Hello. I’m making this post across all my games. These past few weeks have been filled with increasing health issues and I’ve been grateful for your understanding and patience. I’ve had to reevaluate my priorities and refocus energy into taking care of myself/my family and my ailing mother (she’s been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and has been rapidly declining). It wouldn’t be fair to take up a place in game and not be available to play with any consistency or coherency. So, sadly, I’ll be withdrawing from all my games. I’d sincerely like to thank all my excellent GMs and fellow players - I’ve enjoyed playing alongside you all and am grateful for the opportunity to learn new things and play my characters. At this stage, I don’t know when, or if, I’ll return to Paizo, so I want to wish you all the very best and please take care.

Glad to have sighted the hidden passage, and passing along the knowledge to the others, Reveka took her place in line and waited until Edo was ready to lead them into the passage to see what they would discover. She cast her (limited) sight about the tunnel.

"There's no magic, here. Perhaps it's just because I'm an oracle..." Reveka said quietly to her companions.

She decided to give into her urge because it felt important, somehow.

Reveka looked about keenly.

Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27 (30 ft lowlight & dark vision)

GM: How tall is the ceiling in this chamber? Higher than 30 ft?

Speaking to her companions in lowered voice, Reveka informed them,

"I'm feeling a strong urge to look. Not certain where it's coming from."

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (19) + 9 = 28 (Is the feeling/sense of urging feel good or bad?)

Reveka cast Detect Magic in the space, trying to determine if there were any magical auras/magic in play.

Relieved to see the grioth finally fall dead under the continued fighting, Reveka breathed a huge sigh of relief. Certain companions had sustained numerous wounds and she had been scared that one would surely die before the battle would come to a close. She was glad that wasn't the case and whispered a quiet prayer of thanks.

Looking over her shoulder at the cleric, she called out, "Brandor, please pull out your wand of healing and help the wounded."

To her invisible friends, Uhe and Maffei, she asked, "If you could reappear, it would make it easier to heal you, please."

Botting Brandor
To save his remaining healing spells in case of further battle, the cleric nodded and drew out his wand of cure moderate wounds. When the ones who had vanished reappeared, he assessed their injury and healed each person with the wand.

Reveka seeing Edo had one small wound which had not knitted over, said to Brandor, "I'll use my own wand to finish the healing, as he only needs a little more."

(Reveka used 1 charge of her Wand of CLW. She has 28 charges remaining on her Wand of CLW.)

Botting Liam

The savvy halfling sorcerer took a 5 ft step back out of the way of the enemy and quickly began casting (Scorching Ray spell). From his palm, he shot a searing beam/ray of fire at the grioth.

Ranged Touch Attack Grioth: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13 (35 ft range, add +1 for Bless if the touch ray attack gets the bonus for a total of 14.)
Fire Dmg, with Arcane Strike, if hits: 4d6 + 1 ⇒ (4, 2, 2, 6) + 1 = 15

Botting Edo

With great sword in hand, Edo furiously attacked the grioth who kept injuring him.

Attack, Bless, Power Attack/Furious Focus on Grioth: 1d20 + 8 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 8 + 1 = 21 (Add +2 if flanking with invisible Maffei vs large foe is allowable for a total of 23)
Dmg, if hits, with arcane strike bonus: 2d6 + 4 + 2 + 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6, 1) + 4 + 2 + (3) + 1 = 17

Botting Brandor

Positioning himself accordingly so as to not effect the grioth with his positive healing energy (and where he last saw/noted his two now invisible companions), Brandor once again lifted his holy symbol and began channeling healing energy toward his wounded companions.

Channel Energy - 30’ radius

Heals: 2d6 ⇒ (1, 4) = 5

Uhe is 21/35 HP, Maffei 7/42 HP and Edo 30/44 HP

If the guys don't post by tomorrow, I'll start botting to keep the combat moving. I hope they'll be okay with that.

GM, Edo's HP are 42/44 after Reveka's CLW healing. He's dropped the Flame of Sarkoris sword, however he has his great sword in hand, which he drew this round.

Round 6 - Botting Edo

Using a hero pt to stand from prone without incurring an AoO, Edo drew his greatsword (leaving the Flame of Sarkoris on the ground for now) and attacked the grioth with renewed ferocity.

Attack, Bless, Power Attack/Furious Focus: 1d20 + 8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 8 + 1 = 10
Dmg with Arcane Strike, if hits: 2d6 + 4 + 2 + 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5, 1) + 4 + 2 + (3) + 1 = 16

The strike went wide, missing the foe, Edo cursing, much to his annoyance.

Round 7- Reveka

Taking a 5ft step side-ways/back, Reveka began casting (CLW) and touched Edo's side, infusing the fighter with magical healing.

CLW on Edo: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12

(Edo's HP are now 42/44 HP.)

Botting Brandor in Round 6

Seeing his companions fall at the hands of the grioth, Brandor moved to get into position to channel healing energy, grasping the holy symbol tightly in his hand, that he never let go of since the last divine help. With conviction in his voice, he called upon his god yet again, Channeling Positive Energy to his fallen and wounded comrades.

Those within the 30ft radius (all allies, excluding the grioth) are washed over with healing positive energy.

Heal: 2d6 ⇒ (3, 5) = 8

(Spending a hero pt to channel a second time. This leaves Brandor with 1 hero point.)
Heal: 2d6 ⇒ (5, 2) = 7

(Uhe is now at 16/35 HP, Maffei is 2/42 HP, and Edo 30/44 HP)

Uhe, Reveka healed you. You’re at 1HP and wouldn’t need a stabilisation check as you’re no longer bleeding out?

Round 6

Seeing both Uhe and Maffei drop to the ground, unmoving, Reveka called out to the cleric, standing at the back of their company,

"Brandor, Maffei is down. Take care of her. I'll help Uhe."

Reveka moved carefully around the back (25 ft) to stand near Uhe. Reaching out/down, she touched her friend's head and began to cast (CMW), hoping to bring him back from the brink.

CMW on Uhe: 2d8 + 4 ⇒ (2, 6) + 4 = 12 (This brings Uhe to 1/35 HP, he's prone but conscious)

NYE here in Oz and then New Year's Day tomorrow. I'll get back to regular posting on the 2nd January (1st Jan in the northern hemisphere). :)

Round 5 for Reveka

So much blood and carnage at the hands of the grioth and his mighty weapon. Dear Uhe was still standing - yet had suffered quite a beating from the enemy - as had Edo. But, it was Maffei who was on the ground, unmoving even after Brandor's efforts. (Edo after channel is at 13 hp, Maffei is at -6 HP. The channel didn't reach the wounded Uhe?)

Moving carefully around her allies (15 ft), Reveka came to stand behind Maffei and laying her hand on the otherworldly creature's shoulder. She began to cast, positive energy flowing from her hand into Maffei's body.

Casting CMW on Maffei: 2d8 + 4 ⇒ (2, 4) + 4 = 10 (Maffei is now at 4 HP.)

Round 4 Retcon

Moving carefully back/around 30ft to stand behind the prone and heavily wounded Edo, Reveka began to cast and touching the enlarged man's head, she infused him with her healing magic.

CMW on Edo: 2d8 + 4 ⇒ (4, 4) + 4 = 12

(Using a hero pt to reroll 2d8 if permitted by GM.)

CMW on Edo: 2d8 + 4 ⇒ (6, 8) + 4 = 18

Round 4

Loading a new bullet into her crossbow, Reveka carefully made her way 20 ft forward, keeping to the wall and out of direct melee.

Two move actions this round.

GM, you’re still rolling 1d1 for the grioth’s attack instead of 1d20.

Botting - Round 2 Edo

Edo furiously attacks the beast with the Flame of Sarkoris raised high.

Attack, Power Attack/Furious Focus: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15
Dmg, if hits, with Arcane Strike: 2d6 + 4 + 2 + 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5, 5) + 4 + 2 + (3) + 1 = 20

I've already botted Brandor in Round 2 (see above post). Maffei has Round 2 actions to go. Reveka's taken her Round 3 action already, so then it'll be the grioth's turn.

Reveka stepped down (5ft) to stand behind Uhe. Loading a new bullet into her light crossbow, she had an unimpeded view of the grioth and she fired.

Light Crossbow attack on Grioth: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7 (80ft range)
Dmg, if hits: 1d8 ⇒ 4 (add a +1 to dmg if Uhe continues his war chant this round, for a total of 7 dmg.)

Round 2 - Botting Brandor

Loading a new bullet into his crossbow, the priest took a step forward (5ft) and fired at the grioth once again, hoping this time to hit the threat,

Light Crossbow attack on Grioth: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17 (90ft range)
Dmg, if hits: 1d8 ⇒ 6 (add a +1 to dmg if Uhe continues his war chant this round, for a total of 7 dmg.)

Maffei attacks the grioth, leaping in beside Edo, but none of her blows strike home.

Botting Brandor in Round 1

The cleric drew his light crossbow and loaded a bullet. Taking a 5ft step sideways to get a better/clearer angle/shot at the grioth - no allies in the line of fire), he fired.

Round 2 action for Reveka

Reveka moved down 20 ft so she could get into range to see the creature with her limited sight. What she then saw set her teeth to edge, yet she was ready with her crossbow in her hands, which she had recently loaded. With Uhe's war chant in her ear, she aimed and fired at it.

Light Crossbow attack on Grioth: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8 (80ft range)
Dmg, if hits, with arcane strike bonus: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9

Round 1

The voice she could hear in her mind and Reveka shook her head to dislodge its presence for she did not like the feeling. Then she heard the challenge, yet could not see the creature that issued it for it lay somewhere beyond her 30 ft limited sight. To her companions, she uttered the usual admission, "I cannot see it, although I hear it to the north. I'll do what I can for now."

She began to cast, calling upon the Mother of Soul's divine guidance as she laid her laid on Edo's arm. "May the Mother of Soul's guide your hand and heart, Edo."

Cast Guidance on Edo: +1 competence bonus on a single Attack Roll, Saving Throw, or skill check.

Reveka then drew the light crossbow from her back and loaded a bolt, getting her weapon ready once she could sight the creature.

"If we return to the great hall with the nine pillars and the statue, there was a staircase there, leading upward. If we're looking for a belltower, then we climb those stairs." Reveka began to point the way.

I've moved the tokens down to the door leading into the long narrow hallway that leads down into the chamber in question. Uhe is closest to the door, and then Edo can lead everyone forward. If there aren't any threats along the way, then for expediency I can place all the tokens by the stairwell and then we each can narrate and roll our actions from there?

Do we prefer expending spells or potions for healing? Edo has 2 Cure Light Wounds he can use. Priority should go to Maffei.

Reveka, Uhe and Brandor each have a wand of CLW, so we have those resources in our arsenal, too. :)

Seeing how injured the blurry Maffei was, Reveka removed the wand from her pouch and moved toward the otherworldly creature in an attempt to heal her.

"I wish to heal you, Mistress Maffei, by your leave," she stated politely to the creature who had allied with them.

The wounds were numerous from what she could tell when the creature wasn't blurring out of focus. With wand in hand, she pointed it at the creature and continued numerous times until she could determine if she was hale and whole when Maffei was momentary in focus.

"You both should feel better now," a little frown playing across her forehead as she worried over the curse of the Mummy Rot still on Edo.

Having moved into the other chamber, the young oracle looked to see Liam and Uhe in deep conversation. "Will we be resting here before trying to find this Alchemist?", Reveka enquired of her companions. Then continued, "If he/she has bombs and drinking solutions, would it more prudent to rest and regain our strength and spells before meeting them?"

We're currently on the ground floor, in the Hall of Serenity. From the maps, we need to climb up via the stairs to reach the top floor (3rd floor) where there's stairs leading up to the belfrey, if I'm reading the map correctly? That means we have two floors to get/search through and possibly more foes to encounter before we reach the bell tower. Our resources are low, yes? How low? I'm not sure of Reveka and how many of her spells were used via bots during my absence?

I'll try to get back into the game from this point forward. Sorry for the radio silence - just too many health concerns to contend with. I haven't had the chance to read up on the all the posts I've missed (far too many - apologies!). I'll try and catch on the most recent to try to gauge the present situation. Life can suck sometimes. I'm having a crappy run of bad luck, poor health, a very sick mother (she's developed Alzheimer's) and sick fur babies and my free time and energy levels are pretty much at nil. Forgive me.

My posting on the boards for the next month will be sporadic at best and I hope this is somewhat okay with the GM and players. If it isn't (and I do understand), I can withdraw from the game to give you the opportunity to bring in another player with time to dedicate to the game. Regrettably tonight, I've withdrawn from two of my faster games on the boards because there was just no way I could keep up with all the postings and play my characters how I wished to.

If you're willing to continue botting Reveka over the next month, hopefully I can at least get over my own virus (6 weeks and counting so far and I'm sick of being sick) and see my fur babies well again and it'll free up some time for me to play on the boards a little more regularity and with more substantiality. I really do enjoy playing Reveka and this is one of my longest games on the board and I don't really wish to give it up, if I don't have to.

Please let me know what you decide. As I mentioned, I'll understand whatever the decision is.

My cat’s seriously injured and can’t walk on his own. I’m his nurse (carrying, lifting, medicating him) until his surgery next week. I won’t be back on the boards until next week. Sorry about all this personal upheaval. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

I took a nasty spill over the weekend and busted my face and both thumbs up. This is on top of the never ending virus and eye situations. I'm on strong meds which make me drowsy/sleepy and I'm not lucid enough to read and make posts at the moment. Every game I'm in at the moment is in some kind of combat, and I just can't keep up. :/ Can someone please bot Reveka in this game, for the remainder of this week? Thanks kindly.

Back through the doors and then to the door in the south (moved Liam and Reveka's icons close to said door). Does anyone want to investigate the alcove in the south - near the door, first?

Reveka listened to Liam's caution and simply nodded, ready to move along with the others. It was good they had gotten a chance to rest up, but they now had to return to the task at hand and more prudently.

Reveka, even with her limited sight to thirty feet, was determined to keep her eyes and ears open for any sign of threat or danger. She moved near Uhe as was her way.

Complications with my eye situation. Looks like I'll be seeing an ophthalmologist for possible surgery on my left eyelid. Sorry I've been MIA, but I'm trying to limit my exposure on the comp and trying to rest up. Sincere apologies for my lack of presence on the board. I developed a severe eye infection in my left eye last week that grew worse and I had to go into hospital. I'm back home now, but with an eye patch, on bed rest. So, being in front of a comp for any length of time isn't the best for me. With the fine great sword in hand, Edo struck at the mummy creature, with ferocity, again.

Attack with Flame of Sarkoris, PA, FF, AS, Brandor's aid and Reveka's Guidance on Kanjougas: 1d20 + 8 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 8 + 1 + 1 = 28 (plus Uhe's aid?)
dmg, if hits: 2d6 + 11 + 1d6 ⇒ (6, 5) + 11 + (4) = 26 (That's 4 fire damage included.)

Botting Edo

Even as the mummy's rot robbed him of some of his vitality, Brandor's magical protection against evil bolstered the warrior and once again Edo swung the Flame of Sarkoris great sword on the mummy.

Attack + Power Attack w/Furious Focus + Arcane Strike: 1d20 + 9 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 9 + 1 = 28
Damage + Power Attack: 2d6 + 4 + 3 ⇒ (1, 1) + 4 + 3 = 9

Edo has Protection Against Evil on him via Brandor's spell - lasts 4 mins. Edit: I just noted Brandor's post before mine and he now has Funeral Weapon as well lasts 4 mins - the great sword easily bypasses the physical defenses of undead creatures, ignoring 5 points of an undead creature’s damage reduction, as long as the damage reduction is not DR/epic.

Reveka, having conferred with Uhe, called out to her other companions, in way of warning/guidance, "Its touch is diseased and the mummy's vulnerable to fire." Looking across the chamber to Little Liam, she asked, "Do you possess any fire magic, Liam? If you do, best use it."

Not being able to do much from her current position, the young oracle touched Uhe's arm and cast Guidance on him, asking the Mother of Souls to help her friend.

Reveka cast guidance on herself and then attempted to remember what she knew of Kanjougas and their strengths and weaknesses to better instruct/aid her friends.

Know. Religion re weakness and strengths of Kanjougas + Guidance bonus: 1d20 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 7 + 1 = 15

She then moved up (15 ft) - away from the mummified creature - to stand close to Uhe.
