.

Aside from several forms changing up, a couple odd things happen...

"Hunh. Neat. Yeah, let's get food."

roel and Kevin spend the rest of the night doing Science things.

"Oh, i wasn't worried. I don't really care about it. I didn't get to know it or anything, so if you did kill it, it would be no different then killing some random squirrel. I just had no idea how to respond to any of that."
roel falls back into his undefined form.
"Yeah, let's go."

"Maybe I co- hurk!"

He is stopped abruptly as it jumps into his open mouth.
"Forget it. You can stay in there if you're going to be stupid."
It works its way down his long throat and into his belly.
It gets there and moves rapidly trying to move back up, but is stopped by his tightened control on it.
It stays there thrashing around, trying to get out.
"Heh. Kinda tickles."

"Uh... I don't know what to say to that."

"Agreed. You can come along if you want. If you don't have anything better to do."

He puts his coat back on, planning on drying it out later.
He reaches into his top pocket to check on Jello.
He pulls it out and then looks confused.
He reaches back in and pulls out another one the same size.
"Oh, I forgot you were near your split time. Shouldn't have gotten you wet."
The second orange ooze jumps at his face and tries to get at his mouth.
"No. Bad."
He pulls it off.
"What to do with you. I have no more test to run. I've done everything with you guys that's possible."
He looks to Roel.
"Amber oozes are bred to climb into people's guts and bond there, poisoning them slowly. If that doesn't work, they start getting burned by stomach acid. They try to climb back up and get away. This one doesn't know it won't work, but if I let it go, it could keep splitting and turn into a big problem. Ideas?"

"I Donno."

"Boring is better then explosions. Explosions are loud."

"I don't know. I'm usually either asleep or experimenting on something right now."

"Hmm... Maybe you should do that? I don't know."

"Uh... Not sure. What do you usually do?"
roel doesn't even give the changes a second thought.

"Oh. That's. Uh. That's a chemistry thing. Never mind."

"Alright then."

"Uh... Ok. "

"Yeah, i could, maybe do staves... What's a waterbender?"
benders aren't common knowladge, so roel wouldn't know.

"We have plenty of those. If i was to make something, it would be better to make things that this place doesn't have many of. Like staves, or rings."
he enters a semi-humanoid from, but it looks almost like his human form is melting.
"Yeah, i should expel the extra water by the end of the night."

roel gets off Kevin when he leaves the water. He's a good bit bigger now, and a lot more dull of a green.
"If I'm making things, i want to make useful things. There's no point to sculptures."

"What's the point if it's not practical?"

"Well, there's always other hobbies. What else would you like to try?"

"Crafting doesn't sound bad, just... The things you've offered seem impractical."

"I'm a nearly immortal being that can spellcast and fight with an acidic whip. I don't really need to use magic items for myself."

"But you cast hold more powerful things in them. Other forms of crafting just seem better."

"I don't know. From what i understand, potions don't tend to be all that useful... What's new?"

"Maybe we can find a hobby you'd like. If you can do magic, maybe you could try crafting."

"Being made of acid doesn't support that. If i get distracted, i tend to melt things."

"Well, if you can't sleep biologically, you probably don't need to.That must free up a lot of your time. I knew oozes didn't, but I didn't make the connection that I might not. Cool. More time for study."

"It gives me a lot of free time i don't know what to do with."

"Do you remember sleeping as you are? If not, then it's likely you don't need to."

"I chat sleep, even if i want to. I've attempted to after i showed up."

"Oozes don't sleep. No need to. Though, lack of sleep has adverse effects on humans... Wonder if it has had any effect on me, and I'm too used to it to tell."

"Yes, and yes."
the green slime covering Ramos bubbles.

"Not so much in the water. Causes problems."

"Meh. If you want to. I don't hear anything."

"No idea. Nothing important probably. There are all sorts of weird things around here. I mean, look at me."

roel wraps himself carefully around Kevin, as to not restrict his movements.

"Yeah, that's very interesting."
roel doesn't seem terribly impressed... Though he doesn't seem like much of anything, with no expressions at all.

"I suppose i am. Anyway, you should look into what you can do with that body. Seems versatile."

roel floats around a bit.
"Yeah, you sound different. Very neat, gills and fins. I still don't know what i am."

roel transforms back, and falls into the lake. He pools out in the water a bit, and stretches in and out to move around.
"You sound different, too."

"Alright... But I've heard people live in that lake... I didn't know that before, but... I don't want someone to swim into me."

roel flies with he calmly. He can out speed Kevin Without issue,mand he flies quite well. Magical flight has it's benefits.

he makes strange sounds as he bubbles and stirs, before he hardens into a small earth elemental.
"There. And..."
he moves again, but much slower, finishing the new form a little difficult, before casting fly.
"There."
he hovers a few inches off the ground, to demonstrate that he's ready.

"I don't have clothes with me, so human would be a bad idea. Probably will use earth elemental."

"No need. I can transform myself into an earth elemental if i like. Rarely do, though. Too solid for my tastes."

"Not very easily. I'm not perfectly self-contained."

"Yeah, I do magic. Not sure how, but it do. I'm also really good with a whip."

"I can fly too, if i remember right. I don't use wings though."

"I'm glad."

He smiles. He hadn't really had much of a friend before. At least one that talked.
He drops to all fours and stretches out all of his limbs, neck, wings, tail, arms, legs.
He is thick of body, but not so much fat or muscular. Under his stitched up lab coat, his belly hangs large, with a light from the school behind him, twenty or so vials are silhouetted in his midsection. When all stretched out like this, he's easily four times Roel's size. He gives a somewhat catlike stretch and flumphs down onto the ground and rests his head on his arms.
"So what now? Your pick. What do you like to do?"

"Umm... I swim sometimes. Mostly i just listen to people."

"Kevin, i don't mind answering questions. At this point, we have all the time in the world."
he collapses back into his normal state.
"I can say i enjoy being with friends, those i have."
