Yoshua beat me to it, but you can see wave 2 Starfinder miniatures now on the Archon Studio website.

Archon Studio Blog - Stardust

We'll more heavily promote this next week, but it works the same as the first wave of minis:

Important note from the blog:

If you have not yet made an order with us: Place an order for Zo! and/or Luwazi Elsebo and we will send you all the Kickstarter minis from wave 1 and wave 2 (stardust) as well. If you have previously ordered Zo! and received wave 1, then you will only need to order Luwazi Elsebo to get all the wave 2 (Stardust) Kickstarter minis. Please note that Zo! and Luwazi Elsebo are not Kickstarter minis. These are “Archon- released minis”. So if you just order Luwazi Elsebo, then you won't get Zo! Only the Kickstarter minis.

Good Gaming!

-Jim

Will we be receiving a single skittermander or an entire encounter pack of them with second sculpt as they appear to be sold as singles at archon without an alternate pose

Ok i have to ask....does anyone at Paizo even look at the kickstarter? do you even see what your "partner" is posting to your customer base.

1. Is paizo ok with this?
2. Is Archon ok with this?
3. Your lack of action seems to encourage them to be belligerent to the paizo customer base.
4. I for one due to this blatant disrespect from your "partner" will never purchase a single PF2 item and will for the foreseeable future no longer purchase any Starfinder items till some tangible action and apology happens to this said "Partner"

Note: i wish no ill will on Paizo or Archon but you guys are only as good as the company you keep as they say...and let you tell you one group in your little trinity is dragging you way down and trashing your reps.

Uh, I think from what we’ve been shown thus far Paizo is trying to not be partners with ND. They’re juts kinda stuck with em to a certain extent until this gets resolved.

Actually quite the opposite, the only things we’ve heard from paizo through this whole endeavor were that they had full confidence in ND and were giving them their full support

Honestly I stopped gming starfinder and pathfinder over this months ago, but still check in to see how bad it is, I never seem to be disappointed...

Over $500 for a bag of broken miniatures, if the dwarf is in 12 pieces, simple scaling tells us that some of the larger miniatures will be in 100s of pieces, is each scale of the dragon going to come separately? Are they going to come with 200 page instruction books like the larger LEGO sets or are we just going to be left with a pile of scrap plastic that they tell us somehow goes together into a dragon or other monster?

The page is still under the control of Ninja Division, who have done their utmost to not exist on the Kickstarter page. Archon has no control of it, and that is the biggest problem here.

Even if Archon pulls through in the next week and starts churning out these things, shipping is still on Mr. "We were given millions and ran out of bubble wrap, so your products (that totally exist) can't go out."

I just want to recoup my losses and let some optimistic soul out there wait for the nothing. Or hey, Paizo could just give me store credit?

I’m with him, store credit please

A 20mm dwarf comes in 12 pieces, do you understand how ridiculous that is?

Garbage, this campaign keeps getting worse

Why would you close the discussion thread for this third party product? Has paizo decided we’re not allowed to talk about it anymore?

Well as posted on the kickstarter by the ND user id, they claim paizo owns the sculpt models....so time will tell if they will just move the file over to wizkids and just hit print

That would be horribly upsetting and cause a lot of backlash with the pitchfork mob

Unless somehow a deal was worked out to get wizkids to deliver our minis, but ND doesn’t have the money for that

Arutema wrote:
Are said files even compatible with consumer 3D printers? Or would they require specialized manufacturing equipment most folks can't afford?

Some significant modifications would need to be made to print the models themselves, however very little work would need to be done to create a negative 3D image to print as a mold for casting

So since paizo is opening the license to allow wizkids to produce starfinder miniatures, will they be allowing the backers of the previous failed release to produce their own by providing the appropriate files?

This is on topic and also has been ignored repeatedly in other threads

Everyone,

Before I say anything else I want to say that I’m sorry my absence here has contributed to furthering anyone’s frustration and ill will.

Many of you have expressed that it was my vouching for Ninja Division in the early days of this project that pushed you over the line to make a pledge. If that’s the case with your decision to back, I also apologize to you. I certainly had much higher expectations that have not been met. I was very impressed with Ninja Division’s sculpting abilities and design expertise, and at the time we partnered with them they gave me reason to believe that the various setbacks they had encountered up to that point were unique and in the process of being handled. That gave me faith in them that they have not backed up with action, and I understand your frustration—and share it.

I actually drafted a statement a few weeks ago, around the time that mention of such a thing began to appear in this space. The message was emotional and visceral and very critical of Ninja Division’s failures. Many of you would have identified with its sentiment, I am sure. I ultimately decided to hold off on posting it when I heard that I’d have a chance to meet with Ninja Division at the GAMA Trade show. Rather than excoriate them in public, I wanted to get a chance to look them in the face and share my feelings (and many of yours) in person, to get a better sense of exactly where they were at and how likely they were to get everyone what they paid for.

I can tell you that at GAMA Trade Show I looked these guys in the eyes and confronted them in person about their ability to live up to their commitments to us and to their backers. They have suffered a tremendous number of setbacks and blows over the last couple of years (many of them self-inflicted, to be sure). I left the conversation confident that they have plans in place to get the funding necessary to live up to their commitments to us and to their backers, but I cannot say with confidence whether those plans will be successful.

I...

Thank you for finally coming in and talking to us, we appreciate it...better late than never

Anyways now that that’s out of my system, does Paizo own the sculpts as ND claims? and with the mounting evidence of lack of ability (even if they have the will) to complete the project will Paizo release them to backers for personal use?

So, is everyone from the locked thread coming over here now?

Please don't.

Supposedly, from another message, the other Kickstarter Thread will be reopened after Paizo Con when they have more time. I've asked in the General Discussion thread how to get messages to the Execs and Officers and I've followed their advice on how to send a message that will get a response. If you would like, I'll PM you any response I get.

If you want to send a message or complaint yourself, that thread has directions.

While I am all for keeping pressure up on Paizo for their receipt and retention of a significant amount of funds from this Kickstarter, doing the same thread under a new name when Customer Service is telling you they can't handle it with their current workload and because officers and execs won't talk to them just doesn't seem fair at the moment.

Take Care and let me know if you want me to PM you that information.

On the topic of fairness, do you think it’s fair we’ve been waiting for months for this executive response and only received periodic lame excuses?

The sudden closure of the thread and deleting of posts following a paizo supporter’s post suggesting contacting media outlets, legal advice and local governments instead of pestering you has me concerned. If paizo had done nothing wrong on this issue besides make a poor business decision as they claim there would be no reason for these actions.

Please clarify this decision.

I’m still here. Like before, there’s nothing I can say or any information I have that you don’t.

Okay let me rephrase an earlier question in a way that you should be able to answer it,

ND claims that paizo owns the sculpts of the miniatures that we never received, is that true?

And the follow up that you may not be able to answer,

If it is true, is releasing these for personal use for backers on the table as an option?

And one more,

Over a month ago customer service informed us that Erik was composing his thoughts to give us a response in regards to these issues and his assurances that the project would go well, what’s going on there?

Since my post seems to have been overlooked, you did however already answer the last one already to the best of your ability

This is an open call for paizo to comment on ownership of the production files and if or why they cannot release them to backers

Well the latest update from ND tells us that paizo has been working diligently on this problem...

By pressuring ND into admitting responsibility for their actions, which is a good step

However the clearly forced message saying to not to take it out on their partners in italics, combined with the continued absence of a comment from those who convinced us to invest in this project in the first place, tells us that paizo just wants us to go away and leave them alone.

You’re showing you care, just not about us.

Please list other companies that have the capability & willingness do do said project and provide a letter from them verifying they have the capability and would have said yes if approached.

Archon.

Next question?

If Archon could why didn’t they throw a bid originally I wonder? ND was needed as a middleman for some reason.

Because this process as paizo has described it wasn’t an open bidding process, they approached reaper and wiz kids then they approached Nd, it wasn’t a publicly available contract, it was specifically offered to nd which was a terrible descision that many of us went along with because of paizo reputation, but after getting a starfinder core book with the binding falling apart, misprinted pawns, and failed minis, it’s clear that paizo doesn’t give a s about starfinder

"ND or nothing" is not even remotely the same as "And claiming that there are no sculptors in the world capable of doing SciFi miniatures after existing artwork is ridiculous."

Rysky the Dark Solarion wrote:

Where are these other large mini companies with completely open schedules that can put out fleets of minis for an entirely new campaign setting?

WizKids and Reaper turned them down, ND said they could take them on.

It is exactly the same thing when all they did was sculpt them based on images provided to them and subcontract out all of the manufacturing

So saying they were the only people who could do it is saying that no one else could sculpt them

ND said yes, but everyone in the business including customers knew: No, not for a while.

The minis they have delivered disagrees with that.

As for everything else, it's what's been stated. Others turned them down or couldn't meet what they were needing, ND promised them they could. So it was ND or nothing.

A handful of minis some with melted faces doesn’t say capable of sending out large waves of minis

It'd be nice to know more on how this happened. Were those other companies approached? If so why did ND become the winning bid? As a grieved party, I kinda want to know what my loyalty to the company was worth.

$28 000/2500 backers

So about $10

So is this sudden activity going to stop after paizocon?

Repeat after me: Paizo is NOT LIABLE for Ninja Divisions problems.

I've had this discussion previously.

Paizo became liable when, despite warnings to the contrary, they reassured backers that they had investigated those concerns and ND would not have any issues and fulfill the kickstarter.

Paizo didn't just hand a license over to ND, they SOLD the project to backers who knew better but went ahead anyways because they trusted Paizo's word.

In that light, does that not make them indictable for accessory to fraud should the nd investigations go ahead since they both helped sell the scam and profited from it?

They hyperbole and venom being slung around here is only going to do 1 thing folks; Discourage REAL communication.

Repeat after me: Paizo is NOT LIABLE for Ninja Divisions problems. They licensed their IP to them so there could be some minis for the system. Paizo doesn't own ND, they don't have an "inside-man" and they're not making money off this Kickstarter with the exception of the one-time payment that was made when they sold the IP rights to the named and likenesses of the creatures to be made.

Additionally, I find is SERIOUSLY ironic that so many folks seem determined to utter destroy NDs reputation and business but at the same time they expect them to be able to follow through with actually delivering the miniatures. It's like trying to burn down the Bakery and picketing/boycotting their flour supplier and at the same time demanding that they fill your order, it just doesn't make a lick of sense.

I love how the pro ND argument is don’t use hyperbole then use it themselves in the same post

There's some question on that, I think?

Unless you have an ability that states otherwise, you cannot take 10 during a combat encounter. Also, you can’t take 10 when the GM rules that a situation is too hectic or that you are distracted, and taking 10 is almost never an option for a check that requires some sort of crucial effect as a key part of the adventure’s story.
Combat is called out separately from distraction, and the Take-10 entry on specialization skill mastery only calls out distraction. RAW is a bit fuzzy here.
No. That rule isn't remotely fuzzy. They can take 10 in combat. Thats what the ability does.

Specialization Skill Mastery 7th Level You become so confident in certain skills that you can use them reliably even under adverse conditions. When attempting a skill check with a skill in which you have the Skill Focus feat, you can take 10 even if stress or distractions would normally prevent you from doing so.

You’re right it’s not remotely fuzzy, it must specifically call out working in combat to do so, it does not therefore it does not work on trick attack

HealingYou can stabilize a dying creature and keep it from losing any more Resolve Points with any sort of healing, such as the stabilize spell. Healing that raises a dying creature’s Hit Points to 1 or higher makes it conscious and fully functional again, just as if it had never been reduced to 0 HP.

StableIf you were dying but spent Resolve Points to stabilize (see Using Resolve Points beginning on page 250 in Injury and Death), or if you received healing from an ally, you are stable. You are no longer dying, but you are still unconscious.

So in one sections it says if you receive healing you are conscious and in another it says if you receive healing you are unconscious and stable...which is it?
