You know the type (celestial, fiend, or undead) of any being whose presence you sense, but not its identity (the Vampire Count Strahd von Zarovich, for instance). Within the same radius, you also detect the presence of any place or object that has been consecrated or desecrated, as with the Hallow spell. Talk of drowning a God made him wonder if this tiefling was more than met the eye. ![]()

The gearforge didn't feel pain in the traditional sense, but he knew that some serious damage had been done to him and that he needed the zombie away from his internal workings. Using his shield he shoved the zombie backwards and then followed through with a brutal blow of his hammer, hitting it in the jaw. It was a fight between two opponents who were not going to back down due to anything as mundane as "excruciating pain." So what it came down to was which one was more durable. ![]()

![]() During Rilkus' vigil, he had something that was close to a dream. He thought he could hear the holy words of Rava, the Gear Goddess of Fate and Industry, in his head. The words echoed within him, and he remembered that they were the words spoken when he was forged. When his soul was transferred from his broken and dying body into this new one. As the words filled him, his metal form slowly but surely fixed itself. The many dents, breaks and holds closed, leaving him as he was when he was first made. No, better. By the time his vigil was over he felt more nimble than at any time that he could remember, and more in control of his body. He took it as a sign that his Goddess was pleased with his actions thus far. He silently resolved to continue serving her, until the time came when she determined that he had earned his rest. ![]()
