You find yourself in the small River Kingdoms town of Fort Inevitable, a resolute stronghold of law and order, just east of the Echo Wood. You have each responded to the call for "young adventurers ready to enter a world of glory and riches as new members of the Pathfinder Society, the greatest guild of adventurers in all of Golarion." You were told to meet Venture Captain Istivil Bosk at the The Red Shield Tavern, an establishment named for the striking coat of arms hanging in the common room. The taproom is busy with patrons, including a few Hellknights who reside in Fort Inevitable. A middle-aged woman works behind the bar, serving drinks with a no-nonsense attitude.

Let's get this thing going! Based on preferences from the group, we'll just kick things off with the beginning of Emerald Spire. Feel free to chat with each other, with patrons (you're welcome to create them if you'd like, though if you ask them any important questions, I'll of course give the answers), or with the woman working the bar. Also feel free to make knowledge checks and direct questions toward me about anything else you'd like.

Not quite ready to get things going for real, but I thought we could do a little RP to start things out. Head over to the Gameplay tab, where you'll find yourselves in the place that all great adventures should start—a tavern.

Now that The Emerald Spire Superdungeon has been sanctioned for PFS play, I'd like to open recruitment for five (5) experienced Pathfinder Society players to create new first-level characters designed specifically to play through the entirety of the superdungeon.

The Hook:
For ages untold, a gemstone monolith has pierced the heart of the Echo Wood. Now, as civilization intrudes upon this enigmatic splinter, a strange life once again stirs in the depths—one with ties to undying evils and a might beyond time itself. The promise of wealth and power calls to glory-seekers from across the Inner Sea region, tempting them into a labyrinth of monster-haunted vaults, defiled tombs, arcane laboratories, and worse, as they seek to unveil the secrets locked below the legendary Emerald Spire.

The Logistics:
The way the Emerald Spire chronicle sheets have been designed, to run through the whole superdungeon, one should start at 2nd level. By the end of the 16 dungeon levels (with some levels played for slow credit), that character will reach 13th level by the end (I really think we need a different word than level...).

Since we need 2nd level characters, I'm open to running any 1st-level module or AP book that people would like to play to start things off, so please give your opinion when you submit your character.

Posting Speed:
I can't promise a huge number of posts per day, though I'd like 1 or 2 at least per person. Having said that, I also don't want this to take years and years, so I'll make some attempts to speed up play at various points. Long story short, I'd like a nice mix of pace and RP, if that makes any sense.

Recruitment:
I likely won't have many chances to look at this over the weekend, so it will be open through Tuesday morning at a minimum. I'll give some notice as to when I'll close after that point.

About Me:
I'm a 2-star PFS GM who has been roleplaying for about 2 years now. I run a weekly game over Skype with friends from college, and I'm pretty new to PbPs here on the forums (though I've done some on other sites).

Please let me know if you have any other questions!

Not sure if this is exactly the right place for this, but I have an idea for a fiction blog of sorts, and I'm looking for some contributors.

As a thought experiment, I think it would be interesting to have a group of people attempt to "conquer" Golarion (or likely just Avistan), though conquer isn't the best word, because it would not be through military force alone; they would have to find ways to position themselves to pull the strings of the major players in the world.

My thought on how best to "produce" this is to write it in the form of letters (either to each other or to a "benefactor" who is funding the operation), describing events as they take place, along with plans for the future.

I know this is a bit rambling, but if this sounds interesting to anyone, let me know and we can connect through email. I'm looking for strong writers who have a good working knowledge of Golarion and are willing to put the time into planning this and producing good content.

Or, if you don't want to participate but just have ideas on how a group would go about this, feel free to post here as well!
